And claims you came with it.You pay for services and they make sure they find other fault that will make you panic since you are not a mechanic. You will end up paying more than you anticipated.And if you disagree you drive the car those problems that were not there will start manifesting. Now your car is in danger.If you do not have money, you will end up being worried.So it was my personal experience with them.

This place worked tirelessly to get me and my old van back on the road after a blown brake line. Rude and Incompetent staff. I called them on Tuesday regarding an inspection. They said they could get it done in 20minutes. I drove 45mins to get to their location. Once I entered, the man at the counter ignored me for a good 12mins and kept attending and even initiating calls. Eventually when he spoke, he said I had to wait 2hrs to get the inspection done. I recognized his voice from my call am hour back and asked him why he told me 20mins and I could come by. To which he said it is what it is. Very rude, unprofessional staff. They wasted my time and have wrong estimates

These guys took good care of us. We were traveling out of town when the starter went out on our van. We got a tow to this garage, and because we were from out of town and had a long drive to get home, they looked at the van right away, figured out the problem, ordered parts, fixed it, and had us back on the road in a couple of hours! Not to mention that they were friendly and fair, and they really seemed to care about is getting home safely. I cant begin to say how lucky and grateful we feel!

I always bring my car here for regular maintenance and oil changes, and decided to take it here when my car started vibrating at high speeds. I had when to take car in for a grinding nosie they had change the crank shaft,water pump, and my timing kit which came out $712.00. I still have the same problem now they told me it may me the alternator. They should have told me that from the begin . Just had my car towed by AAA and I specifically asked to be brought here. I have used this location many times in the past for regular maintenance and unexpected repairs. Fair and straightforward pricing. Clear explanation of the work needed and great service. As a single woman who is not car savy going into an auto repair shop it can be intimidating. I always walk away feeling like I was treated with respect and confident in the job done.

Tim helped me in a very professional and informative manner. He was also patient and kind with all of my questions that I had for him. Prices were very reasonable. Will definitely be going back.

Tire issues on the Garden State. Towing a 24’ trailer behind a 42’ RV. WILL “Mr. Awesome” told us to come in and he could handle it (minutes before closing time). I swear we were only there for 15 minutes at the most!!! Thank you WILL!!!!! Beers on us tonight!!!!!

Very pleased. Seasonal tire changeover was a breeze. They even put the tires back into the tire tote that I brought the winter tires in and back into the car — I‘m sure some places may not have been as courteous.Edit 5 months later: they hiked up the price AND they no longer support my car with their “new machines”. The guy that rings you up is disrespectful (doesn’t value your time amongst other things). Brought my car to another tire shop and they did the changeover in less than 15 minutes lol. I guess I just got lucky the first time

My AC wasnt blowing cold air in my Nissan so I took it to Newark Car Care. I have a warranty with my car so knowing they had to contact the warranty company after diagnostics, I left the car with them. After two days of not hearing anything I find out that nothing was done with the car because they couldnt get a hold of the warranty company. I call the warranty company and they received no call from NCC. After investigation, it turns out out that NCC wrote the number of the warranty company down incorrectly (after I give them the card) so two days were wasted.They diagnose the AC and call me saying they fixed it by reprogramming the temp control sensor (not covered by the warranty since its not considered a repair), and charge me an AC service fee + a re-programming fee. But after I pick up the car, I notice the AC is still not working, so I take it right back to them. They hold the car for two more days. Fed up, I call back to check up and they said that now my temperature sensor needs to be replaced and they do in fact need to work with the warranty company (and again wait for their response). I tell them to stop what theyre doing and I pick up the car and take it directly to Nissan. Nissan checks the temperature sensor within an hour and finds that its disconnected. After simply reconnecting the sensor, the AC works fine and no additional repairs or parts needed. This was a lot of wasted time that could have been avoided with proper and complete diagnostics, retesting, and better customer service.

It was a horrible experience. Triple A Service recommended this place. I paid $530, was told my car was completely fixed. The mechanic handed me the keys. The manager calls me over to say, oh sorry your car isnt fixed???? Well need the keys back. The extra parts will be about $400. Horrible thing to do. They had my car from 8am until after 6...

