Its the biggest store in town and has most everything youll ever need. Store is clean, has ample parking, and a friendly staff. Not a lot of other choices in Northfield so this is probably your best bet for one stop shopping, unless you want to drive to Faribault or the Cities.

I’m a regular customer at Target in northfield and I go to the Starbucks everyday before my shift I’ll even walk over during my shift most of the time, Everyday there is this employee in the Starbucks area named Heather, She makes my drinks so perfect and full of flavor and she always communicates with the customer she’s serving while she’s making their drink, heather is always going above and beyond to help a customer/employee she’s always friendly and always has a smile on her face even when she’s having a bad day. She shows exactly what perfect customer service is supposed to look like!!! She shows that there is still good people in the world. She will go out of her way to help someone else! Thank you heather and thank you target northfield for hiring people like this!!

The reasoning behind the high score is that the Northfield location in particular, has really stepped up their game. The dressing room attendant was very attentive and friendly. Being a boutique manager, I really enjoyed the attention and helpfulness that was offered, as you see in small, local boutiques so way to go Target! Keep up the great work and continue training your employees to be a helpful and friendly face that asks, Can I help you with anything today? Bravo!

While I love Target and normally would give it a 10, the Northfield store is pretty lacking and seems to be going downhill fast. I would recommend other Target locations over this one.

I litteraly LOVE Starbucks! It’s my favvvvv. I love the cotton candy frappe, Java chip, pink drink, carmel ribbon crunch. Etc. the only thing I wish there was is that they had less coffee/caffeine in them. Also would like some more people working there because I have to wait 10 min just to get a drink... they also never gimme straws when I need them.

The store is well lit and maintained. The cleaning staff does good work in the store and bathrooms. There is a problem keeping high demand items on the shelves, but thats not terribly unusual for department stores in this area.The real problems come at checkout. They have the usual self checkout stations, about six of them, which work well for those who dont mind providing free labor to Target, or dont have many items in their cart. Theyre modern and seem to function well with minimal problems.Service checkout is another matter. They have ten registers but typically only keep one open at a time. The others are there seemingly for show, or holiday shopping schedules. Normally I dont see this as being a problem, however, during the busiest hours of the day this presents as a major inconvenience to shoppers who are loaded up with full carts. Expect long wait times for checkout service.I dont know know if its a staffing problem, the indifference of the leads, wholl look on uncaringly (or helplessly) from the self-checkout monitoring station, as eight or more fully loaded carts start stacking up, obstructing the flow of foot traffic into the store. Perhaps the store is just mismanaged, or corporate is trying to maximize profit by limiting hiring. In any case, it makes for a undesirable shopping experience.The older cashiers are pleasant. The teenagers could probably use a little more seasoning/training in customer service. Expect a little attitude. Itll be a bit of a wait from staff at push call button stations (electronics, home improvement, etc) there simply isnt enough of them to cover the whole store effectively.To summarize; I recommend you buy the bulk of your shopping needs from other retailers, and limit the number of items you acquire from this location in a single trip. Youll save yourself the headache Ive grown all too familiar with.

Location, location, location, Polly the check out lady thats always friendly!! AND efficient! Sometimes a rare quality these days. Please Target remove those HUGE carts in the aisles that are blocking customers from being able to move their carts freely!

Drive up service is terrible. They cancel your order last minute and dont have the correct stock on app and website. Plus the customer service has gone downhill like most companies.

The order was not what I wanted....instead of getting Driscoll strawberries I got an off brand that were not up to my standards . I order 2 different size Nestle pure Water and got only one six and they did tell me that the blueberries were not available...

The price was great. 1/2 off if you order on line. The lady that help me this morning was super nice.

Target never fails me! This store is just the right size - not too overwhelming, yet fully stocked and rarely missing anything important. They could improve their grocery section a bit. Hence the 4 stars instead of 5. Wish there was a way to give 4.75 stars!

This Target store is great! The staff is helpful and the store is clean.

Some guy helped me navigate through the Cartwheel stuff and he was really helpful. However, when it came time to check out I discovered that a sign in the paper products area promising $15 off had expired two days ago. That was in little tiny type hidden in a corner of the sign. Query: why not take the sign down if its obsolete rather than waiting for the customer to find out at checkout? This is pretty much bait and switch and really bad for a great store like Target.

