Very professional and knowledgeable as far as firearms and jewelry are concerned. I walked in a few months ago wanting to buy a rifle but needed guidance as it was my first. I had basic knowledge. The man that helped me was very informative and helped me choose a rifle that was right for me. I walked in a bit out of my league but they were very patient and attentive to my questions despite having a full floor of other customers. My family and I attended our conceal carry class and received our certifications with Jamaal as our instructor.Jamaal went over the instructional material in a way that was easy to understand, and he emphasized all of the key legal points like the deadly force triangle. He showed us a video of an encounter he had with a police officer while carrying and how one should act in such a situation, which made the class all the more personal. He provided us with the knowledge to make sound moral and legal decisions, and he finished the session off with some training time. He ensures his students know how to use their firearm before signing off on their certificate, and this helps everyone have peace of mind. He gave us tips to handle our firearms better and shoot more accurately.I recommend Jamaal to anyone looking to get their CHP training certification. People are nice and inviting. gun range is a bit rough around the edges. Theres no sound proofing in the range so 9mm sounds like a cannon in there. Just one wall with sound deadening material would help a lot.

I like the range, it’s nothing fancy but it’s somewhere close to my house where I can go to shoot a couple rounds down range. They were the cheapest in town as well, I spent $120.00 Military price for an annual fee. I can go and shoot for as long as I when they are open. The staff is also very nice to me every time I go.

I wanted to try my new pistol i bought for concealed carry. Superior Pawn was the closest to where I was staying since Im from out of town. Naturally one cant make a trip to the range without forgetting something so I met with Maria and she showed me the great selection of accessories they have. This place is friendly, clean and they have a great selection. This is my go-to place to shoot when I travel from out of town.

Walked up to the door and there was a guns save lives sign in the window, already a bad idea for me. Walked in and the man immediately declined a working hand drill without looking at it. Had a mint condition comic and also got declined. We needed any money we could get and got turned away at the door.And you give a reason why after we leave and submit a 1 star review.. 😂

Wanting to shop local to support those local businesses that do a good job, I went in early on a Sunday looking for a 1911 .45. They had a great selection of new and used, and at reasonable price points.Jamal assisted me for quite a while and was very helpful. I told him I had to think about the options and went home to do some research on what they had in stock.Returned at around 4:30 and made a purchase for the one that I really wanted. Jamal is a very knowledgeable team member and made this a very smooth experience. I will definitely be working with the Superior Pawn LC team again.

The range is great for the size, sometimes there is a wait but honestly its never that bad and the staff is extremely friendly. I have gotten great deals on firearms and ammo and the staff has gone out of the way to do everything possible for me. Knowledgeable and honest is all you can ask for with firearms and its what you can 100 expect. The small size makes gives it a small town family feel in the big city.

Honestly one of my favorite places not only the little creek location the va beach Blvd and lynhaven locations are just as friendly and knowledgeable haven’t purchased a firearm from them only because they didn’t have what I wanted at the time but they did set me in the right direction to get what I wanted and actually had what I wanted as a rental for the range which was also a great experience really clean and safe over all the experience is a 10/10 every time I go there they do get pretty busy so if your impatient or think your more important than everybody else you might want to steer clear because they do take they’re time with they’re customers as they should thank you guys keep up the good work!!!!

I just called to see how busy the range was and the kids who answered the phone didnt say anything at first and then was like hello? I said hello and then hes like superior pawn. I said is the range busy? Hes like all day long its Saturday. I said what kind of wait time hes says 30 min. All the while acting like Im bothering him. I said thank you and he just hung up on me. Dont think Ill be taking my money here to spend.

One of the best gun shops around. So easy to work with and I always get a good laugh while I’m there. Getting to use the range while my suppressors are awaiting approval is a bonus!

I called before I came to save myself a drive just in case they didn’t have what I was looking for. I asked if they they had storage cases for Dracos and the guy said yes so I made my way. When I arrived NONE of the employees acknowledged me/greeted me etc for 10mins. I finally approached one of the employees and asked for the storage cases for dracos and she said they don’t have storage cases for dracos. What a fvckin waste of time and gas. I do don’t recommend this place. They are not very knowledgeable of their inventory.

