This place could be better but the employees don’t seem to care ! They need better pay more likely cause I’m here at 11:10am on a Monday and there is no one here store is still closed. I came here two weeks ago and it was about 9:30pm and they were out of four of the cookies I wanted . I love this place but gotta do better.

Best cookies Ive ever had. They have a great variety and are absolutely delicious to have. I personally recommend their Oatmeal Raisin cookies.

Man fresh, gooey, yummy, goodness!! We had a variety of the deluxe and classic cookies which overall are amazing.

Overall this was a horrible experience. The staff didn’t really know/care much about the sandwiches. No lights were inside the store. It was almost like they didn’t want no one to come there. There was 4 employees and 2 kids were in the back. We sit at the high top table and it squeaked loudly the entire time. Lastly, we needed water after eating the delicious cookie sandwiches. 3 waters was $7.95, which is cool. So I gave her a 10 and she asked did I have anything smaller? So we both just stood there for about twenty seconds just looking at each other. I didn’t want to use my card at this place again for bottle water. The idea of this and ice cream sandwiches are great. I feel bad for the owner because his staff will have his doors closed soon if they don’t change things.

Definitely a place to go when you’re have that midnight sweet tooth ! Just place your order online to make it easier !

This place is amazing. My cookies stayed soft even till the next day. I always get them when they are warm. I drive all the way to Norfolk to get them. The only thing is you cant pay by cash,that should be posted. Money has always been been dirty I mean the same money is passed around on a daily basis since forever.

Amazing cookies. We don’t know about this specific location but we had to order the cookies due to a traffic back up. We ordered the cookies and had them delivered two days later. All delicious!!! Will definitely be ordering more in the future. FYI we got the chocolate chip, m&m and the double chocolate and all were amazing!

I brought these cookies and a pint of vanilla ice cream to our family get together and they were gone in minutes. Everybody wanted to know where I got them.

I’ve been in Va for almost a year now and I’ve had cookies here At least 3 times. Every time I get cookies here they are OVERBAKED! I Kept giving Insomnia chances after chances, hoping that maybe that was just a bad experience that day and it would be better the next time. Nope, Sadly mistaken. The workers are nonchalant and this is definitely not how Insomnia Cookies are supposed to be. I’ve had much better experiences from other locations.

Wish I could give 0 stars. Ordered at 7:45 pm for delivery only 1.5 miles away. Was told they would arrive in 30-45 min. Called at 8:45 pm to check on the order. Was told they were coming soon. Fast forward to 10:00 pm… I finally receive the cookies but delivery instructions were not followed. I wanted to meet them outside, but they entered my building and literally just threw them at my door. Opened the box and, lo and behold, cookies were missing. Will never order delivery from here again.

Where else can you go at 2AM and get cookies; let alone ones that are this good!

After a copious SAD (Standard American Diet) comprised of burgers, ribs and some pork BBQ, nothing tops the nutritional desaster than a warm cookie with ice cream ! :PWas there several times and the warm cookies with ice cream are a real treat ! Service is nice and their deserts are very good as well. I recommend it.

Store Manager Tessa has very poor customer service skills. She told me to wait outside with my service dog. She refused to drizzle caramel on our snickerdoodle cookies, which is a request that is routinely granted at every Insomnia Cookies that we visit. Then she served us cold, hard cookies. Extremely bad service and disappointing product.

Had the taste for something sweet and got my fix in a ice cream sandwich (i chose the mint chocolate chip) between two fresh chocolate chip cookies right out of the oven, really good combo, and the hot coolies melted the ice cream so messy became amazingly good to try to eat it all before the ice cream melted...cool spot...you will not want to share whatever you order lol

Yeah, I ordered from this place for the first time a few days ago. Seemed like a good idea and holy bleeping bleep these cookies were good. I ordered 6 deluxe cookies, triple chocolate, oatmeal, peanut butter, and ended up getting a couple bonus regular sized cookies as well. I would recommend this place to anyone, so good.

