Such a fantastic time coming to this Fabric hut! Move over Joanns fabric this is in town and it’s amazing and the prices can’t be beat. Had the best time picking out fabric for my daughters Halloween costume that my neighbor is so kind as to make.Store is very clean and tidy, organized well to find what you need very quickly. Such a great assortment of fabrics, I could spend hours here just looking at all the fabrics.They just got in mardigras fabric which is pictured and also a whole bunch of new cat fabrics.I really enjoyed my conversation with Jess, she was very motivational. I’m an not an expert seamstress but she really helped me to realize I can do much more than what I think. I have been intimidated by some of the harder patterns.Niecy was very nice and helpful. She was happy to help us get fabric in obscure areas. She measured everything out well too and even showed me the new mardigras fabric and held it up while I took a pic! Great staff here.They have a whole another section called bridal with amazing beautiful fabric. Just gorgeous!!My favorite fabric was the orcas and Disney lady and tramp fabric which is in the photos. Designer fabrics and regular is here. We needed help with getting fabric that was high up and staff was very helpful. Plethora of knowledge too loved the experience! Highly recommend!

Needed some basic thread, needles & a new thimble. Found everything I was looking for and the cashier was such a sweetheart. I see they offer sewing classes, Im going to be checking this out soon. Hopefully, I can upgrade me skills. Ill definitely return.

I normally Rate this place higher. They no longer sell patterns!!!!!!! How am I supposed to sew accurate sized and fitted correctly with pattern? Makes zero sense! One star for staff I know is nice, and one star for selection, but you have recently made a bad business decision. At least offer instore pickup or shipping for patterns please!!

As soon as you walk in, it looks like you stepped into a fabric oasis. Though I was looking for a specific type of fabric, I took my time and walked down each and every aisle taking in everything. I didnt catch the name of the gentleman that assisted me but he was the MVP in my book. Everything I inquired about he had the answer and location. I ended up leaving with triple more than what I came there for. I cant wait to start my projects and will be returning every chance I get. The prices are comparable to other places AND they do military discounts, which of course is a HUGE thumbs up in my book.

I like to support the little guys when I can. But the service just wasnt there. No one spoke to me, asked me for assistance, and barely made eye contact. I didnt need help, but conversation when youre the only customer in the store didnt seem like too much. I could have gotten ignored and cheaper prices across the street

A super kind young woman helped me with some material to cover a cabinet.She also showed me some fabulous sample books I can use in my classroom.I have never been in the store till today, but I will differently visit again. Thanks for the help!

Friendly staff, clean store. I went here for yarn though and they have a very limited selection which is super overpriced. Looks like they have a vast array of every type of fabric you could imagine though

OMG! This was the first time I have been, but will DEFINITELY be going back. They have any and everything you need in the way of fabric. They have WAY more to chose from then Joannes, and your helping a small business.

Great place: quality fabrics, special fabrics for special occasions, costumes, bathing suits, etc AND great service.

HUGE selection of fabrics, very reasonable prices, and friendly people. They have a separate bridal and upholstery area. It really puts Joanns to shame! The other plus is that it is a locally owned business.

Purchased 5 yards of fabric online, and when I received my order there was only 1 yard of black fabric with flames. Tried to call before they closed, but no one answered the phone.Hopefully there was just a mix-up in the labeling and someone else has my fabric and returns it.

New lady been there a week very sweet, professional and patient!

So, I took my son out here so he could get some fabric to make stuffed animals. Walked in the store and wandered around, could not get an employee to help us. Everytime I made eye contact they just went the other way. Finally just stood and waited around. I had to get the attention of a male employee. I showed him a little stuffed animal my son had brought as an example, asked if they had anything like the fabric it was made of. He just vaguely pointed toward the back of the store and Its probably back there. I asked what then, and he said Oh get one of us and we will cut it. They didnt have all the supplies we needed to make the project anyway, and finding an employee was pretty impossible. Just decided to leave and buy online where they would have all of what we need. He had been helping an elderly woman, pulling out all the stops with fabric samples, color matching, etc. We just got a finger point and vague directions.This place is not friendly to younger people, So yeah. Go to a larger place like Joannes if you actually want service or shop online.

