I admit that I have been to Thrift Store USA in Norfolk Virginia multiple times, one reason I feel comfortable/fine with admitting is because of the quality selection and bargain prices of the clothes and books available. My most recent visit I bought a couple pairs of jeans and t shirts (two mens size medium t shirts) . The cashier scanning my items was pleasant to talk to and interact with. This place also allows for donation items if you ever have a preference for donating any clothes.

I came in the store today and I just wanted to say that someone must have died because the clothes were amazing 🤩 The staff is also very helpful and friendly but this store is one of the best in Norfolk

Excellent store with friendly staff, wide selections in each area, and clean store.I originally came to buy long Johns/thermal wear for the winter and some beater clothes for painting and housework and was surprised with how nice the store was. That was two years ago.Keep an eye out for specials too. It pays to be thrifty.

Our first time there. Love their clothes selection and books but when we checked out staff was not very customer service friendly, unfortunately. Even at the end of the transaction we said thank you and nothing was said back. Not sure if we’ll come back

This place used to be so much better. Obviously not a fan of the mask requirement being that I’m fully vaccinated. I’m not sure how closing the fitting rooms helps people who are buying all used items. On top of all of that their prices have risen significantly.

Absolutely LOVE this thrift store! The best prices (especially kid clothes) & the best finds, everytime! Favorite thrift store in hampton roads, hands down!I just wish the employees were explained the importance of price tag positioning though... Not sure if its because theyre in a hurry when applying price stickers or if theyre just sloppy & careless, but Ive had SO many things nearly ruined trying to cleanly remove the sloppily-placed sticker. Also, the adhesive on their price stickers is the strongest, most impossible to remove adhesive I had ever encountered.Examples include... Stickers placed DIRECTLY ON CANVAS ARTWORK...*ON THE ACTUAL PAINTED AREA* so removing it with alcohol or googone would ruin it & scratching it off leaves scrape marks...Stickers applied DIRECTLY FRONT AND CENTER on things that will get destroyed if alcohol or googone is used, and scraping it leaves traces of leftover visible adhesive. I mean really? WHY ARE YOU PUTTING A DIFFICULT-TO-REMOVE STICKER RIGHT ON THE FRONT OF THINGS? If the person is too lazy to flip it around/upside down to find the price, then they obviously arent interested enough to be buying it in the first place. USE YOUR BRAINS THRIFT STORE USA EMPLOYEES!End rant LOL

You still have to wear a 😷 when you buy clothes make sure you wash them but its a good place to shop

This is a very nice thrift store. Have been in here very many times over the years. Always have a wide variety of items Furniture mattresses clothes household goods records vintage I mean youd be surprised of the array of items they have here. Just like any thrift store sometimes the pricing can be a little iffy. But have been in there many times me and my wife. Keep up the good work for thumbs up

We got a really fabulous wood and glass bookcase here for $150. We use it as a liquor cabinet. You really never know what youre going to find, but they always have a wide and fast-changing selection.

Decent prices for what they do have I suppose but every time Ive went (i wanna say like 5?) they dont have VHS tapes. Yet they have selectavision CED discs?

Ahh well i came into this store to purchase some lightly used undies. As a fully vaccinated young man. As i walk through a heard of un masked people i am approached out of all of them just me. The blonde lady tells me i have to be wearing a mask in the store to my surprise she tells noone else to apply a mask. Now im in line and naturally my mask slips off my nose honest mistake. The two middle aged adults in front of me not wearing a mask at all. The blonde lady comes up to me alone and tells me to pull my mask up or ill be escorted off. Unbeleivable customer service for some hand me downs! I will be taking my buisness to goodwill!!!

I visited the store on 4/27 to donate a very large bag of items. Upon walking in, a worker told me to drop the bag in their collection bin in a very nasty tone of voice. I then went to the checkout area to notify someone of how rude he was to me. I stood there the lady then asked me rudely did I have a question. I was floored. Im thinking okay, all of these workers are very rude! I asked for a manager she said she was one. I explained what happened and she was very nonchalant about this guys attitude. I asked for my items back and told them that Im sure they would be appreciated somewhere else. I actually liked shopping here but this situation made me very uncomfortable.

Made employee aware of a man who was lurking around in the store cat calling me and coming up to other women who were alone making them feel uncomfortable. Was told there was absolutely nothing he could do... he proceeded to ask if I was touched. I was highly furious as to WHY did I have to be asked that question for him to take any action. He could of easily told the guy to stop or kick him out. The man was not shopping just standing and waiting around for probably a woman he could take advantage of.Incident happened Saturday June 5 around 1:45 pm the employee I made aware is Charlie at least that what my receipt says. He is a tall man who is always there and wears a hat. In addition later I went on a Facebook local news page to see these same men have been going to thrift stores and trying to kidnap and take advantage of females Norfolk PD has been made aware

They make you wear a mask in the store whether you are vaccinated or not. They only sell used items, some of which could have come from people with Covid.