This was my first time going to SP&G. Im a new firearm owner and need to learn how to use it. I asked general questions and received good information. The gentleman at the desk for the range ( sorry, forgot his name) was very patient with me, showed me how to load the clip, correct way to hold the firearm, and everything I needed to stay safe. I have bought several guns from this Superior Pawn location. The staff are excellent, knowledgable, and down to earth. What a great team there! I often use the layaway plan as I cannot afford to go and fork out $600 - $1,500 on a firearm at once. Small friendly shop and atmosphere. Just wish they had more accessories...

Ive been coming in usually once or twice a month for a little over a year now usually to get something small, look around, or use the range. Its an awesome store and range. Everyone in here is super cool and helpful. Bought a couple things from them now and everything was great. Definitely will be buying more from them in the future.

My go to range! Friendly and knowledgeable staff for both the shop and range. They have decent prices and are honest with you. The range is small and doesnt allow rifles except with frangible ammo, but they do allow fully auto if you are responsible. If you get a membership it is good for all the superior pawn locations, so it is a good deal!

My review is 5 stars only because Wade was phenomenal to work with. He is very educated and easy to talk to/ask questions. However, my experience with Mike Billingsley was awful. He was completely unprofessional and inappropriate. I had just purchased a Sig from Wade & while I was leaving Mike wanted to be a “funny guy” and make a comment about me being there with my boyfriend while I am at the end stages of my separation with a husband who physically abused me. When Mike was confronted he immediately back pedaled and claimed he didn’t know what was disrespectful about his comment. If it weren’t for Wade, Superior would’ve lost any future business from me. So, 5 stars for Wade & Superior. 0 stars for Mike. I would do less than that, but negative stars wasn’t an option.

Great customer service in my first visits, but that went down the drain one guy that i cannot recall name, but he has a shaven head and beard, very sarcastic, feels like hes talking down on you and wasting his time. One of the ladies in the gun counter asked me if i needed help while i was looking a box of lower reciever parts, i asked if a certain part was included, she brushed me off and said I dont know, open the box and look then back to chat with police officer. Out of the 3 Superior Pawn & Gun this is the least likeable, funny enough i bought a gun here already, not like I just browse and never buy...

I deal with Superior quite often and can tell you with confidence, that they are one my favorite businesses to visit! I always leave feeling that I got a fair deal, either purchasing, or trading. The customer service is always friendly and knowledgeable. This is a top notch neighborhood business that I will continue to support.

Staff is friendly and very relaxed. The indoor range is great. Nothing super special but it gets the job done, great distances and prices. Very reasonable. Eyes and ears are free. Ammo is priced as you would expect from a place with a range. I will definitely be going there again.

Very comfortable environment with very helpful staff. They sell and pawn gold, diamonds, jewelry of all sort and guns from pistols to shotguns. Also have a shooting range in the back. Pretty cool place.

Awesome store to purchase from if you are Law Enforcement or Military. I got a Glock 45 for $480 which is much less expensive than other stores with the discount that I got. Their best employee by far is Wade, he’s the thin white guy that is a prior Marine and he really knows his stuff. Most of the other guys are super nice too but if you want to know something about a firearm or want an educated opinion about other options he is the guy to talk to. As far as everyone else that are saying that the people are racist I have no clue where that is coming from. And if you aren’t being attended to right away I would suggest looking around at the employees and seeing if they are dealing with another customer, I always have and as soon as they were done they get right to me and give me their full attention.

Every time I call to make a payment these people are extremely rude. They never have patience with me on the phone and they always say sarcastic witty remarks. I am a palled an institution that is supposed to show good customer service has very poor etiquette! When I pick up my items I will never be using their services again!

I never cared for pawn shops but this place of business has proven they are not the stereotypical pawn shop. My friend has dealt with these people for several years now and is a regular firearms customer there. He encouraged me to try them so I finally did. I have made several purchases and used the range as well. My experience is very positive. I have always had knowledgable people waiting on me and they are fair with their dealings and the pricing of firearms and merchandise.

Amanda is great. I thought I was going to lose my necklace. I called and explained my hardship and she extended me out another week. IDK what I wouldve done if I lost my moms necklace. Its sentimental value is worth far more than what it cost. Thanks again Superior Pawn.😎

I have been in and out of this shop at least 100 times. Never had a bad day in the store. Ive bought/sold/traded firearms here on several occasions. Been shooting dozens of times and the membership has already payed off. The only thing is I cant find range ammo for 7.62x39. But that isnt there fault.

