A bit of a mess, but this is one of my favorite places to shop of anywhere Ive ever lived. This is not really a farmers market, so much as a giant multi-ethnic grocery. Its huge, especially the produce section, and there is a ton of stuff I cant get elsewhere. The strengths of this store are the produce, the seafood, and alternative flours including gluten-free and whole-grain, ancient-grain flours. The problem with this store is that its organized by ethnicity not product type, so for example, you can find cornmeals and flour in the Mexican section, many other flours in the Indian section, some in the Korean section, and some in a separate bulk food section. Spices are found in even more different sections througout the store, there are literally three different Hispanic spice sections its crazy. Its too much, I wish this store was organized by product type so I could compare similar items side-by-side. Besides the terrible organization, this store is amazing. Generally good quality (except you have to watch sell-by dates on a few items with low turnover) and very low prices, and the selection is about as good as it gets. This store is always an adventure, and it is constantly adding new stuff! I have been shopping here for years and I always love it!!!

The Fugi apples are fine, the green peppers are great, the management is kind & understanding to its patrons, and the variety is very good. Worth the trip.

I like this place because it has seasonings and spices you cant get or cost to much at a regular grocery store. Downside to this place is the meat and fish is not fresh. Dont buy meat here unless your using it for crab bait.10-11 I think maybe Newark Farmers market is changing for the better. I went in looking for some marinades but decided to walk by the meats and seafood section. It didnt smell too bad this time. I hope they continue to throw out spoiled food instead of leaving it on display. Keep going

Strictly speaking this place is not a farmer’s market which sell local grows. It just manage to collect less fresh products and sell them at a cheaper price than ACME. Be very careful buying any manager specials, this label implies stinky meat or rotted veggies. I bought a pack of manager special chicken thighs for crabbing, and it stick up my freezer the next morning. You get what you paid for.

Most times they focus on quantity not quality. But this visit was really good. Large cross cultural variety of fresh fruits and vegetables plus grocer.

It is a good place to shop and so many goods, including foods, and other stuffs are in the market but prices are climbing up in which they are trying to serve their customers the best price.

Not sure why they call it a Farmers Market as it is a International food store. Food for Asians, Hispanic, and India are available and very reasonably priced.

This place is huge. Variety of selection is excellent. Prices are ok but not cheap. It has an Indian store in the same building. The Indian store prices are at the higher side than what you will find else where.

Im glad I arrived early because as I was leaving the place is getting packed they have so much to look at and they have a lot of everything so get ready and where youre comfortable shoes

Be careful buying seafood at the seafood counter. Went there this morning to buy fish and when I got home the fish was bad. I noticed it when I was washing the fish off and Texter was very mushy.

Beware..Pay attention during the billing! I got overcharged here a few times. There is no way of understanding what the charge is for in the receit. The description looks like produce 1, fruit 1. This time I decided to cross check the items against the receit. There is a $16 of unaccounted charge on my receit. Not shopping at this place again..

Good selection of food, well stocked. They dont turn up the heat at all, might as well be an outdoor market. Other markets give you a present for spending over $200, here you need to pay for your own bags.

Love going here! They have just about everything you need. A lot of diversity, with foods and products from so many different countries.

Delaware has alot of hidden treasures. I would place this market on that list.The international offerings are abundant and reasonably priced, I also really like the seafood and butcher sections. I can find a veriety of meat as well as fresh fish. I only wish that the crabs were kept on ice.If you havent been go and explore Im shore you will find something that makes it worth the trip.

I like this place very much! You can always find here fresh vegetables and fruits, seafood with the reasonably priced and good quality. The great amount of different national food can satisfy most of the people who like to thy different nations food.

Closest place where I can get filipino products. Store manager tries her best to keep products well stocked. Veggies and fruits are great here as well. Customer service isnt as great; it is hard to find a sales associate to assist you with items/issues if needed.

This is not your typical farmers market where you have a bunch of vendors selling food and products. Its more like a grocery store but with a decent selection of ethnic foods, more than your local grocery store by far. The produce and vegetable selection is great and they have large quantities of most of the produce. Will definitely be going back here.

As other reviewers have stated, this establishment has a highly diverse range of ethnic foods. Based on my limited time frame at the time I visited the place, I only bought tofu, and mapo tofu sauce mix.

