We worked with Sean from Quality House Wines to supply the wine and liquor for our wedding. They were wonderful to work with from start to finish. They helped us to prepare an initial estimate of how much alcohol we would need, which ended up being very accurate. We then went in for a tasting, which was a wonderful event all on its own. Sean was very knowledgeable about the wines, and very helpful in advising us not just on the wines themselves but on how they would work with the food that we were serving and our plans for our wedding (e.g., which types of wines would more likely be appreciated by more of our guests). Quality House worked with our caterer to deliver everything to our venue, and then checked in with us the week after our wedding to see if we had any wines to be returned (because their estimates were so good, we ended up not having a ton left over, so we just held onto what we had for our own personal use). The wines were well enjoyed and we feel like we got them at a very reasonable price. Thank you to Sean and everyone else at Quality House!

I remember when this store was on Park Ave. not on the side street. The owner is hilarious. The first time I was there he was like a mad scientist that invited me into his laboratory - he took me to the basement (which was stacks and stacks of cases of wine) he bobbed around and found something exceptional. I wont forget it - also had an amazing story about the wine that was a gift for a friend. It was a great experience. I was happy to find that even though he is around the corner he is still in the neighborhood.

This is my absolute favorite wine store in NYC. They have the best selection at amazing prices. Their customer service is amazing! The staff is so knowledgeable and also incredibly friendly.

I have been dealing with 2 generations of family that own this shop since 1973 and gotten wonderful advice, service, pricing and friendship. Great memories of time spent with Gary and his dad Bernie Fradin.

Standing in the aisles browsing, dont be surprised if the owner shoves you to get by. Very good selection but its just not worth visiting this store for the awful service.
