Our vehicles are one of our important and large investments/expenses. We want to keep them on the road and in tip top condition. We need to do our research to determine which automobile maintenance crew will take care of that for us. I found that crew at Brandywine Auto Repair. I am new to the area and I found positive reviews online for Brandywine Auto Repair. I needed new brakes, front and back. I’ve racked up 230,000 miles on my car in three years as I drive for a living.In March 2021 I contacted Brandywine about doing my brakes and I stressed to them that my car chews through rotors for some reason.They told me that they would stand behind their work if the car chewed through the rotors.Today my car was in for a brake check. I believed my rotors had been chewed through having only put 9,000 miles on them since the repair.Brandywine replaced the rotors for free today. They didn’t charge me for labor either.It’s rare to find anyone today who stands behind their work and Josh & crew at Brandywine did just that.Thank you!!!

The best part is I know when I leave any of my vehicles with Marty, Josh and their crew, it’s in good hands. Honest crew with nothing but top notch service. They also make you feel family! Every time I drop my Jeep off, I stay while they service it and it’s nice to just catch up with them while I wait. Has always been great service. If there is a problem, you are informed in a timely, honest manner. Their repairs have always fixed the problem that I came to them about. And in addition to routine maintenance, they always check everything else to make sure that all is OK.

I would highly recommend this Auto shop to anyone be who needs work done on their car, or even just maintenance work like a simple oil change. This is a family business that is honest and will not rip you off like you have to worry about when you go get car work appraised at places like Pep Boys and similar places that Ive been ripped off at in the past (its hard especially for women who arent as knowledgeable about cars, such as myself, when you dont know exactly how much they are supposed to be charging you for certain services and car parts). You will NOT have to worry about that happening if you take your car here from now on.Their prices are reasonable, they will NOT rip you off, and to top it all off, one of the employees who works the front desk named Josh, will take the time out of his day to explain everything that is going on with your car, answer all your questions no matter how big or small, and even go as far as to explain how the car parts work that they are putting in your car, & he will also explain what happened inside the car that caused you to have to come in to get your car fixed (unless your there for an oil change or other routine maintenance, of course).Basically, what Im saying is that they go above & WAY beyond the standard of service that the other auto shops in the Newark, DE area perform for customers.Also, they do have a rewards program and a referral program that can help you save a lot of money and get discounts on your future services with the auto shop. The rewards program is based on a set amount that you have to spend, and when you get up to it, they mail you a $20.00 Certificate to use off your next service with them. The only catch is it expires within a certain amount of months, but if you get your oil changes done here every 3 months, you could always use it towards the cost of that. As a young woman who owns and drives a large truck (diesel, 4WD F250) Ive largely been treated by other local auto shops as the daughter/SO driving her mans truck. Since the auto shop employees have made this assumption of me they often speak down to me and talk to me as if I dont understand that my own truck is a diesel (Thanks Captain Obvious). Brandywine Auto Repair never spoke to me or treated me with that manner and that means A LOT to me! I feel as if they respect me, my property and my time. I will continue to come back to Brandywine Auto for all my service needs.

After picking up my sons old Charger - a car that amazes me is still running so well -- we talked about how great Brandywine Auto has been to us and how much we trust them. The bill was minor (as usual) and the car is running great. Just to note, Jiffy Lube put in the wrong oil, but charged us for the more expensive, required type. So it was great not to get gauged by Brandywine for the damage they did. We only trust Brandywine Auto now for everything!!

I highly recommend Brandywine Auto Repair. My first appointment about a year ago was for a vibration my 2006 Honda CRV was having. Was told had something to do with the transmission. Turned out it cost me $127. They could have said I need a new transmission. This made me feel like I finally found an honest auto repair shop. Josh is wonderful. Of three bids that I collected including Martin Honda, Branywine was the most expensive. But because their location was convenient for me and their reviews seem to support superior workmanship, I thought I would give them a try. I had a complete brake job performed and overall their work seemed exceptable except at some point when they flushed the brake line they damaged the fluid level sensor. The warning light is now illuminated and because of this the anti lock feature is not functioning. When I picked the car up the mechanic mentioned the light being on and said it would probably go out in time because there was probably just some sediment lodged in the sensor. Two months pasted and the light is still on. I returned to Brandywine and spoke with the Marty, the owner. He told me the light was on when I dropped off the car (reading from his computer). I told him he was mistaken. He explained the car had come in with low fluid and the light would have had to be on. I again explained that I had dropped the car off and had witnessed the light being off and I checked with my daughter who drives the car regularly who also confirmed the light not being on. The cost to repair this issue is about $500. The fluid level sensor was functioning properly when I dropped it off and the mechanic was aware of this fact and that it was not functioning after they repaired the brakes.When you pay a premium you expect quality work and honesty, I believe I received neither at Brandywine.

Disappointed, Inconvenienced, and Surprised.Financial: Quoted $407.56 - Actual $534.96 - Reason: Extra 31.3% Total Cost (Due to Labor).Skill: I was informed they do these repairs on Toyotas all the time. Upon my own inspection, they did the best they could considering it was an exhaust repair job.Schedule: Very poor - I was informed the work would be done so I could use my car for work Wednesday morning. I dropped off my car on Monday (for a 1.2 hour repair job). I called Tuesday to see when I could pick it up. I was told 4:30 p.m.After arriving at 4:45 p.m. the work was not completed. My car was not finished. I re-arranged another ride to pick me up and bring me home. I also scrambled to arrange transportation to work the next day (the result of me not knowing the truth about the actual condition of my car). This caused obvious undue inconvenience that I could have planned for if I had known the true status of my vehicle.Project Details: Flex-hose exhaust repair (leaking). Replace Flex Hose/Catalytic Converter section of exhaust pipe. Extra work was required to remove the exhaust manifold (additional $117.96) to drill out bolts that snapped off due to rust.I will let you the reader determine how my experience impacts your decision to do business here... I am just reporting the facts for public awareness. Personally, I will continue to keep searching for another repair shop that offers the service I expect.Happy customers are not only concerned about money, sometimes the service is crucial to receive their repeat business as well.

I have dealt with several automotive repair shops and had both good and bad experiences. However since taking my cars and trucks to Martys, I have always felt I was treated fairly and got a great repair.

A/c problem on honda civic repaired after diagnosis and very fair estimate. Completed by end of day. Drove home with ice cold a/c. Followup email to make sure i was satisfied with service! Highly reccomed this shop