I assure you there are plenty other better options to buy guns and ammunition. Its like they assume everyone knows everything about guns. Then when you dont you get treated quite rudely. The employees here were very impatient and seen unwilling to help and actually make a sale. Ended up asking a question then having to leave immediately because the atmosphere was just not welcoming at all. If youre military try going to the MCX camp Allen if not maybe Bobs gun shop or defense tactics and Virginia.

Overall pretty good place. Most products are at MSRP and used items are even better deals. Usually well stocked, recent panic buying has really messed up the market but as things are winding down, things are getting better. Stop in and give them a look.

Very rude & impatientent with not only me but other customers as well. Bought a Glock 19 there about a week ago the guy who helped me was really nice and professional showed me a bunch a great options talked to me and showed me the different functions of each firearm truly a great place we’ll buy more stuff there

First impression when I went to buy a glock 42 about a year ago. Wanted $550 when all other competitors were selling it for 399 and didnt offer to price match, I walked out. Just the other day went to go use the range for the first time, its closed for maintenance and staff didnt even want to talk to me until I asked for a third time. Not friendly at all now I remember why I dont mess with this place, rather make the trip to VA Beach location.

I almost forgot how bad racism was in america until I came here and Im from Europe and this is so sad to say but , If you want better friendly customer service go to Bobs gun shop they would treat you way better I promise you. Love this place now lets start with me coming from California. I went in looking for my first buy and the guys there were awsome. I am kinda on the newer side of handling firearms but that didnt make them nervous or impatient. I asked to see a few different pistols and without hesitation pulled them out checked them handed them over talked a few specs about each one and didnt try to force me to buy a gun I didnt want. They were glad to answer the thousand questions I had without getting annoyed. I did buy a gun and they submitted my background check and it was still pending right as they closed so first thing in the morning I am gonna go get it and already Im well ahead of getting a gun in cali. After checking out other gun dealers in the area I decided to see what superior had in stock and found two heckler and kock vp 9mm and 40 cal which i will see if they are still in stock when tax money is released so if its meant to be I will get the 9mm which is priced about $150 more then suggested retail price from heckler and kock but you cant put a price on a well made gun that will out preform glock,sig,sccy, s&w,Springfield, Taurus and many other decent gun manufacturing companies but thats just my opinion of course. The staff was a little uneducated in some gun laws in Virginia and when confronted with the lack of knowledge the staff tried to get a former NPD co-worker to cosign an inaccurate statement that you can carry a threaded barrel in va with out a CHP.18.2-287.4. Carrying loaded firearms in public areas prohibited; penalty.It shall be unlawful for any person to carry a loaded (a) semi-automatic center-fire rifle or pistol that expels single or multiple projectiles by action of an explosion of a combustible material and is equipped at the time of the offense with a magazine that will hold more than 20 rounds of ammunition or designed by the manufacturer to accommodate a silencer or equipped with a folding stock or (b) shotgun with a magazine that will hold more than seven rounds of the longest ammunition for which it is chambered on or about his person on any public street, road, alley, sidewalk, public right-of-way, or in any public park or any other place of whatever nature that is open to the public in the Cities of Alexandria, Chesapeake, Fairfax, Falls Church, Newport News, Norfolk, Richmond, or Virginia Beach or in the Counties of Arlington, Fairfax, Henrico, Loudoun, or Prince William.The provisions of this section shall not apply to law-enforcement officers, licensed security guards, military personnel in the performance of their lawful duties, or any person having a valid concealed handgun permit or to any person actually engaged in lawful hunting or lawful recreational shooting activities at an established shooting range or shooting contest. This is a good place to shoot, fair prices, friendly folks and a superior deal on membership.

Great store, they encourage and educate folks on 2nd amendnent and how it applies in VA, staff is friendly.

Don’t go to them for gun smithing. They put some sights on my gun and it has dings all over it. Looks like a drunk guy went at it.

Priced out my pistol there and figured out FFL fees and shipping charges. Overall, cheaper to buy the pistol at the store and save on the range fee for 1 year. $200 range membership down to $85 with purchase. Check out was less then 15 min. Range was not hot temperature wise as I thought it would be on a 90 degree day.

They dont give out prices over the phone...... This is the 21st century Im not driving a half hour to find out a price.