I’m from Baltimore Maryland and I was strained in New Jersey in a city I am not from. Most of the auto shops in the area were close and the ones that were open could not help me except this one. They actually stay open until my car was towed to their center and immediately started to work on my car and told me the problems that I was having. Not to mention, the price was reasonable. When I say they are excellent in communication and honest with the work I mean that thing. However, I still have to go get my car from them and drive it back here to my home town but I trust that the work is at its satisfaction and I am grateful for them to work on my car. I HIGHLY recommend them. Even if your visiting out of town, go to them please

Service was awful. Called on the phone and was assured that my car would be attended to immediately. Brought it in an ended up staying for over 4 hours. The job was not completed so I then had to come back first thing the next morning and was assured once again my car would be dealt with first thing. As I write this review, I am still here and it has been 3 hours. Will not be coming back to this shop.

Not going back. Had issues starting my car in cold weather. Thought it was my battery and went to buy another. These guys gladly sold me a new battery without testing my old battery. One month later my car wouldnt start and I had it towed to their shop. I told them that they replaced a good battery and could have identified the real problem if they were fair and thorough with their services. No f***s given. I ended up paying $500+ to replace a starter plus $120 prior paying for a new battery that I did not need. Good shops are hard to find.

Error in communication. I was told on Saturday my car. Needed two new front tires plus alignment and drivers side axle replace and if I get here by 8:am it should be done by 10:00. When I get here the tires is not here it will be here by 10:00, now 11:50 I lost a day at work and my car and I are still waiting. Note: my husband and I has been coming here for over 15 years. This is my only upsets.

April, 9/2019This place is the worse. They’re thieves. I brought my car in just to fix the AC. I paid $900 cash. However when i picked up my car the AC was never fixed and they tried to get me to spend another $1k just to look at it again and to fix it “again”. They couldn’t even advise what was going on Now i lost $900 & my car WAS NEVER FIXED. please Anyone understand. I genuinely do not recommend this car care center. DO NOT GO THERE. They are unprofessional and THIEVES and will scam you.I REPEAT DO NOT GO THERE.Is disgusting and poor consideration. Worse experience ever.

I needed major service on my car, Jose the advisor was very helpful and caring about my needs and was very reassuring and the mechanic who worked on it was very knowledgable of my type and model, I have to go back for a sensor but besides that since I have been driving it, it seems to be running quite well...thank you I will defenitly recommend this shop for your car needs

Wanted to check truck because of bell signal on way to doctor . Have a credit card with them. They didnt have the courtesy to just come out and look. Auto Zone does diagnostic freePaying the card off. Not going back😑

Terrible experience!!! Got here with the help of AAA towing service. Got an alternator replaced, guys whoever worked it didn’t connect the radiator fan cables at all, seen my car overheating and I manually connected them. You don’t want to do that. Don’t go to them. Now the f*#%ng alternator doesn’t work too!!! Negative 5 starts -***** and you know what they are AAA auto shop surprisingly. AAA over charged for alternator 3times the market(Advanced Auto parts) price.

They fixed my breaks and front axel but it was NOT CHEAP!: I paid nearly 700 dollars. This was 2 years ago. This year, I referred a friend for a oil change and a price that was dragging under their car...they were charged $280.... prices are too steep. We both have Fords. 2005 explorer and 2006 Taurus. .

RIP OFF!!!!! Went in to get brakes. Did only one side. Did not do both sides. Didnt say a word but took my money. Found out when I went to a friends mechanic to have brakes checked and thats when he told me. Wow....never been back.And left my car parked on the sidewalk. I told them to move it. Calls me to tell me someone hit my car. Broke my side mirror. They did have fixed. They went to junk yard and found one in red. I told them I dont want red my car is not red. So they had it painted the color of car.In response to Manager. I didn’t park it out there on the side. The mechanic parked it out there. When he told me they parked it out on the side. I told him to move it before someone hits it. Then I get a phone call someone hit the car and took mirror off. Wasn’t a courtesy they replaced it because it was their fault.

I went in for an oil change and being a woman to a new place I was a little nervous of being taken advantage of, but to my surprise I was given a copy of the manufactures recommendations for my car and I was shown the condition of my engine air filter. Even I could see that it was dirty and needed to be changed. There was no pressure or pushing services on me and I was very happy with the service that I received. I will definitely be back to have my car worked on here. I also liked the fact that the service was quick and I was in and out pretty quickly.

Mark and Eldon were great and very supportive in a difficult situation-got us on the road in a quick turn around after losing a muffler on the NJTP. They stayed open late to get us rolling, the best!

I had an appointment to attend to and they assured me it will only take an hour however right after they took my car and took the wheels off they then went on lunch for an hour when I clearly asked if they would be done in time. You can expect high prices. I had to bring my car back a second time, this cost me a lot in fees. They left my car unlocked and windows rolled down. They do not care. Gave me a different price than they gave my husband.