A ton of quilting cotton fabrics in just about anything you can think of! Star wars, jelly beans, coffee fabric in a variety of styles.Helpful employees. It is pricey, but if you are looking for something specific, itsthe place to go.

The staff is so nice and knowledgeable. This fabric store has the best selection in Hampton Roads. I can always find specialty fabrics for all occasions here. They have a special area of the store for bridal and special occasions. They carry apparel and upholstery fabrics and trims. Definitely worth checking out.

This place is incredible, if you cant find fabric in here, you need to quit sewing. No, seriously, I love this place. There is so much fabric to look at, I need to pack a lunch and spend the day there. For me it is the only place to buy fabric. 100% thumbs up.

This is a sewers, quiltors, crafters haven. They have several grades of fabric and you will find something you can use. Hardest part is deciding on pattern/print and colors you need. Oh heck, just get them all

Prices are good as well as customer service if you ever want to get your furnature upholstered.

I was astonished by the volume of merchandise here. Regular prices are 30% less than same fabric in Richmond. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. I also stumbled on a sale and just got some great prices. Did not take any classes.

Awesome store, great inventory, check out the bridal section for special event projects. Staff can be hit and miss. It totally feels like a local joint and has really different stuff from Joanns. The notions are very overpriced and picked over though.

Amazing selection of fabrics, sewing machines, accessories, classes and a very helpful staff. This last time we went, we stood in line outside, in the rain. Due to Covid, only so many are allowed in at a time. They had several employees working to cut fabric and check customers out. The line moved very fast and no one seemed to mind that it was raining🤣. We were all thankful that fabric hut was open.

Its more of a fabric building than a fabric hut, but they still had everything I needed.

I gave five stars only because of the excellent service from Mr Wayne! I had 30 minutes before they closed and yet he assisted me with so much patience as if it were 12 oclock in the afternoon! Ask for Mr Wayne! He was extremely knowledgeable and offered meaningful suggestions in my fabric selection for my wedding dress.

Angela help me with a few things that I was looking for in kind of a hurry and she was great. Im traveling from out of the area and I always like to explore independent fabric stores. Independent meaning names that I dont recognize. This wasnt an amazing store it had great prices it had great service and I wish I could transplant it to wherever I end up relocating.

Ive popped in there a few times to grab fabrics I needed for projects and I will not be returning, im never asked if I need help or if I need fabrics cut for me Ive always had to find someone and then they make me feel like im inconveniencing them. Ive never seen anyone working there help any customers and the prices are outrageous, I paid $9 for a yard of fabric today and I liked the pattern so I looked it up online to see if anyone else sells it and its less than $6 a yard everywhere else. I highly encourage you to shop elsewhere.

You can come here for anything from string and sewing needles Fabrics of all colors. You can even take a sewing class here! I recommend this for everyone who wants to do something creative with their hands

The only store for high end fabrics in Hampton Roads. Lots to choose from in the bridal shop. Lots of quilting fabrics. Some upholstery fabrics. Much more. This store has been around a long time. I dont know about now but it was privately owned and had a better selection. Also sells sewing machines. Its a block or two past the intersection of Tidewater Drive and Little Creek Road. Easy parking at the door and stoplight at the exit.

I just received my material as promised. I love it cant wait to start making things. I will start with making necessary mask for family members. I will return to Fabric Hut to purchase more materials.#FabricHut!!

I was so excited to find a great fabric store close by. There arent many craft places around here so having one with so much cool stuff is really great.

Like a kid in a candy store I gleefully spent my entire budget in less than 10 mins and then continued shopping until I was slightly embarrassed by my total. Staff are incredible, helpful and fun even during these insane times. The fabric is nice but the employees really take this place to another level. Do Not miss the back room, beautiful specialty fabrics and lace, reminds me of Downtown LA. I was so inspired buy the wide selection. The novelty cottons are also a bright spot as well as soo many decorative fabrics. Miles and miles above anything else in the area and prices are shockingly good! I had a ball and cannot wait to go back. Take a mask when you go and expect to wait outside for a few minutes but it really isnt a long wait and so worth it.