QUICK - my ordered was quickly prepared for pick up. Items were as ordered and easy to get at checkout. I saved a lot of time doing this.

This target has a decent produce section, and also goes through items quickly, which leads to a good clearance section for each area.This is also a test Target, which means you may find items that arent at other Targets, especially smaller, newer products.Service is also top notch and very friendly.

At Target they have a nice selection of the items you need most. The employees there are friendly and helpful, and theres usually someone who can assist you if needed. If theres no employees in sight, theres usually a call box, close by with a button to press for assistance. Great place!

Been going here since target first opened in northfield and I have always liked it. I went in about an before closing and they had some slow kid that couldn’t do anything working the only non self serve checkout. It took them about 10minutes to check out the few times that I had. Then they forgot to give me my receipt

Your basic Target. On the small size as far as Targets go but has a pharmacy and has a small grocery section. I usually find that they have too few checkout lanes open and usually have to wait in line quite a while even if I just have one or two items (there is no 10 items or less lane, for example).

Was shopping there for a few items that I had problems finding. Asked a boy named Chase who was working there if he could help me find them. Was rude about it and basically asked me to “find them myself” and rolled his eyes when I asked him to show me them again. Told me he was too busy to help me and I could figure it out myself. Asked another boy named Coltin to show me where they were and he was excited and happy to show me where they were. Only giving this 3 stars because while Chase was extremely rude Coltin helped me out a lot and made sure I found what I needed.

Everything I need I can find at Target

First of all, this is just a basic, not SuperTarget, so dont expect to be able to do a full grocery shop. The variety of items they do carry is limited and they are frequently out of stock, and the store seems chronically understaffed. That said, if you need to make a quick stop for a very basic household item, this is a convenient location.

I like how clean the stores are and how organized the isles and shelves are. Plus the employees are really nice.

Nice clean target with a good coffee shop near the entryway. Store is usually not over busy. Grocery selection is smaller than other Targets like a Greatland. But Cub Foods right next door. Its easy to find things and staff are friendly.

The self checkout has been slightly challenging. Had a few issues with things ringing up correctly and then difficult getting it corrected. Other than that we love target.

The staff was nice but they dont have a very big selection of things. They have very little boys clothes or shoes but plenty of stuff for little girls. The groceries were also lacking.

Update: The store supervisor contacted me and apologized. Much respect to them, and my issue has been resolved.

We went to the Northfield, Minn. store today and used the family restroom. It was awful....from the dirty toilet to the trash littered floor, it was gross!

Target always has what I need. Its convenient, little high on price but the quality is better than anywhere else overall.

It is a smallish Target, and not a Super Target. That being said, I receive good customer service when I go. One has to be prepared for items to be out of stock, and occasionally things are out of stock for more than a week or two. Otherwise, this Target has little of everything and there is a pharmacy. No quick clinic or eye Care there. A Starbucks and they have a few Target Cafe options with a slushy machine. New self-checkout lanes as well as Customer Service/returns done through the first couple checkout lanes.

They have everything you need plus a Starbucks for coffee/tea ~ Helpful, friendly staff, too.

Typical target store, the only problem with this one are some of the snooty customers. If you work hard for a living, and stop there after work looking like you actually work. ...you get some looks of disapproval like its a fashion show or something. Get over yourself Northfield. Youre a small cow town. Nothing more.

I like this Target store, but the Starbucks needs a real barista to come in and train staff. As long as a machine makes your coffee youre fine. The pour overs are rushed and very weak. Ive ordered dark roast coffee two times in the afternoon and Id have been better off with instant coffee made with hot tap water.

Understock. They provide an insufficient quantity of clothes, (mostly boys clothing), shoes, merchandise supplies and whatever I need. So, I have to order online instead or go to other Target in Apple Valley, Lakeville or Burnsville. Through, the staff is great (I am impressed they hire deaf persons) and service is excellent!

Line to check out was forever long - 3 self check outs and 2 small lanes. Do you want business?

I hate this Target! As a former Target associate at another location Im irritated at how poorly this store is run especially at night. They close ALL their primary lanes and self-checkout before 9:30 PM, so near closing there are 15+ people in line FOR ONE LANE! I only shop here when Im desperate!