One of the hidden gems of Delaware. Get the authentic produce and spices to make Indian, Chinese, Korean, Jamaican, Mexican, Puerto Rican (and so many more places) foods! Actual meat and fish counter, unusual produce not found outside larger cities, and an extensive selection of frozen goods from around the world. From sazon to paneer, it is on the shelves.

Check your recites. This place is notorious for ovrercharging. Recites look like : produce 1, produce 2 ... with no way of understanding what they charge for. Chashiers seem to use their memory for “produce 1, 2....” . Not only that, barely anybody speaks English and cashiers are rude, very rude. The place stinks because of unsanitary fish department. Good luck with it.

The prices are through the roof! It was out of the way for me today, but I have gone there, because I needed vegetables and fruit for my parents and my family and prices used to be so reasonable. Much better than a regular grocery store (even than my beloved ShopRite!). Well, not today! I have completely wasted my time, because I did not reap any savings. The staff is friendly and helpful, though! I do not buy exotic produce there, but for those who do, this is still the place to go.

The farmers market has a wide variety of products from different parts of the world, it is not just a Latin American Market. They have the fruits and vegetables fresh. Many varieties of Chinese and Korean products are available as well. Of the Venezuelan Products it has. flour bread in three varieties and two sizes. The flour for cachapas and the polar malt. The facilities are spacious as is the parking lot. I particularly recommend it Im sure you will find something

It was my first time at this store and I loved it! They had fresh croissants that were very tasty. Everything was fresh. Very clean environment! Definitely coming back!

I recall them having better produce in the past. A lot of the produce was wilted and not fresh. And the store was cluttered and dirty

Since I went there before Some of the prices have went up substantially. I do get a few things which I thought was worth buying.

Not impressed. High prices but large selection of just about anything herb wise. Not for me but could be an Amazing for someone else. Spanish, Korean and English speaking friendly. So I at least have to give them 3 Stars for that alone. Products are written in all 3 languages

Terrible both in service and product I bought fresh seafood, but the smell was so rotten, especially shellfish, 8/8/20 about 11 am. the female staff showed dissatisfaction when I asked for ice in the fish bag. Because I have traveled for an hours. I says thank you very nicely but she was so rude. The owner does not have any worker better than this girl. Yucky store

They have a variety range of fruits, vegetables, meat, sea food, beans from different countries. You find everything that you need in just one place.

A decent variety of items, but prices are much more than need to be. Indian grocery section has many items meeting in the frozen area. Also many frozen items have ice stuck to them as there are only a few items there.

I love the Newark Farmers Market. There are various selection of ethnic background to shop for. Homemade Asian dishes that i truly adore. Everyone is so generous and helpful. Went to their 15 year celebration and was treated with so much care. I could not choose a better place to shop. The varieties of fruits and vegetables are amazing. They have sections for several ethnic backgrounds. They are neat and extremely helpful. The owner has greeted me several times with kindness. I recommend you to come here you will love it!!

Good for Asian food shopping

Two days ago we purchased a bag of very expensive rice, when we brought it home there is a huge hole on the top with the tape covering it. We thought it just outside bags damage and put it in the storage. Today we want to make some rice and took some and started to wash it, it was cover full with dry bugs and live bugs. The rice also had been covered with rice dusts which are the left over from the bugs eaten it. We went back to the store today asked for the manager, there was no manager shown up and the cashiers are very rude and force us to exchange a new bag of bug infested rice and refused to refund or apologize for selling this POISON. We waited for the manager and eventually the cashier refund the rice and the manager never show up! What kind store they are running? I will never buy rice from them!

I bought fish there 8/2/2020 came home open the bag and it smelled but my grandma say its fish she didnt come to smell it . she washed it off in vinegar water and it got soft and changed color. i took it back along with my receipt and asked if i could get another type of fish instead the man behind the counter cursed me out telling me im not getting back nothing im a liar and he will not give me my money back. i was in disbelief about his behavior i was going to call the cops. but the cashier was pleasant she refunded me the money back. i do not recommend going there. some unprofessional and rude people work there. and the quality of food at times can be rotten. i tried getting management but they dont answer the phone there. i would not recommend going there. I have never experience such rudeness and wouldnt want anyone to go through it.

The service in this place has gone to hell. The people are downright rude. We were regular customers shopping multiple times a week for a big family. After THREE terrible experiences with rudeness...one even stated that we can shop somewhere else...we have. Will never step foot again.

