Great innovative ice cream with lot of fillings and cool names.The texture and flavors were great and sweetness was just right, all at decent prices.My favorite was the Incredible Hulk, which was vegan with spinach,kale, spirulina, avocado etc. and while it does sound like a green smoothie, it tastes absolutely amazing. Strongly recommend it. The chocolate marshmallow truffle and strawberry cheesecake (Pink Floyd) were quite nice.They also allow you to sample.It is also a minority owned business with a very nice back story of hope and new beginnings.

What more to say than if you in the East Village, LES than what are you doing beside getting yourself an icecream from Mikey. I finally took my mom on national icecream day and she was mad i hadnt taken her before.The Mac Daddy is 🤯🤤, it actually isnt even right how delicious it is which is why I try and leave it for very special occasions.My mom got Southern Hospitality and enjoyed every last spoon.So show support to this Black owned business, he has another shop in Harlem and I think has one in Gotham West market, dont quote me on that.

Delicious ice cream with wild flavor combos. The ice cream names are the icing on the cake. Simple blue and white decor like the classic NYC ice cream truck. Pop icon faces adorn the back wall as clocks. The service is stellar but the line may be long. Lucky me, I got to see Mikey. Its a must if your in NYC. 2 locations 1 east village 1 Harlem.

Came here after Birthday dinner in midtown. Got a cup of Southern Hospitality , its definitely better if there are more pieces of pecan pie filling in it . My friend got the Brady Bunch banana vanilla wafer flavor and I definitely liked that better. But I live in this neighborhood and I like to support local business so check out Mikey on Avenue A !

There are quite a few ice cream places in East Village and Alphabet city but none of them are quite as quirky as Mikey Likes it. There are only a handful selection of ice cream but each is more delicious as the next one. We got Truffle Shuffle and banana ice cream. Banana ice cream was good but not my taste but my girlfriend loved it. Truffle shuffle was definitely the show stopper. To the point where we were fighting for the last bite of it and banana ice cream melted away in a corner. Highly recommend to anyway looking for an authentic Village experience

Foxy brown milkshake is the best shake I’ve ever had in my life. I sampled the foxy brown before deciding it would make a perfect milkshake. The other flavors sounded amazing as well. All hand crafted there. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about all the flavors. It’s hard to decide with all the amazing choices. The staff are happy to help.High quality ingredients makes the ice cream a little expensive but you get what you pay for. Mike’s is a good place to spoil yourself.Enjoy! 🍦

The flavor I had was the best ice cream I’d ever tasted. And the staff were really nice, especially with my kid who’s trans and autistic and skittish and can take time to make up their mind. They smiled through it; always appreciate that. They’re so sensitive but it’s also so easy to make their day... and this place succeeded! Mikey personally thanked us for dropping by. I thanked him for the ice cream. Lovely!

Loved the decor! There werent too many flavors left when we got there, but the guy behind the counter was genial and very knowledgeable about every flavor. I had the Foxy Brown shake, which was delicious!Almost got to meet Mikey, but he was busy on his phone. Looking forward to going back again.

They currently have 2 vegan flavors and 1 dairy free (I asked Mike about the dairy free one which contains sugar n Oreos so he stayed with non-dairy just to be politically correct). The cookie jar definitely has the smoothest and creamiest texture out of the three, the green Hulk is super refreshing especially if you like greens like me, the Blueberry one is fun though the texture is a bit on the icy side. *Note that their spoons and scoop containers are NOT compostable, although their waffle container IS compostable. So if you’re getting multiple scoops make sure to ask for the compostable waffle container!

The red velvet waffle with Pink Floyd ice cream sent me to heaven. I know... strawberry ice cream with cheesecake doesnt sound that good, but trust me, its GOOD (and not overly sweet)!

We walked into the store, said hello, nobody was at the counter, so we thought the shop assistant was in the back. After some time she walked in from the street saying that it was her break indicating that we have to leave. I honestly don’t understand why someone would leave the ‘open’ sign on the door and allow herself that much comfort of not fulfilling her only duty on the job of serving a customer and making some business. Super appalled.

First, the customer service was fantastic! I didn’t get the gentleman’s name, but he was amazing. The quality of the vegan and diary ice cream was amazing. I will be sure to visit againUpdate: umm the Southern Hospitality is my favorite ice cream! I have eaten 4 pints and I cannot wait go back for my 5th. I was in the mood for ice cream so I came here on a Thursday afternoon. They only had four flavors from their flavors list and the flavor of the month and some other random option. I sampled a few flavors and found them lacking flavor and just not sweet enough for me so I didnt purchase any. They also dont have any plain flavors such as chocolate and strawberry which I prefer. If you like ice cream with a lot of things mixed in, you might like this spot. I always like it when they also include the typical flavors along with the creative ones.

