Came by on Monday after making a reservation to purchase a rear tire. Purchased the tire, a Michelin power 5 after doing research it fit my riding style rather expensive close to $300 when factoring in mounting and balancing. I brought my wheel in when I made the purchase so they could go ahead and do the swap. They communicated the tire would be done in the evening great. That’s where the good ends. Got the wheel back. I did notice some scratches and chips that was not seen on my wheel previously. I came back and was told the “machine” wouldn’t cause the chips in the area that I’m seeing. I’m not doubting that but I am for certain the wheel did not have that many nicks prior to having the new tire mounted and balanced. Of Course no responsibility was taken and wasn’t satisfactory especially for a repeat customer here. All other experiences here has been good if this can be repaired and rebalanced I would have no issues with this location.

Fantastic customer service in every regard. Tank was extremely helpful and even shared his own personal motorcycle story. We ended up buying the same brand that saved his life! We will certainly be back and highly recommend.

The staff at this location is friendly and has great knowledge of their products. Prices on items are reasonable and they have a large amount of stock. If not in store they have means of getting what you need for the most part. Thanks you guys are amazing!

Had a weekend ADV riding trip coming and needed a new pair of riding boots. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. Found the right boots and will definitely shop there again.

I would give the Norfolk Cycle Gear a 5 star rating, except the one thing I went for, new riding boots, had a very limited selection compared to what they used to have. This is no reflection on the manager, because he can only sell what is sent to him. That, and the fact that this whole COVID experience has put a halt to some production and shipping . The manager was very helpful and attentive to me the whole time I was there. Not really crazy about the boots I ended up purchasing, but I should have started looking sooner since I’m leaving in a couple weeks.

My experience at Cycle Gear in Norfolk, VA was excellent! All the staff were nice, helpful and very knowledgeable about the products that I purchased. They didn’t have the helmet I wanted in stock but quickly got one shipped from another store. They even installed and connected the Bluetooth system for me! Great service!

The guy that helped me was very helpful and nice. But the products that cycle gear Carries are pure junk. I spent over a grand on things and not 1 of them worked more than a few months. Hell some didnt even work more than a month. Ill never buy anything from them ever again.

Just purchased my first real helmet from the Cycle Gear location in Norfolk, VA. Got more information in an hour from the staff than Ive received from multiple visits to other shops combined. The helmet works great! Will go back.

Bought helmet speakers. The girl behind the desk had no clue how to install. After 20 mins waiting on here, I jumped in an installed it in 2-3 mins. I think they may be hiring new riders. LolHelmet speakers are pretty basic in the motorcycle world. If you ask about helmets, the females would just guide you to most expensive one. Madness 🤣I remember the days when people who worked at cycle gear knew what they were talking about. 😬

Absolutely fantastic customer service. Special ordered some tires Monday but they somehow were lost during transit. No fault on cycle gear but after talking to some great customer service representatives they very quickly sent out a new set to my local store where they were to be installed. I will definitely be coming back and recommending them to all my fellow riders.

Went in to get my first helmet. Selection was great, everyone was really helpful. The guy helping me answered all my questions and then encouraged me to wear the helmet for a while walking around the store just to make sure it felt good. They even installed my Bluetooth setup. This will definitely be my go-to for motorcycle needs.

The person working was very personable and helpful. They had what I needed which Im thankful for. Needed rok straps for my luggage as the ones that came with the luggage were not very good. Only about 4500 miles on them and already falling apart

It is a great place.Why not a 5-star review?The problem I always encounter in these stores is that the majority of gear and clothing is targeting a group of folks who want everything for cheap. I want quality and am willing to pay for it. So, I can order online and have it delivered there just to see the item then for the first time.Its not what I want. But, I get it... folks want cheap and fancy looking products. And since the mass is spending more than me as a single high quality oriented buyer, I am not the main business.

They were very helpful and they do offer military discounts! Even with the discount the prices are still great! But remember the higher the price the better the quality, none of the stuff is overpriced. They have good quality products.

I’ve shopped here for years. My wife and I bought a Bluetooth helmet unit. Staff member helping us had excellent knowledge of the different brands of the units available and the helmet brand we had. Another example of why we will continue to shop at Cycle Gear.

Great staff! The exchange policy is awesome! Bought a pair of Sedici riding gloves in April and two fingers split. Called Cycle Gear and they said sure bring them in and we can exchange for a new pair! Definitely getting more gear from them.

