Unique store with lots of useful and collectable products. Just when you think you have seen it all and turn the corner, new and even more unusual, weird and more unusual stuff jumps out. A true museum.

What an incredible store! Everything you could possibly imagine, from electrical parts (wire, components, etc) to vintage equipment, as well as swap-meet/flea market electronic type stuff, even vinyl albums! One of the most unique places Ive ever seen. The people are wonderful and helpful, and theres even a dog!

Went in and asked for 5 pin DMX connectors and he had no idea what I was talking about. When I described it he then knew. Then when I went to check out he tried to charge me $115 for 4 connectors. I normally get them for about 4-5 dollars a connector. Massive rip off! save your time and shop elsewhere. They aren’t friendly or helpful.

Called these guys with an oddball request for a strange old capacitor. They helped me identify the part from pictures of my board and they had what I needed in stock!! These guys were very helpful! Will recommend.

If I could give a thousand stars I would!! Was my first time there. The people are extremely knowledgeable. I had an electrical problem that no one could help me with. Blasting loud music that prevents a conversation with the person behind the counter. When I went to ask the boss to lower the volume I was attacked by a barking and snarling dog. Not a pleasant place.

Green Brook Electronics has the widest selection of electronic parts and test equipment outside of a major electronics distributor. The prices are through the roof, but if you need it, it will be there. Service is excellent. If you need it quickly, get it there. If you can order it from a distributor, you will save money

Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. I dont know who I spoke to but they definitely emphasize customer service. I ordered two thermal fuses for a defroster circuit and they had exactly what I needed and were willing to mail USPS to NYC. Reasonable prices and shipping options. Thanks for the help!!!

The store is scattered, has a lot but also not a whole lot. Is best for niche products that might be hard to find online, but ridiculously overpriced for any and everything. Ive only gone here as a last resort/need an item quick type thing.Ill grant you the staff here are usually knowledgeable, and if not, at least theyre friendly.

I could spend hours just walking around and looking at all the rare and unique electronic components they have neatly scattered around the store.If they were ever to hire anyone, they are the first place Id want to be working.

The staff there is very friendly and knowledgeable. I needed a thermal fuse that was rare to find, and they had it. They have the largest variety of parts and electronic equipment I ever seen. They even have classic and antique equipment dating all the way back to the turn of the century. And even a classic Harley, yes I said Harley motor bike. Literally millions of parts. Im glad they moved to North Plainfield R22 West right after Astro Rents.

Very helpful people and they have every electronic component you can imagine. This was my first trip there and they let me wonder the store without harassing me, I got a warm smile and a head nod when I walked in and I browsed for about 10 minutes before I walked up to the counter and they asked what they could help me with. Will absolutely return in the future.

Green Brook Electronics is the place to go for personal or commercial projects. If they is a special part you need that is a very good chance Green Brook will have it. The employees there were extremely helpful to me every time I had a question or needed advice for my electronic projects I did. Some of the merchandise is a little pricey but unless you know of another niche electronics store in the area, accessibility backs up their price

I was looking for a local store to buy some switches and resistors. I found Green Brook Electronics on the web and it was close so I figured I would go down there. I should have just gone to radio shack, but I was hoping to find someplace with a better selection. They do have a better selection, but it comes at a price. That price is 20 to 50 times what components are worth, surly counter clerks, and a disorganized and dirty store. Someone must be on drugs charging $5 for for a micro slide switch that I usually buy for a quarter. The whole store is stocked with the NTE electronics catalog from ten years ago. Maybe this is why everything is such a bad value. What a waste of time. I did not and will not spend any money there.And for the guy who said This is the way electronics store should be. he must be on drugs too. Green Brook Electronics is NOT competitive, friendly, clean, well organized or a reasonable value.

Bought item, was assured I could return for store credit.Even had them open package.Returned item because it did not work.NO STORE CREDIT. Who told you that - he did. I reminded him his employ opened package. No luck.Dealing with the devil :( Sad.

If youre looking for the common and odd components, this is the place to look. Since RS when missing, this the only store I can get things other than online. Needs better lighting and they need to keep up with stock but if youre looking for really odd things, this is the place. They are a little pricy on some things but eager to help you, including ordering items not commonly in stock.

Never dealt with the store in person but the online order placed through Amazon and fulfilled by them was packaged professionally and arrived without damage. True, it does appear they are charging top dollar but when they have an item few other stock any more they are worth it.

Sure, some of the clerks can be rough, but when you deal with the owner youre guaranteed to get what you want, and hell give you a reasonable deal if youre a regular. Not only that, but they have the know-how to help you with your projects, unlike Derp-Shack.

Took in a 5yr old subwoofer circuit board in to get a simple diode.I was greeted by a very warm/friendly elderly gentleman who proceeded to help me. You can tell he was genuinely interested in electronics and helping me. As I had some questions, he handed it off to one of the Techs --- Mike --- Mike was also very friendly and extremely knowledgeable in his skill going by his explanations he was giving me.Not only did he confirm the diode was bad but he noticed a surface mount resistor had gone bad too... which he showed me using a magnifying glass. He was very noticeable. By this time, i was there approx 1/2 hr at which time I said to him, can you please fix this for me right away...He started to work on the board...tested and fixed it (the Power LED was on again)I was expecting this to cost me around $50 with parts. When i received the bill,,,,i was PLEASANTLY surprised! $29!!! for an hours work!!!!where you gonna find that!!!! took home my subwoofer, plugged it in...and bamn ... it works like new!!!!!thank you GREENBROOK ELECTRONICS!!!!HIGHLY RECOMMEND it...