Great Ice cream! I Had a plain waffle with Pink Floyd and Dough boy! The pink floyd ice cream has cheese cake chunks inside of it and is has a very rich taste. The waffle is made to order and served warm and slightly crispy. They guy behind the counter and very nice! You can also order root beer floats and milk shakes. Check out the celebrity clocks on the wall, theyre pretty cool!!!!

Cheeky down-to-earth atmosphere. Ice cream had a grainy mouth-feel, but the variety of fun flavors make it a good spot for kids to get a sugar fix.

The ice cream here is good but the base is a little icy and less creamy than I was expecting but the flavors are fun. Southern hospitality is butter pecan ice cream with praline pecans is definitely worth trying. The server was also very friendly and was nice about letting me sample EVERY SINGLE FLAVOR (yes, Im that person).

The hotter it gets the more ice cream you need to stay cool!!!! So I decided to visit this establishment to get my ice cream on. I came a day too early because the place was not open for outdoor seating yet but Mikey said seat here and order what you like and ill give it to you. I really appreciated that he stopped and served us even though the doors were closed to walk-in. The customer service has made me so happy.I had the Foxy Brown and my companion had the Southern Hospitality. I couldnt wait to take pics and was digging in to my pint before i even made it to the car lol. I love caramel and chocolate cookie wafers. The creaminess of the ice cream was perfect. I cant wait to grab another pint.I appreciated the customer service even more because I was walking around Manhattan looking for open outdoor dining establishments to try with little to no luck. Mikeys is opening its door this week so I look forward to eating my ice cream on that iconic bench.Thank you Mikey for making my day so bright!!!!

This the the best ice cream Ive ever had in my life. How do they make it so good?!? We ordered some pints for delivery. They had car trouble, so our delivery was two days late - but it was totally worth the wait! Im ordering more all ready. We got Truffle Shuffle, Jack and Jill, and Southern Hospitality. I cant pick a favorite they are all too good.

The Ice Cream was amazing here, satisfied my wifes 1AM ice cream craving when she was pregnant. We went back yesterday for Ice Cream and it appears the business has been seized by New York State. I hope it comes back soon.

Terrible service!! I placed an order on 9/22 for local delivery to be sent to my little cousin for her birthday and she never received it. The next day I realized I didn’t get a delivery confirmation so I contacted them via email and didn’t hear back. On 9/24 I called and was told they were very backed up and my order would go out for delivery that Sunday. It was ridiculous for a food order but I wanted to be understanding and support a small business. That Saturday I received a call and text telling me my order was being delivered and to meet them downstairs. I called back and explained that the order was for a family member and I provided the code they needed to ring the apt. I figured they were able to deliver it but to be sure I texted my cousin asking if she received it and she said no. I call back MLI and the woman on the phone tells me my order wasn’t in the bag and that my order was delivered the day before which was totally incorrect because I already asked my cousin if she received the order and she said no. I asked the woman to cancel my order and to have her boss call me and she said she would but I never got a call or a refund. I’ve spent so much time trying to get my order that I’ve given up. The sad thing is I really liked their ice cream and I try to support small businesses but they’re customer service and delivery is awful. I wouldn’t recommend them.

Their ice cream is really good. I usually get the Mac Daddy. I pay the extra fee for the red velvet flavored waffle. But the Mac Daddy is half a Belgian waffle with your choice of ice cream in between. I just wish that the only location for single serve wasnt all the way downtown. I was told that the location in Harlem was switched to become the place where you can purchase their ice cream wholesale.

I almost never write reviews for food spots but I was blown away by this place. First off, the ice cream is amazing. Its really damn good. But the service puts the excellent ice cream to shame. The general manager is amazing. He was so generous, and insisted on us trying a large variety of flavors with HUGE samples. Such a nice guy who cares deeply about the business. We could have sworn he was the owner. We were blown away. Fantastic spot.

Worst ice cream shop ever! My pregnant girlfriend was craving this spot so we decided to drive from dyckman to the LES location, but before we took the drive she insta message them on iG to make sure the close at 10 (which they did a promotion post twice in one day on IG that they close at 10) and they replied “yes, come through” so come through we did! We get their at 8:50 which took us less than 20mins From the time we spoke on dm till we got their and to our surprise it was closed with the gate down!! We replied again to the dm and their reply was, “sorry had something to do” never would we ever go to this place again!!! Most unprofessional experience we ever had to deal with!!!

The best ice cream I have ever had! I live in dallas, and I am constantly checking to see if they will open a location here. During my NYC trip, I stayed in the upper east side, and I took a taxi and subway just to find it. It took about an hour to find it in the hustle and bustle of New York, but it was worth every second. The people were so nice, and the ice cream was unimaginably good. I had red velvet and strawberry cheesecake and they are still engraved in my brain how good they were. I give mikey likes it a 15/10!

Love the Strawberry Cheesecake ice cream! Lines are sometimes long and reach outside the door. The line is mostly for the ice cream parlor instead of the actual restaurant.