I’m not one to leave a review but I loveeeee how they sort everything by category then by size and color. Definitely saves a lot of time while your looking through stuff! They always good products rather it be clothes or furniture!I hate going to a thrift store where all the sizes are mixed up so you waste so much time looking at a bunch of stuff that your not even gonna buy. There prices are a lot lower than most store too! I love that I get some much for my money! Who doesn’t love a deal! This is by far the best store in Hampton roads.

Love the store but if they dont turn the air conditioner on and leave it on I will not be shopping there anymore till winter its hard enough for me to breathe with that mask on it being 80 degrees up in there is not helping the issue.

A friend recommended this place to me a year ago when I moved down to Norfolk and I can honestly say this is one of my favorite thrift stores to go to! Practically furnished/ decorated my whole house on a budget here. Prices are very reasonable, staff is super friendly, and the quality of the items they get/ sell are very good! I’ve even got a few clothing items from here. 10/10 recommend, especially for decorating/ furnishing a living space.

There is always so many choices, clothes, furniture, nicknacks, and art. Some times things are overly priced but not too often. Its a good place to find gently used items.

They have everything you need. Ive been shopping here since I was a kid. Still love it!! One of the best in the 757.

The stuff is neatly arrange and the shop is clean. They even prepare hand sanitizer upon your arrival. I am impressed with the array of clothing they have.

This is by far my favorite thrift store around. I have been going here for 8 years now. You will always find something interesting. Only thing I will say is watch the prices they have gone up like crazy since COVID.

Called the location this morning trying to help out a local double amputee family member coming home from the hospital.I represent a local nonprofit. I spoke to a very rude manager that hung up in my face. Refuse to do business with such a classless company.

This sore is great for shopping cause they have everything. Clothes, jewelry, furniture toys. Just come by and take a look for yourself. They also have an antique room. The prices are reasonable and they have alot of stock so come by and get what you need.

Ive never seen a Thrift Store so big. Found everything I went for. Employees were very helpful and friendly. I would go back.

Charlie is very rude and a very bad attitude...I dont know if hes the owner but he doesnt have great customer service...nice store, but people like him will run customers away or cause a fight up in there.

It looks big and shiny from the outside but on the inside everything was duplicates not easy to navigate. I guess it just has mediocre stuff and I wasnt interested in anything they had in stock. They have a lot of traffic compared to other stores but the big building allows space to walk around with social distancing. Thrifts store are all about scouring for the perfect fit and I know its a process so this store doesnt have any negatives. However, I wont be going back anytime soon because its too crowded and I dont think theyll have anything I would want to purchase.

This place is awesome. I just moved here from Ohio. I had no dress clothes because my previous job didnt require them. I found way more than I needed! I found 2 pairs of dress pants for less than $2 a piece!!! I cant find prices like that at Goodwill! I also found 2 pairs of shoes both under $10 a pair, with one pair being worn once and the other maybe a few times. My cashier was super friendly as well! I think her name was Erica. Definitely will be coming back!!

Found 6 gorgeaus dining-room chairs, one was broken. Brie (like the cheese), Sales associate went above an beyond and got me a great discount. A lovely experience, will shop here again!

They are usually pretty well stocked. Good price on the clothes. The furniture is sometimes pricey sometimes cheap.

Decent selection of stuff. I think its a bit overpriced for a thrift store, and its cramped and hard to move around because everything is pushed closed together and the store is always packed with people. Basically just frustrating when you have a cart.

Theyve always had a very good selection of items and Id normally give them 4 starts. Never 5 because the manager guy that wears that Cowboy hat all the time isnt friendly and is creepy, rest of the staff is decent. Theyve locked up the dressing rooms due to the pandemic but at least offer customers some sort of 7 day exchange deal like the others do. I mean theyre already USED items so whats the difference?!! Theyre policy for now is...You Buy It You Own It whether it fits or not. Nope That doesnt quite work for me.

Awesome stuff, huge selection, AND actual thrift store prices! Jikerra is a wonderful cashier. When I didnt have enough items for the $5 credit card minimum (again, everything is so cheap!!) she held the items for me while I went to find more. I was also impressed when she explained the policy of keeping most out-of-season items in warehouses so that the (already ginormous) store has even more relevant stuff. I cant wait to come back for one of those legendary seasonal clearance sales.

By far the BEST Thrift Store in Hampton Roads. I love that they do a military discount as well. If you are looking for great clothes for your children at great prices this is the place you want to shop at. I am always greeted with a hello and I leave with them saying have a great day!