I have always loved Fabric Hut, Ive been going there for many years to buy material for my barbie and doll clothes. Resonable prices, knowledgeable staff Dwayne and Angela are the best! a few are are bit nasty like the old lady and seem reluctant or happy to help me, they have a great selection of fabric that are hard to find. I hope they continue to stay open as fabric stores are hard to come by near my area and Fabric Hut has always been the best.

They have a sale on Wednesdays where you buy one 1yd and the other 1/2 off lucky for me I needed a variations Ankara fabric, I dont live close by and I happen to be there so I got a great deal on some fabrics. The staff was uber nice, helpfull and answered any questions I had. Heard they do sewing lessons, gotta find time to make out there again for a class.

I ordered online from their website and the shipment was insanely quick!! I ordered over the weekend and it arrived on a Thursday.One of the colors was slightly off from a Robert Kaufman Kona swatch, but it wasnt their fault at all, though I emailed them about it. (essentially the robert kaufman kona swatches are screen printed and the actual yardage is dyed- that is on the manufacterer) I got an email back within the hour!I wish I would have started my quilt project with them from the get go, since they are quick to respond and crazy knowledgable.Ill be ordering from them again for my next project in a heartbeat.

I showed up about 30 minutes to close and spent some time browsing before I found what I was looking for. They have an excellent selection of fabrics, in case you were wondering. The sales associate was able to cut the appropriate amount of fabric (on one of those large rolls at the bottom of the rack) quickly and had my sale processed correctly, even though the fabric section was missing the tag. I look forward to going back, and maybe buying a new sewing machine.

UPS left a n note on my door that they tried to deliver a package found it when I got home from work on Christmas Eve it was 3:30 p.m. fabric Hut was my delivery location they closed early at 4 according to the website I got there at 3:50 so I can get my Christmas present and they were long closed not a car @ the place locked up- so they closed even Way earlier than they were supposed to be. Very unhappy with this business for that reason.

They have a sale right now and it is the worst. I walked in to just pick up some thread and a half yard of neoprene. I spent $50!!!! Why!? Because I walked out with a miniature glue gun, flannel remnants, TWO yards of the neoprene because I found a really cute grid print, AND I bought a ridiculous bright cute pattern fabric that I have no idea what to deal with but how could I leave without it???? Quilting isnt my thing, but if it were, this store would be my paradise. Lots of cool stuff. Lost track of time looking at every single fruit and vegetables print fabric. Contemplated buying corn fabric... If you have self control this place is great.

I absolutely love the fat fifths. I have placed several orders from you. The fabric is exactly as described. However, what i do not like is that every order i have placed is shipped from China. It takes more than two weeks from ordering to delivery. One order took even longer. I was under the impression you were in the United States and did not realize you had a warehouse in China. I understand some things may have to be shipped from another area, but every single item i order??? I usually purchase the fat fifths when you have them on a daily special. It would seem to me if you are going to offer a special, it would be in stock in the US.Edit: i apologize. I typed in the fabric hut in my search on here, and your site came up. I should have known better because i made that mistake before! :). My apologies.

I love this place. Its like a second home. I love the staff, they are super helpful and creative. They offer sewing classes and repair. They have fabric that I cant find any where. And their remnant bin deals are to die for. I go at least once a week.

My absolute favorite fabric store! Love the variety of cotton prints, love the fur and absolutely love the bridal section. Owning a business on line, a store that carries a large selection of cotton and other fabrics is a must and be able to come back and find the same fabric over and over is also a must. Staff is very helpful if you just ask. No long lines. Wish they had coupons thou but overall....my FAV!

What an absolute fantastic place for the widest selection of fabric I have ever seen. Many of the fabrics were on discounted prices which made it very easy to load up. They offer classes and have repair services for every brand of sewing machine. Highly recommended!

I visited your store recently. The selections are terrific and I felt like I was in wonderland. I found the staff was a bit reluctant to assist and not very friendly. Customer service needs an attitude adjustment. I asked about the sales that I know occur on the weekend, but am having difficulty addressing that. I will return because of the inventory. Hopefully service has improved.

Love the fabrics here. Service is great. The only drawback I have is that they only cut in 1/4 yard increments. It would be so nice if they could also cut in third yard increments.
