I wish I caught the name of the gentleman that helped us. He was by far the friendliest and most knowledgeable worker Ive had at a hardware store. He took the time to walk us to where to find multiple different things in different departments, and gave us alternative ideas when they didnt have what we were looking for.

Had everything that I was looking for. Staff knew where things were. And was very helpful..

Okay let me start off by saying i am very upset about this entire delivery process and how this location handled my order. This is my first time having anything delivered to me from home depot and i am very disappointed, I order 1 gal pump sprayer and 2 orders of mold remover and disinfectant and the time the driver arrived i was still sleeping so clearly i expected not to see the package because the package was NOT suppose to be dropped off without signature .( NO UNATTENDED DROP OFF ) To my surprise my paperwork for my signature was thrown on the floor and my package was not put in a safe space just left in the open area. Now i only received the pump sprayer and i called the driver to ask where is the rest of the items , he stated i only left what they gave me and hanged up the phone on me i called home depot 2 times the first time the representative was nasty and only stated well its not in stock but yet when i placed the order it was 16 in stock and the company charged my card for a product claimed not in stock. The second representative allegedly searched for the items in the store and she came back on the phone and stated they have none in the store even tho it says 4 in stock. There seems to be a lack of production record keeping and poor management. She stated she issued me a refund for the missing items so lets see if i get my refund, very disappointed because i needed these items for my cleaning business for hurricane ida flood clean out for my clients.

Rental van had a flat. Spare wheel was included but no tools were in the van.They dont send anyone on the parkway. The vehicle was towed to a ford dealership and we were given another vehicle. 5 hours wasted.They shouldve just arranged an uber back home for us.The vehicles are not well maintaned.

The worst home depot on earth, self service doesnt work. One register open. No service. Its really suck there. Spent 45 minutes in line waiting

It was easy to order air conditioner online, I was asked did I want to do pickup or curbside. I chose curbside. When it was time to pickup the item couldnt get curbside service , I had to go inside Homedepot to customer service in order to get what I had order . Then they didnt have a man around to lift it and put in my vehicle. A young lady had to help customer service who was an older lady put it on a pull cart just for me to get it to my car and lift it myself. The product I was satisfied with but the service there suck

Its home depot definitely will not return to this location too many homeless hanging around in the parking lot. I felt as though I was about to get mugged.

Specially Springfield Ave in Newark on the corner of Bergen. Door department very horrible. Absolutely not knowledgeable. Can’t even put in a simple order for measurements because know one has contacted me back nor does any department answers the phone there. 2nd time calling and still on hold.

Cant wait for the newly remodel Vauhall location to open, but the Newark is a good option until then.

So customers order stuff on internet how come your store associates don’t care about those orders. I’m sure it’s a big part of Home Depot income. Anytime u come to Home Depot is order is not filled answer. Lol it’s so hard to go 20 feet to an aisle and get an item.

Shout out to Dwayne in the garden department who really went above and beyond helping us out finding some bamboo fencing. He did an awesome job (you wouldn’t think this would be a hard job but trust me, this was not an easy job for a variety of reasons and if he wasn’t there I don’t doubt we’d be walking out of the store empty handed). Go Dwayne!

I have felt in the not so distant past the community of Newark was not respected by most big box stores and this was evident by the way they managed their Newark locations. If Im being honest Home Depot was one of the worse. It was much easier to just go to another location because 70% of the time they would be out of stock & had horrible customer service, They did have great parking! I am happy to say that Home Depot is better and I would go as far as to say that the Newark Home Depot is much better. I hope that Home Depot stores has learned that the Newark community expects the same level of service that you would expect in the richer areas and when we are given our due respect we shop and spend money. So I sincerely thank you Home Depot for raising the standard of the Newark location to what its supposed to be.

One of the many times I have left my cart and walked out. The lines in Newark Springfield are abusive. Customers should be getting much more respect than the grueling waits for checkout. You need a tag team, one person gets on line the other shops. Outside of that you will be thoroughly annoyed. The noise level is oppressive due to stocking, which would be better served than 11am than when the place is packed. What could have been a $100 purchase walked out the door!!

Sometimes they be out of alot of stuff but I was able to get all my wood from here to make a deck.

Only 2 registered open, extremely busy not enough workers to help customers with cashing out. Not following the stay 6 feet away code. Self check out was only 1 person. And she closed all the registers and was taking her sweet time helping us the customers cashing out. Smfh will not be returning to this location.

When I need something for my DIY projects this is one of my main go to spots. I’m in the process of doing household repairs and upgrades. So I needed various tools so off I went to Home Depot. I found a great deal on a Husky hammer, light plates and socket. As you can see I gotten a great deal on primed fiberboard. You can measure it yourself and cut it or get a salesperson to do so. This place is always busy and stays very well stocked. If they don’t have it. They will check to see if’s it’s available at another of their stores near by. If not they will order it for you and it gets there quickly. It’s always clean and they do enforce mask wearing and social distances. You’re not getting in here without it. They have a restroom and are wheelchair friendly. If you need a lift around the store. They have electric carts for those whom can’t walk for whatever reason. I love competitive shopping and Home Depot satisfies my needs for get what I need at an affordable price.

The store is big, and theres a good selection of typical home depot products youd expect. The reason for the bad review is the checkout staff. Atrocious. Theyre very rude, dont communicate and always have an attitude. The self-checkout hardly ever works and theyll close lines (that youre in!) without the decency to even tell you to move to another one or apologize for any inconvenience. Rather, it feels like your presence is an inconvenience to them. One cashier had an attitude that I didnt reach for my bag after she rang me up, and said its like I cant move, but my purchase was still behind the plastic covid partition. Sorry for following the rules and making you do your job.

Its the largest selection of tools and hardware needs in the Newark area.They have plenty of parking and its just a few minutes ftom Penn Station. They have olenty of staff on hand to help guide and find exactly what you need they even have a pretty good gardening section.

My sister works there so I went to see her and while visiting had some paint mixed poppin!! My room came out so nice!! My contrast wall took me 30 mins to design!! I love the outcome!!!

The Home Depot in Newark is about the only store I have observed in recent times constantly emphasizing the mask and the observation of social distancing.This exercise can be weaponized in the future with some jingles that awakens the consciousness of customers / shoppers already fatigued by the unending safety protocols to stay alive. And they (Social Distancing and the Masks ) are not going away soon either. Oh prices here is also humane. And Thanks.

I think they need to reassess tan customer service and awareness especially on hot days and especially when people are trying to have a pick up and only one person trying to do five things in one shot

Don’t expect much from this location. There are no carts (the employees said that people have taken them all), most items are locked up (the employees said that people steal everything) and the managers are not engaged (the employees said that they sit in the back all day).If you need items and don’t mind hearing the employees complain about how horrible it is to work and/or shop here, go for it. I even had one employee tell me to shop at the Vauxhall or Secaucus location.If you’re in a pinch, shop here. If you want service and all the other stuff you expect from a retail store, check out another location.

They have gotten to be a lot better since more people are staying at home now and doing their own repairs I believe it is now a lot quicker to find someone to ask for help if you need it

Employees need to be educated better and treat the customer better. Some are outrageously rude, lying to the customer because they dont know and lazy on helping you. If you know what you want or need and find it, your better off then asking for help.