I absolutely love going there but I must say now that a lot more of people caught on to this store they have went up on the prices... but I’ll still check with them first b4 I go somewhere else... but I definitely didn’t appreciate how I ask Charlie the store manager to look into marking down a dress that was 9.99 that stated New” but it was missing the whole right padding in the bra area clearly you can’t sell that full price when it’s clearly no padding in both for 9.99 but he told me someone else said no cuz it has new tags on it !! I said okay in left it there FYI. Charlie it’s okay to discount a item if you see clearly that’s it’s a issue with it!!!

I CALLED TO SEE ABOUT POLICY AND THE LADY SAID THEY ARE PRIVATELY OWNED AND SO THEY DO NOT HAVE TO CHECK OR NOTIFY CONSUMER THAT THE PRODUCT MAY BE FAULTY OR NOT EVEN WORK. I ASKED DID SHE FEEL THAT WAS OK SHE SAID WE AS CONSUMERS SHOULD ASK IF IT WORKS. WHAT KIND OF CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THIS. I SAID MAAM YOU REALIZE WEAS CONSUMERS WOULD NOT PURCHASE PRODUCTS WE KNOW DO NOT WORK. SHE AGREED AND RESPONDED.BUT WE ARE NOT OBLIGATED TO INFORM OF PRODUCT. I WILL NO LONGER GO HERE. I have been a customer of Thrift Store USA for several years. We call the store Charlies for one of the managers there. I am usually quite happy to shop there however today August 19 2017 visit was not a good one. Filling my cart with all kinds of goodies I stop over in my favorite section which houses the China depression glass and things if that nature...when I see these beautiful cups and saucers...4 cups to be exact and 6 saucers. I comment on how beautiful they are and the tags says cup&saucers $34.00. I think its too much and so I leave them. As I walk toward the area where the antiques are housed I see the matching teapot to the cups and saucers that I had seen before. Also there were 2 more matching cups all separately priced. I approached Charlie with which I thought was a simple problem to be addressed. It was clearly a set. He told me that some people like to buy the cups separately and teapot separately....when I pointed out to him that clearly the cups that I found separately priced made up for the 2 cups that were missing for the 6 saucers and 4 cups. So he would not admit the obvious mistake...said he could do nothing thats the way they price things which is not how they do things there. So I left all of what I was going to purchase right there. I know had I talked to anybody in the back they would have fixed that for me but he said that they were not there and that he was the manager.

The store staff doesnt follow the same policy. Customer service is poor and they need better communication with all the staff. Been using my military ID for a while now for the discount and now today they dont take it. Very disappointing will not step my feet back in there. Like I said I before every cashier in the store missed it huh?? Makes no sense!

One of the best thrift stores Hampton Roads has to offer. Largest thrift store I have been to. Great, diverse collection with generally fair prices. Nicely kept and staffed. They shine when it comes to clothing, books, and as far as thrift stores go, antiques. They lack a bit in electronics. Not the most charitable thrift store, but that probably is what makes it one of the nicest. It also runs on solar panels and is very energy efficient. Owner seems like a good guy. All in all, a great place to shop and just down the street from the second best thrift store in the area, Thrift Store City.

Employees very helpful. AWESOME selection. I am into audio/video and the items I purchased were vintage but sound every bit as good as the newer that is suppose to be better. Great prices on everything! If you think its expensive for a thrift store just do some comparison shopping and you will see the value you will be saving versus retail prices. Great selection on everything!!!!!!

I happened upon this store by accident and as I walked in the door a heavyset older man said “you have 5 minutes!” It would have been nice if someone said “hello” first.Thursday is military appreciation day for a discount.I am a widow of an honorably discharged Vietnam veteran but my husband did not retire from the military so I have no ID card.This store does give the discount to veteran families so I offered to show his DD214 to them but the answer was “No”. No military discount for the widow of an honorably discharged Vietnam veteran. We are not very appreciated for the service my husband did for his country at this store.

Very large and organized store you see employees walking around to help with customers and cleaning quick check outs and to I have fun just walking around the store as far as prices go thats for you to think about you can never make everyone happy on money but me I found some really good deals and great prices so if youre hot bored go take a look 😉

Huge thrift store, does have a strange smell, but then again most do have that smell. So all in all its pretty good. I love when I find markdowns too. Sometimes I feel like they have way too much that I only make it down two aisles before Im done.

They have a great atmosphere for shopping and you find great quality clothing. I’ve shopped for scrubs and found top brands for cheap! You can’t beat it!

This thrift store is unusually well organized. The employees obviously spend quite a bit of time making sure what you want is easy to find. The clothing is in good condition. There is also several pieces of furniture and numerous items for the kitchen.It is a modern building with glass walls and well lighted so it is easy to see the items.