Today not the best. Went for blue crabs the woman behind the counter spoke no English. Kept trying to give me a small plastic bag to pick LIVE crabs with.I continue to try to tell her they are alive & will claw THROUGH the flimsy plastic bag! Im pointing all kinds of things to no avail. So nope. Not today for them went to Jaes on Philadelphia Pike. Much better service & much cheaper prices & they cook them & they are delicious! Look no issue with someone who does not speak English but at least have someone there who does & can help oh & lower your prices for the blue crab. Just ridiculous!

I was there 15 minutes ago. March 12 8pm. I was charged for something that I did not purchase by a young man. I do not have any item that is $6.49 and it is on the recipes.Edit: The cashier stared at my for few seconds when I left. He might be aware of this but probably feel compliated to inform me about this since my card was already processes. He probably hope that I am not aware of this and let it go......

If you eat a lot of vegetables, it is the best place for you. The price here is good compared to other places in Newark. They have wide variety. They also have seafood section, I do not have a lot of idea about it since I am not a big fan of it. They have Indian, Pakistani and Chinese store attached to it. I can comment on Indian store as I often go there. It is very good and you can buy almost everything here. The prices though are about the same as any other Indian store that you will find. Overall great place to shop.

Picked up a set of 3 flower pots for less than $30.00.

This market is close to home and really cant be beat, as far as price. I get all of the fruits and vegetables I need for low cost! Youll find rarities here too!

My first time shopping at the Newark Farmers market when it comes the meat and fish selection giving this place a one star is being nice. Ive never seen rancid and rotten meat just sitting on the shelves likes it fit for sale. I will never buy any meat from this place.

This market is amazing!!! It has anything and everything you could want. So many different types of fresh seafood, a large selection of fresh pork, beef and premade dishes, fresh fruits of any kind, fresh vegetables of any kind, fresh pastries of any kinds, any dried foods (beans, spices, lentils, noodles, nuts & more) fresh herbs of any kind and many varieties of canned foods. I left the market with a cart full of great stuff like black garlic, thin sliced fresh beef brisket, a bulb of fresh fennel, a complete flan cake & much more.FYI ... the restroom was clean.

I love the butcher shop. They butterfly the chicken. It is such a bargain.

If youre looking for international ingredients, theres a very good chance youll find it here. Asian, Mediterranean, European... you name it.The building seems a little run down and dirty, but theyre are great deals to be had and weve never had any problems.

I do pretty well with the produce. I find some better than some other places. Also find flours and dried beans and other items you cant find elsewhere. Do need to know your prices. Must watch at the checkout to make sure you are being charged properly. Can save you and can enjoy foods not found in big grocery stores.

Great produce prices pretty fresh

Typical stuff youd expect an international flea market to have. Fruits, dry goods, and a splash of dismissiveness with every engagement.

You have to rummage through the strawberries, raspberries and Black berries to find a good one because every single time, the majority has mold on them. Then when you do find a good one, theyre almost going bad... cant win. This place needs a cleaning as well..

What a fantastic little find. They have every type of ethnic food you can imagine there. Can you believe they have so many ethnic foods in Delaware? It has an incredible selection of fruits and vegetables.

It isnt a super nice market like whole foods, but reminds me of markets I use to see while traveling. Very different vibe. I love how they have everything and it beats driving to philly to find items I can find down the street now. Prices are ridiculously cheap esp produce and they have European section with German products. Not big but very cool interesting things Ive never seen before. They also have a Turkish section. First time trying Turkish delight and it was good. This market is a good place to go to try new things. They have everything you could possibly be looking for. Staff seem friendly, so just ask.

It is a great place to get foods from around the world and has a wide selection of fruits and veggies you wont find at the regular grocery stores. The fruit and tomatoes used to be very good but recently in the last 6 months its been getting worse. Many of the fruit are bruised and there are lots of fruit flies all over.

Best place to go grocery shopping in the area. Produce is very well priced and fresh. Great Hispanic and Asian selection. Never got any fish here but it always looks great too

More or less like King of Prussia mall. Dress is business like. Good produce of all types. Friendly and courteous staff. Business competes with Nordstrom, casual market Place for clothes and furniture. Dining it competes well with Cheese Cake Factory.

I used to love this place. Varied selection and reasonable prices.However, after going there weekly for a few years I have decided not to go there again. The quality of the produce has been horrible. Items on the shelf contain mold. Many packaged items are out of date. You can smell the seafood department from across the store. I tried to speak to the manager about it as I have made multiple returns of spoiled products. Poor customer service.