On this visit, I didnt go inside. There was a long line and they didnt seem to be practicing social distancing. I sent my daughter in for my order. I wasnt impressed with my ice cream nor my cookie. The taste doesnt support the price.

Great dessert location! Cookies and Ice Cream were delicious! Open until 3am and they deliver what more could you ask for?! Roughly 6 to 8 ice creams to chose from and same for cookies. Brownies available as well as milk. Located right in the heart of ODU so a huge Monarch presence!Only reason I didnt give them 5 stars is because it took longer to get our order. They got a slew of people after us and I wanted my brownie warmed up and they almost forgot about us until we came back up to the counter. Other than that it was a great place and the staff was very nice.

Meh. Wasnt bad wasnt phenomenal. Probably not worth the price, but the kids enjoyed them. The cookies were too floppy and a bit crumbly. Only reason it isnt a 2 star is the misses quite liked her gluten free one.

Incredibly unprofessional and horrible experience. The staff members working the night of 8/28 were awful. I ordered delivery, after it was 20 mins late I called and was put on “hold” although I could hear the staff members laughing and using obscene language in the background, then I was told the order would be delivered in 15-20 mins. Then I was called back 10 minutes later by another worker who was giggling on the phone when I answered, took 2 minutes to respond when I said hello, and couldn’t answer any of my questions. She eventually told me they couldn’t deliver it and hung up on me. I’ve never experienced such terrible customer service. They clearly have absolutely no customer care whatsoever and are just having a fun night at the expense of their profits. I highly discourage anyone from going to this location.

I’ve waited for over two hours for my order. I called the store about an hour into waiting, and after being on hold it sounded like someone picked up the phone then immediately hung up. I called the customer service number about a half hour after that, and the associate on the line said the store was waiting for a postmates driver to pick up and deliver my order. I didn’t order from postmates or any other third party, I ordered from the insomnia website itself, so this implies the store currently doesn’t have its own drivers anymore and has to outsource other company delivery drivers. The customer service associate called the store to double check and afterwards I got a text from Uber saying they were now going to deliver my order. I have no estimate as to when I’ll receive my order; I ordered at 9:15pm and the store closes at midnight which is less than an hour from now. I don’t know what this location is doing to make their employee count so painfully low but I won’t be ordering again. Hopefully this review helps someone decide to not order delivery from here, or to choose a different dessert place altogether.

Insomnia Xookies is good (especially when planning your food coma). Insomnia Cookies is a chain and knowing that I would imagine this location would have a consistently full menu. But that could also just be that I keep missing the confetti and red velvet cookies.

After our ramen dinner, I found a coupon on the Insomnia website, so our family decided to give them a shot. The staff is young and most of them hang out in the back on their phones, but the two that helped us were prompt, super friendly, and chill. ⭐⭐⭐ rating because even though the cookies were warm and tasted OKAY, they were over priced 💲💲 for what I was expecting. I do think it is a nice concept for college students at ODU; especially since a majority of them have no kitchens when living in the dorms, so this is a great alternative for those that want some baked goods, but unable to make them 🤗

Okay,I’m not even the one to write reviews. I have had way too many bad experiences with this particular Insomnia store. This is a warning:1. Your delivery will probably be wrong2. Call the store to check the times because sometimes they just decide to close early3. The delivery takes forever4. They will claim to throw-in a cookie for inconvenience, but they don’t5. When getting delivery, your cookies will be rock hard

I’d give this location zero stars if I could. I Ordered pickup for 7:45. Got there at 7:40 and order wasn’t ready until 8:24. I don’t suggest ordering pickup if you’re wanting it on time and if you do schedule it for 30 minutes before you actually want it. Also messed up half our order and the sugar cookies were under cooked

