Oh my !!!! This Portuguese cafe is to die for, first time stepping in I ordered a toasted, buttered sweet bread & croissant 🥐 my boyfriend ordered the chorizo bread & a ham, egg & cheese sandwich. They have such a large selection of pastries that all looked amazing! The staff is extremely friendly. Cute place to sit and relax. Right on ridge road with ample amount of parking. I will definitely be visiting again soon! Thank you 😊

Café Mauro is an ideal place for breakfast or snacks. All produce is fresh. The friendliness of the staff. They make sandwiches that you want to lick your fingers so tasty they are. If I recommend it? Of course yes. 100%.

Absolutely love Cafe Mauro! Perfect place for break,brunch or lunch! Quick double expresso and a ham,egg&cheese is my go to. Never can leave here without taking the Chorizo bread or a sweet Nutella pastels de nata to go!!! The best around. Cafe Mauro is truly a hidden gem of North Arlington. No matter the time of day you will be greeted with delightful service and friendly customers all in support of the same place! Highly recommended!

This spot is the one I always prefer. I visit a lot of restaurants but to this place I keep coming back again and again. The team is very helpful and the food they offer is so fresh and tasty. I never miss an opportunity to have a good meal in this place. I recommend this place with pleasure.

Stopped in to purchase some custard tarts (pasteis de nata) to bring to a party. They were delicious and went quickly! This was my first time at the cafe, very cute and has outdoor tables.

I adore this spot! They offer marvelous food, their menu is nice, The cook in that place is very experienced, I love very much trying all their food. The food is always fresh, the attitude towards the customers is friendly. I go often to this place and I not even once was unhappy. I recommend it to all.

Small sweet spot! I had a piece of pound cake and Latte and it was just perfect sweet I like in my cake. I plan to visit again to try other 🍰 with ☕! Enjoy the fresh Portuguese sweetness.

Great Portuguese food and desert with good coffee. We had the ham and cheese croissant and a ham and cheese on Portuguese croissant both toasted, both were yummy. For dessert we had the egg custard and yogurt cake, they were fresh and delicious! They serve you in a timely manner with a smile. The place is clean. Their price is reasonable. Inside and outside sitting.

Nice place to sit and have a coffee with a friend. Never too crowded. They have a few sweet pastries to satisfy a sweet tooth. The girl at the counter is awesome! She even educated me on Potugese name of a latte...

I wouldnt say comfort food at all. Yes small plates...very cute SMALL plates as to the menu was the size of 1/4 a sheet of paper with about 12 items on it. Quaint little Portuguese cafe specializes in their beautiful pastries and cakes!! I asked for a EGG ham and cheese and clearly got a grilled ham and cheese,no EGG. I asked where the egg was and she said I had to say egg. Maybe she meant I was supposed to say it in Portuguese because I clearly pointed to and said egg.

Mom & Pop shop fam by a great family. They’re so kind to everyone & its a great environment. Great prices, great food, excellent service.

Have tried most of the snacks there.. all of them taste great...Don’t miss the pastel de Nata(w Nutella).. and a pastry (made of beans I think..)

Nice place to visit in the morning for expresó. I normally come here on Tuesdays and Thursdays for the delicious pastries. If you are ever in the neighborhood, I highly recommend the Spanish rice pudding cake.

Really like this place. Its a gem of a find and the pastries are amazing. I go here for the chicken empanadas. They are the best. If the seating were cozier, Id stay for hours. Lovely staff.

This is a tiny little cafe (I wouldnt label it a hole-in-wall, its too quaint to be mislabeled) with a small menu, but their dishes are all home made and very delicious!You have to try the Pastel de Nata!!! Youll definitely will want another one!Highly recommended you stop in.

I LOVE THIS PLACE !!!!!! their mini pão de ló de ovar ARE SO FLUFFY and flavorful. the (basically) ovos moles liquid in the middle from not cooking it all the way is the BEST PART. cafe mauro has been supplying these cakes for all of our holidays for a couple of years now and always will from now on.

Nice authentic Portuguese Bakery with the signature Pasteis de nata. Try the toasted rolls and butter with a galao (latte). Nice place that gets lots of business despite being across the street from Dunkin Donuts.

Wonderful place for coffee and dessert and the staff there treats you like family.

Tried the smoothie while there and it was over priced at $6 and didnt even taste great. They said it was some Brazilian fruit. Biggest turnoff was they went into another room to prepare it and took so long in the end. I like my food prepped right in front of me. Bad experience... Never going back.

I paid for my order and give tip , but the owner doesnt want to provide the WiFi password. She said because we will spend hours seating and working on your laptop... What the **** stupid and poor custom services... instead of saying that she had the opportunity to say sorry we dont have WIFI...I WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS PLACE....
