I had the pleasure of going to this place last night with my son, for the first time ever, and it was an amazing experience! The rolled ice cream and all the toppings you want were superb. But what really sets this place apart from not only any other ice cream shop, but really any service industry were the owners (sorry I forgot your names). They truly made it an individual experience for each guest. They love what they do. They love their shop and everything that they serve. The owners went above and beyond to make us feel at home. I would definitely go to Urban Ice again and again and again! Thank you for you hospitality!

My first experience here was amazing! The staffs were very friendly and welcoming. I didn’t know what to get in the beginning and they introduced me to my favorite type of ice cream—the fruity ones. I got strawberry and mango with pineapple in it I believe. They used real mango fruits and I could taste it in every bites of sweetness I took. There’s bunch of flavors and ice cream. Highly recommend it if you are looking for something sweet and different.

The perfect spot for your late night sweet tooth! Within walking distance for most late night venues. The rolled ice cream sand milkshakes are either plant-based or milk based. Desert crepes are incredible. Welcoming atmosphere with friendly ownership. The menu is simple yet full of choices for wonderful flavor combinations. Very highly recommended!

It was my first visit to UrbanIce. They have every flavor in vegan options. Mona went above and beyond in taking her time recommending flavors and options. Tatiana prepared my ice cream and did an amazing job. We had a nice conversation while she was preparing it as well! I definitely found my new favorite ice cream shop and I will definitely be back again!

COOLEST thing Ive ever seen done to IceCream and the outcome was amazing and delicious.

I hate to be the one that comes on here to give a business a bad rating but I felt compelled after tonight. So the last couple of times that Ive come into the store to buy ice cream customer service has been less than great. I ordered ahead online for ice cream for my wife and I and came into the store to pick up my order, and there was no one to be found. I waited for about 10 mins before an employee emerged from the back (only because the phone had rang). There was also another customer behind me. The employee talked on the phone about how they had all the time in the world to work on homework instead of actually doing what she was supposed to do. After the employee finished their discussion on the phone, they then asked what they could do for me. I informed them that there was a pick-up order in my name. She got it and brought it back to me. Unfortunately, when I got home, the crepe portion of my order was MIA. After this and a previous incident where my order was completely ignored and had to wait 30 mins to get it, I decided to just stay home and write this review instead. I just moved here to the Norfolk area and was looking for a go to ice cream shop for my family and I, but that search continues. So, the two star rating I gave is: ONE star for creativity, and another for the overall taste of the ice cream, customer service needs some help.

Lovely! My mom and I came here late after work, near closing time. Despite this, the staff was still very accomodating and friendly! Chill atmosphere, and the rolled ice cream was super good. Will definitely return on my end shifts for the coming summer.

This place is great!!! The workers are extremely nice,display excellent customer service and, give great recommendations! Although I did takeout, the atmosphere is great and seems like a nice place to hangout with friends or family. I got a French toast crepe with strawberries and condensed milk. It was so good and I really enjoyed it. I would just be wary though about how much you put on your crepe and just the prices overall here. Things can add up quickly!

The staff is super friendly! But be aware, they offer the crepe and don’t really tell you how much more you gotta pay for it, my brother in law ended up paying like $27 bucks for two ice creams with crepes, mine on the other hand was only $8 dollars with a cone which was fair for the size of ice cream you get and the unlimited toppings! The ferrero one was delicious! The strawberry shortcake one, tastes more like strawberry than anything else, giving them 5 stars for the excellent service and attitude they have!

Urban Ice in Norfolk has a super friendly and welcoming vibe. As soon as we walked in, the owner, Mona greeted me and showed me how everything works. She took great care in making our rolled ice cream personally. The prices are great because all the toppings are unlimited!

Walked in at the last minute and they still took real good care of us. Robbie, Lauren, and Mary have excellent customer service and had us laughing the whole time we were there. Not to mention the endless possibilities and combinations for rolled ice cream. Flavor was great, customer service was top notch, 10/10 would do it again. Robbie is a magician.

Service was awesome the employees did a great job… the recipes however, not so much. The management or owners need to try a little harder on the crepes. I had the Peach Cobbler crepe and it was so subpar. The crepe wrap itself was perfect texture, but their recipe has cold peaches, honey and graham crackers as the filling. No cinnamon? Nutmeg? Not a single spice, just bland crepe. They need to adjust their recipes. My friend had a rolled ice cream bowl and she enjoyed hers. Maybe stick to the ice cream here.

