If you have a service or emocional support dog definitely AVOID this place.I went to buy some groceries at Emporium and I was not allowed in. I tried to show my dog’s documents but the supposed owner wouldn’t even listen.She was EXTREMELY RUDE.They lost a client.

Yesterday I had a not very satisfying experience in that place. I left Long Island (NY) to shop at the Emporium. The amount of things I had to buy (especially meat) was very large and I decided to go to NJ to buy since the price was better.I wanted to buy about 25 pounds of steak, other things. The acouque boy convinced me to take a closed box, as he was almost 34 pounds ... ok.Summer is coming, a lot of barbecue ... spoiling was not going ... and as I had come from far, I followed the advice.I asked him to cut it for barbecue, so he went inside, weighed it (it didnt weigh in front of me, no) and handed me the value in a machine sticker and handed me the meat.I found the meat small and I was scared when I saw it. So, as I had to get ham, cheese, etc ... enjoy the balance and checked the amount ... which to my surprise gave 27 pounds.I went back there and asked him to see if there had been any bags left with the other almost 7 pounds, where for my second and biggest surprise, he said that 7 pounds was for cleaning the meat ...I asked, What do you mean? So $ 35.00 am I just paying for cleaning the meat? ... he said that this waste was normal when buying the box ... so I said, but look at this meat from the counter, practically not there is waste, where he said, notwithstanding that there is not much cleaning, it is of inferior quality ... So I lose 7 pounds in 34 (pathetically 20%) and the quality of what I bought is superior ?????? ?????????Anyway, in short ... I couldnt win ... I asked the cashier if there was a manager that I could complain about, she said that the manager was the person in charge !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I dont know if it was the same person I treated because, to my amazement, I didnt even ask for names ...The meat is really good, the price is very good ... but this episode made me upset and I just wanted to warn anyone who is going to buy meat, ask them to weigh in front of you and follow all the cleaning of the meat, because if I had bought it a little more expensive in NY, I would have had more advantage.Thank you for reading my review.Nadja Moreno