Tuesday June 9th (so you can figure out who closed that day) I arrived at the shop 10 minutes before closing. Traffic through the tunnel and i64 sucked and took forever. So I had barely any time to shop. I apologized for the last second shopping to the guys working. They were great and patient though likely inwardly they just wanted to close. That beingSaid they were awesome and helpful and were able to find a new jacket with my needs in mind. I bought the Raex Apex Pro with their recommendation and couldn’t be happier. I’ll be back again as it’s the best gear shop in Hampton roads area. Thank you!

Went in to get my son a new helmet. He tried one on in the store and bought it. Wore it home and decided he didn’t like it. Took it back the same woman helped us had no issues exchanging helmets. I was pleasantly surprised with the customer service and will get my gear from here from now on.

Fantastic experience, they didnt have the helmet I was looking for on location so they started calling all the stores over the country to get it for me. The woman helping me did an amazing job i just wish I remembered her name so I could give her the proper praise.

Service was horrible by not getting greeted or attended. After 10 mins found the product I placed on hold at the cashier desk. The shoei Neotec 2 did not have a helmet bag or the original box. Brought my old helmet to get my communication device switched over and was told they could not do it. I love going to cycle gear for the expertise and this time it was just not here

Cycle gear, Norfolk , VA.- A girl that worked the counter acts like a know it all and gives out the wrong information. I asked a few questions and she was so arrogant and also wrong. Smh. I didnt debate, I just said ok knowing she was so far off. She actually she the pitch of a sprocket doesnt matter. Wow. Thats a need to know when buying a chain or sprocket. Along with year, make, and model. Which she also said didnt make a difference. So buyer beware of the info your get from the sales person.

Cycle Gear has by far been the best hands down when its come to my sons beginning venture in AMA Moto, and now going into FMX hanging with dad. At 9 All of our gear has been through our Local store. Since his start in 2018, and my self comeback. Happy to say will be riding and learning with my son from Collin Scummy Morisons FMX and cycle gear team rider this year. And M/M brother. Best place to get tires and other parts. They have a tread life warranty if you pop your tire they refund you the remaining tread. Also if they dont have the part there they will ship it to your house!!

These dudes are great, they will walk you around the store for hours and show you anything you want to see. I’m not the kind of person to leave reviews, but after my first visit here, I will not ever be returning. First of all, the store was absolutely a mess. It looked like a category 5 hurricane went through there. Gear on the floor, trash on the floor, and there was no organization at all.Secondly, the staff were not knowledgeable on any products and trying to get information on a product was basically useless. I pull the products up on my phone and used the internet to get information about it.I left the store without a single purchase.

Absolutely awesome, you just cant beat the levelcustomer service. I think Ive been here about 50+ times now and Ive never been disappointed. As a first time rider these guys took their time to make sure I understood the differences in gear and helped fit me for the right gear for my new hobby/obsession, saving me a ton of money. Every piece of gear theyve recommended, Ive been happy with. Wish I could give them individual shutouts.

I went into this store for a new helmet about a week ago. The staff was amazing in helping me pick a size, pick a helmet that was within my budget, and to answer any questions I had. Most important, the staff member I was dealing with was most interested in getting me the safest helmet I could afford. I wish I got his name to give him a shout out. Next time I am there I will for sure get his name and tell management was a great job he is doing. Plus there is a 20 percent military discount which is awesome.

Always a great place to shop for gear. The best selection in this area in my opinion, good prices friendly and helpful staff. They offer military discount and if they dont have what you need in store they can order from the catalog.

The guys there are super helpful. Especially Ryan. I knew very little of anything about the gear I needed, I went when it wasnt super busy and he took literally hours helping me. And the gear I got has been great and I got great prices on most of it. They make sure that everything they can apply a military discount to, they do. Awesome folks.

I went in today to purchase a good quality helmet. As soon as I walked in the door I was met by Tim. I told him what I was looking for and he immediately gave me several options in the price range I was looking for. He also showed me an option in a slightly more expensive helmet. He didnt try to upsell me just showed me a choice I might not have considered. The Shoei Helmet was a far superior helmet in my opinion, and that is what I opted for. Tim was very knowledgeable about all the helmets as well as the rest of the stores inventory. I was able to get exactly what I wanted even though I hadnt known exactly what I wanted. When I mentioned that I would love to wear it home, but I needed to swap out my Sena 10 from my old helmet he volunteered to do it. Not only did he do a great job he did it really fast. Hes like a Sena ninja!! Tim and the entire staff had a great attitude. They were very positive and welcoming. I dont leave a lot of reviews, but when I receive such exceptional customer service I believe it should be applauded. Thank you, Tim I love the new helmet!

He was eminently knowledgeable, and not in the least bit pushy, he actually steered me away from expensive but superfluous gear, focusing on the critical pieces, and ordering my size when they didnt have it.
