Atlantis Games & Comics really packs an impressive collection into a moderate 2 story storefront. During our 30 minute first visit, no less than three different employees inquired if they could help me find anything. All three seemed genuinely interested in helping and sincerely liked working there. Every indication is that this store is the real deal. Card gamers, board gamers, role-players - they have it all.

Good Experiences are like gemstones; a joy to behold and memorable.I had a very limited budget and was still able to buy my grandson his highly desired GX card without breaking me. I even squeezed in an additional card and card sleeves which he didnt know he needed, but I knew he did. ;)The staff was knowledgeable and patient without sounding like we were the PIA that Im sure we were.

Super organized, they have a store inventory system that allows you to look up cards. If they dont have a card youre looking for they go above and beyond to check if their Portsmouth location does. The staff is super friendly. 5/5 will definitely be back.

Easily some of the best staff and customer service around! They are all so wonderful, kind, and incredibly informative!A specific example that demonstrated all of the above was the last time I stopped in. There was a customer in front of me with an intellectual disability and they were so patient and kind to him! They got him all squared away and answered all of his questions. It was extremely refreshing to see such empathy and humanity! It gave me a tremendous amount of respect for this company and for the individuals that work there!Keep being awesome!!

My clan and I were searching for this game online for weeks, and all we found was overpriced resellers, straight up frauds and false “in stock” claims. Atlantis had it at a fair price and offered a deal on the expansion! Their curbside pick up and online payment system made it a very convenient purchase. I look forward to doing business with them in the future.

Remodeled some, looks great. Crew is the awesome. Cards, Games, and Comics. I very much so like this place if I dont want to go running all they way down to VB or Hampton for TCG cards.

Today we came in with our two kids and it was an awesome experience. Montell and JC were super cool and welcoming. They were really fun and helpful and made my kids day!!! We will definitely will be coming back. Nice gem by the beach!!

Came here for MTG singles. You can call or use Facebook messenger and they will let you know what they have based on your list. They are doing there part when it comes to Covid-19. They go the extra mile to ensure you have a safe and pleasant experience!

This place is over priced and they are NOT fair with their trade ins at all, I understand covering the over head but they are down right cheap, we all have TCGPlayer.com dont act like cards prices are much lower than they actually are. Everytime I went in there the shop wasnt fully set up. They have alot of empty shelves and racks that remain empty and it looks unfinished, like they started setting up a comic book store than just gave up half way through it. I liked the building better when it was Tranquility Day Spa in the mid 2000s. It was more presentable, clean and welcoming.

Nice place. Everyone was very friendly and ready to help. Didnt find everything I was looking for but the staff were incredibly knowledgeable and able to make some excellent suggestions. Also, I never realized how many table top games based on popular horror/Sci-Fi existed.

Store employees on Christmas eve were very helpful; explaining new MTG card packs to me and figuring out what combination to buy as a present for my brother. They gave me a rare foil card in a card protector with my order for free as a Christmas present.

Great place if you are a comic book junky like me. They also have lots of fantasy games and cards, etc. for sale and they offer an area to play games with others and tournaments. I got started at the Portsmouth store which is setup like the Norfolk store. I know this is nuts but I am 70 years and still love comics. To let you know I am a retired teacher with a masters and advanced degree. This is just some fun!!!

Rude and very defensive Staff since COVID-19 and terrible customer service. Something i want to remind is we are not kids we are grown ups, when a customer walks up the door it is not pleasant to be treated in a rude way explaining rules like you were a little kid instead of putting it on a paper on front of the door and for all of this i was expecting a little bit of decency but all the contrary and as much as rude Staff are, is as much I do not recommend this place at all!!

Everything was organized and easy to find. Staff was very friendly and gave advise when needed. Even with having a little one in the store it was easy. She wanted to touch the case but was politely asked not to as there was a sign saying it was not stable. The way they handled it was excellent. I myself should have been keeping even more of an eye on it. Great experience and for a first time shopper will definitely be back.

Very nice atmosphere, and fun employees. Knowledgeable and good at explaining games so kids can understand what theyre thinking about getting. The membership seems like a good deal if you shop here often. I recommend stopping by if youre in the area.

Great game selection, great comic selection. They jumped through hoops to special order a game they not only didnt have in stock, but have never had in stock. Theyre also a local business, and are vigilantly doing their part to stop the spread of Covid since reopening for physical business.

Priced above market value on their comic book selection, when asked if they would adjust to market was told I was wrong and the posted prices weren’t negotiable.

Customer service is cordial and attentive without being pushy or constantly hovering over my shoulder. The store is neat and clean. I was impressed with the orderliness of the gaming tables upstairs. I will definitely return.

This is a great park to go for an easy walk that is about a mile just around the lake.There are numerous trails you can go on to increase the length of your walk. The trails are not difficult and a nice detour.If you go during the warmer months, be careful of ticks.If you play Pokemon Go, this is a great location for egg distance and it is also a nest.

I was in town for a couple of days visiting family for the holidays and found this amazing store. Great layout, awesome prices, and excellent trade in credit. After picking up some singles I hung out with 2 guys I met there and played commander for a couple of hours. I look forward to stopping by next time I come up from South Carolina.

The Norfolk store in Oceanside is very well stocked with games, gaming supplies, miniatures and painting supplies - maybe the best stock in Hampton Roads. Collectible card games are well represented. Comic selection is not the largest, but primarily this is a game store. Playing area upstairs is roomy with lots of table space. Small selection of used miniatures and some snacks. Upon entering, the first thing you notice is that the store is not well lit. It seems very dark. Ive never had an employee behind the counter make me feel welcome - almost as if I was intruding upon their domain except for J.R. He is great, welcoming and a real testament to what making someone feel welcome is about (If he is still there - give him a huge raise). Heading upstairs to the gaming area is awkward if you are not a regular, but the gamers (especially the Warmachine crew) will welcome you in.

Great community for playing MTG and maybe D&D. However if you are looking to sell some card for cash you will need it to be at least $100 worth before they can even give you cash back and they only give about half the value back in cash from store credit.

Yu-Gi-Oh selection is low, and runs out of product between 1 week depending on how hot the set is. Besides that problem the place has a lot of other games, tournaments, and a good community of people where everyone can have a good time.
