I have bought numerous highly sought after bottles of wine from Acker at Auction and in house and have never had a problem. The numerous staff I have spoke with both from the actual store front to the numerous staff Ive spoke with in the auction side are all very friendly and helpful.

Ive had a lovely experience with their auctions and staff. If youre enjoying yourself bidding on these during Covid times, they usually deliver around 2 weeks later. The service is really good though so if you have some special thing that is going on, just contact them. I really get a fast response by email. Speaking on the phone with them, I find them all very nice and super cool. I cant wait until this whole quarantine stuff is over and I finally get to meet these people. They have really helped make sure Ive wonderful wine to get through this Covid period.

I was looking for a specific – and ostensibly elusive – bottle of wine everywhere in the NYC region and the people at Acker Wines were able to source it for me. They went above and beyond to procure it and the quality of the service they provided was incredible. Glowing reviews all around.

The best wine store in NYC. So much knowledge, friendly and not arrogant. Great selection of wine especially in the closed off area in the back. The pricing is fair here and not arbitrary like at Bin 72. This is a good alternative to Beacon Wines.

Great selection or wines from all over the world along with good choices for common to rare spirits. Im on the mailing list for one of their sales reps and get notified when they receive really good Spanish wines. Never disappoints.

Its a pleasure buying here, because its clear these guys really know their business and love talking about their wares. We came to buy a half bottle of expensive champagne as a gift, and ended up with an exposition on sloe gin and what makes one particularly good. Im not a gin drinker, but after this Ill try the sloe gin he recommended.

Excellent experience time after time. Im no wine expert and staff is so knowledgeable. Expected it to be pretentious and intimidating but everyone is always so nice, patient and helpful. I purchased a rose that I loved but the bottle was discarded before I could write down what Id purchased. I called the store the next day and described the label as best I could and they found the wine for me. On top of that, the wonderful French salesclerk recommended another wine for me to try that was just as spectacular. They have frequent wine tastings in the store.

I am consistently impressed with the excellent advice and service here. Not only have I learned quite a bit from the staff about wine, I feel like every time Ive taken a recommendation from them its been an excellent choice. Theres nothing better then patient, sincere and kind customer service.

The WORST customer service in the whole neighborhood. Tal does not need your business. (So go elsewhere if you dont want to leave feeling horrible!!)Some decent choices: 67 Wine & Spirits, Bin 70 Wine, and Beacon Wines and Spirits. These are all actual businesses!

I was picking up wine in the store for a lot I won on their online auction. There was a bottle missing and when I inquired with the staff, they acted like they had nothing to do with the auction part of their business. They knew nothing about it, and were less than helpful. I was directed to email their auction department. Ever since then when I enter the store I cant shake the sense they dont want me there or my business.