This place is a joke. The cookies are good if you can ever get the cookies you actually want. The menu consists of around 15-20 different types of cookies, and every time we’ve gone, they only have 1 to 3 types available and the rest “will have to be put in the oven”. The first time we went the wait for a regular confetti cookie was 20 minutes. Tonight it was 40-50 minutes. The cookies are not hand crafted by God, so I will not wait for 50 minutes and neither would anyone else who was there at the same time because they all (10 or so people) walked out as well. I tried to call beforehand to let them know what cookies I wanted so they could have them available, yet nobody answers the phone. But when you get there, there’s anywhere from 3-6 people sitting on their phones in the back doing absolutely nothing. I have had friends from other areas rave about these cookies, but this location has ruined my relationship with Insomnia Cookie. Lazy, lazy staff.

I went there at around 10pm after hearing many great things about the place and when I arrived the staff were extremely rude. They had about 5-7 people on staff and all of them were sitting at a table on there phone but the one at the counter.Also they only had 4 cookies available when they advertise alot more. On top of that the cookies were cold when we tried them in the car. Im just very disappointed with the experience and feel like it wouldve been better if the staff were doing there job.

We ordered two cookie wiches for delivery, which are supposed to be two cookies with ice cream to put between them like a sandwich, but we just got the cookies and no ice cream. We proceeded to call customer service, and they assured us that they would send a delivery driver back with some ice cream, but no one ever came. It was a super long wait to get the plain cookies in the first place (40 minutes or so) considering we live 5 minutes down the road. A long wait and hassle for some mediocre cookies and a broken promise :(

The cookies are absolutely delicious! However, the customer service is horrible. Called and was on hold for about 10 minutes. No Your call is important to us. Please hold and someone will be with you shortly None of that! The customer service should equal the product.

They seem a little disorganized a few hours towards closing time. My friend and I came by at 11pm on a Friday and there was a line to the door that moved very slowly. We came for the salted caramel cookies and they were all out. We settled for the white chocolate macadamia cookies.. they were cold, hard, and didnt taste fresh. The service wasnt impressive either. Maybe Ill try going earlier in the evening next time.

Insomnia cookies are some of the best cookies you’ll ever taste. The reason for the single star is because the staff were not wearing masks or gloves while making the cookies. If people are required to wear masks into food service establishments then the staff preparing the food should be wearing masks. They certainly shouldn’t be so caviler with the safety of the people they are serving. Very poor management to let the staff get away with that.

It was a nice fall Saturday. I went to eat ramen at Osaka Ramen and sushi with my son, then I stopped by to get some cookies. I am not from the area. The short girl at the cashier didnt want to be there clearly. She couldnt say that they didnt accept cash. She was pointing the paper they typed up saying they didnt accept the cash on the last sentence. That was the worst service I ever gotten anywhere. She didnt greet the customers, she didnt say thank you. The girl next to her told me that I canceled my credit card transaction. If a cashier was sick so she couldnt speak, they shouldnt put her at the cash register.

I purchased the 12 for $12 deal!! So worth every $ spent! They were warm, fresh and delicious! If youre a cookie LOVER this place is a MUST HAVE! Theyre only doing online orders atm due to some technical difficulties however you can still pick up your goodies in the store.

Cookies are okay, but Ive never had good service. The people working seem like they hate their jobs and they give attitude for no reason. I worked in food/retail so I always try to be super nice to people in the food industry because I get it but I hate going here and I wont be going anymore.

I ordered the new vegan cookies and not only did it take an hour and a half to get to me but they were so burnt and solid as a rock. Literally inedible, and very disappointing.

Ive been in love with insomnia cookies since my all-nighter study sessions in college back in MI, so I was super excited to find out theres one here! You just cant beat their ALWAYS fresh and warm chocolate chip cookies! I got a dozen cookies for my husbands promotion ceremony, and his shipmates loved them too. Their cookie cakes are super fun and easy to send to a friend whos having a long week or a birthday, too!