I went in for my tie rod to be replaced. Took a while but it was fixed. Once I left I noticed that when I had to make a sharp turn on the right side there was a grinding noise. I told the guy from the front desk and he told me dont worry about it its a new part and itll go away. Now the tie rod (where the noise was) is out if place and has to be replaced and it hasnt even been a year. Luckily I wasnt on the highway or with my children. Will NEVER go back again. Money wasted on a job half done.

These people literally saved my life. I was incredibly late for a meeting when my car over heated and and I was near Newark Car Care-- i pulled in --saw guy at front desk-- and even though they were really busy they still had time to see my car and tell me what was wrong..they even gave me a ride to my meeting in a mini van they have just for customers--wow-- after i returned they fixed the issue after a small wait and i was on my way--Thanks guys.. the TV and cold water station in waiting room made it possible to get through that hot day-- I would just suggest perhaps a snack station or something :-)

Found out the issues and fixed them at an appropriate price. Ive been here severally times without problem. its pretty busy here so there might be a wait but its definitely worth it. Ive have engine and brake work done here.

Horrible service. I had to take my car there several times for the same problem. This happened on two separate instances (for my AC and motor blower). The staff did not apologize for stringing me along and for not correcting the problem the first time around. I had to call their headquaters for reimbursement and ultimately took my car else. Very DISAPPOINTING! I would rate them 0 stars but the system does not allow it. Buyer beware!

Went in for oil change but my car was ruined. As they were touching things inside the engine to make more money

3 weeks ago I decided to get my car Hand Washed at Newark Car Care. They have several car wash packages, from the basic to top level. My car was due for a Top Level Hand Wash, so I decided on the Royal Flush Package which included inside & outside, rugs, armour on the tires etc.The cost was $26, they call it the Royal Flush Im guessing because you might as well go flush your money down the toilet! After they finished, there were several obvious problems. Bird Poop was still on the back window and the front window! The car was not clean & I was not happy.I attempted to ask the people to get the Poop and other dirt they had missed. Now everyone I approached spoke no ENGLISH! I pointed to the areas & they ignored me.I had to go back inside & ask for the Mgr. I was told he was around & he had on a red Jacket. She made no attempt to get him as she carried on a personal conversation with another person.Once I did locate the manager I had to wait an additional 20 mins. because he was dealing with other Dissatisfied Car Wash Customers. When the Mgr finally addressed my issue. The staff member came over & now he spoke English! I asked him to please get the Bird Poop off, he told me in Plain English this was too Much! I asked him to repeat what he said, because I thought my ears were deceiving me. He repeated it.I told him I paid $26.00 for this Royal Flush & that was TOO MUCH for him to think he could leave BIRD POOP on my windows.My Hand Wash Car experience at Newark Car Care was a Joke, just like that Joker that sits on Top of their Car Wash.I will not be returning for a car wash again.

I agree with other customers who calls this place / owner most dishonest and greedy. Any repair here would turn out to a huge amount as they try to squeeze as much as you can afford. I had two problems 1. small oil leak (2-3 droplets over night) and 2. drive belt noise. After car was examined, George offered huge list of repairs. I told him that almost half of repairs/ maintenance offered were done less then 6 month ago and authorized only repairs / maintenance what was not done, warned him that I need to see all parts replaced after repairs. When the car was ready no parts were shown. You can argue as much as you want for work you did not authorize but they will not release the car without full payment. I had seen many auto service shops but first time I deal with such dishonesty as nobody gave a repairs offer to sign. The oil leak was repaired but the drive belt noise was not. When I asked George for warranty repair on just replaced pulleys, belt tension-er, power steering pump ( according to him that was part of belt problem) he advised to use a belt grip or pay for other pulleys replacement while new belt had scratches after 4 days of driving and noise was heavier day after day. Also be wear that they will use your car for test driving of 170 miles in my case. After paying $3,550 for repairs, I had to go to another shop with noise and premature drive belt wear-out where it was repaired for only $245.

I have been bringing my cars to Newark Car Care since 2003 for everything from oil changes to transmissions. I have been through 2 owners and the service has not faltered. Leon, Jose and Mark are great and have taught me a lot about my cars. As a young woman its nice to know im not being taken advantage of and that my cars are repaired correctly. Even when money is tight and my cars always have issues when its most inconvenient, the guys work with me.I recommend NCC to my family and friends.