My boyfriend and I came in 10 minutes before closing and the staff was very positive and happy to help us. We didnt feel rushed at all. They also gave our dog a cute puppy icecream without even asking.

So they are very polite and they let you know everything they have in the store they have almost every flower and you can customize rolled ice cream yourself and they make it right in front of you I definitely recommend coming here.

We came here on a whim during our Family Vacation and it was amazing. All of us enjoyed our ice cream, and I particularly loved my “ButterBeer” flavored one. The guy who made it, Shaun, was very charismatic and made our entire family laugh. You know it’s a good business when the employees all seem to enjoy their job. There was another gentleman and Woman working but I couldn’t catch there names. All in all 10/10, would recommend.

Mona was so sweet while I decided what flavors I wanted in my vegan ice cream. I love that they offer any flavor being vegan in the rolled ice cream! I got the vegan Taro rolled Ice cream and while Ayden was preparing it, he suggested I try a drizzle and I decided on rose! It came out delicious. This definitely made a great impression on me. This place is a once in a lifetime experience. Superb service, beautiful ambiance, wonderful ice cream. The rolled frozen treats are insane! One of the servers, Ravi, is a magician with sugary sweetness. He has a delicate and tempered style to his craft, he takes it very seriously. I would recommend one if you’re in a hurry and just want something delicious, or for the whole family! Don’t miss out! And try the Cinnamon Toast Crunch rolled ice if you’re feeling daring. It’s an elevated form of one of the greatest god tier cereals in the world.

Delicious ice cream and amazing customer service. I went with my best friend and our kids and Ravi was so kind to us. He interacted with the kids and made the whole experience fun and memorable. Whatever he’s getting paid isn’t enough! My best friend has a severe dairy allergy and the staff took it seriously. It was a nice rare treat that we got to enjoy ice cream together thanks to their many vegan options. Seriously don’t have a bad word to say about Urban Ice. Can’t wait to go back again!

Enjoyed the atmosphere and experience. Tried the vegan rolled ice cream and the bubble tea. I also tried the regular ice cream base. They were both good and creamy. The vegan coffee flavor was off. It left a acrid burnt after taste. The matcha and berry flavor was perfect. Disappointed by the bubble tea. The tapioca was soft, but tasted like it was just boiled in water. No flavor. The matcha bubble tea had no matcha in it. Tasted like green tea with green food color added to milk. Its not worth traveling too far, but if its in your neighborhood, go for the Thai ice cream experience. There are other places to go for bubble tea. Expensive disappointment.

Thoroughly enjoyed the online pick up service with urban ice using door dash. Although they didn’t have the red velvet cake they called to make sure what they could do to accommodate me. Ice cream is amazing here, I got the bad break up and my boyfriend got the gimme smore. Food was ready to be picked up within 10 minutes of putting in the order. Thank you urban ice for a smooth transaction and yummy desserts!

I really liked the ice cream!So our first time experience wasn’t that great. As I mention it was our first time in this shop and our first time trying rolled ice cream. I mention this to the person helping us, so he could guide as a little bit. How many toppings can we get etc. I just felt a little overwhelmed with the options. But he barely took the time to explain anything and try to rush our order. The “explaining” lasted 30seconds. I did search their website prior to our visit so I had an idea. Anw we ended up with a cone ice cream for my son and a cup for me, my husband was the only person to get the rolled ice cream. The scoop size was very small.I liked the ice cream flavor so much I told my husband let’s give them another chance. Am glad I did, second time around the person assisting us was amazing. He was smiling the whole time, his vibes were welcoming, and the size of the scoop was definitely bigger compared to last time. My only regret is that i can’t remember his name to thank him for his service!Update : we returned again this past Weekend and it just so it happened the same person assisted us again and got his name. Shout out to ROBYN or Robin(I hope am spelling this correctly)

First time here as a great trip around Norfolk via Ferry and The Tide . Jerome gave the kids samples of strawberry crepes, which they really enjoyed. This was my second time here and I got rolled ice cream. Robbie deserves a massive bonus for his 5 star customer service two times in a row and having an absolutely amazing and positive energy. This place is incredible. We went to get some ice cream, and our 8-year old was mesmerized by the process of the staff making the ice cream right in front of his eyes. It was awesome to make our own flavor up, and the gentleman who helped us with the ice cream was incredibly kind and friendly and even put a little hidden message inside of the ice cream before he rolled it up. It was a memorable experience, and we will definitely be back! Couldnt be better!
