Ive been a loyal customer, but the last few months their juice/smoothie bar is never open or ready until at least midday (they open at 830a most days). I walk in and they just point to the closed sign rudely. Should update the hours of this separately so customers know. It’s really annoying.

I love this store for so many reasons. They specialize in rare finds such as mushroom coffee, plant based products, homeopathic remedies, and fun healthy snacks. So so so so sooooooo excited to have found a store with the largest selection of FourSigmatic mushrooms!I met the owner who was so friendly. The store makes me happy to know it exists and run by someone who is informed and still curious for more. This is one of the bigger spaces I’ve been to and I’m quite happy to know they have such a large selection of products.My favorite section is the ice cream section. They have the hard to find brands. They have dairy free options and plant based options. I think they can expand to more unique brands too but I’m quite happy living close to this store.This is a great store for truly health conscious and health curious people. Catering to mainly vegans with options for their friends!

While shopping there at 37 weeks pregnant I needed to use the bathroom. I went to the pharmacy where I found a guy (not wearing a mask) who told me the health department had fined them when they let a customer use their bathroom which after looking online I have not found anything stating a business can not allow their customers to use their bathroom. In fact I found just the opposite that under Ally’s Law businesses are required to let a person with specific medical conditions to use the bathroom(pregnancy being one of them) I put everything back that I was purchasing and I will not be returning.

Tom in the supplements section was very knowledgeable and helpful.

Like another comment mentioned, they specialize in rare finds. For me, I finally find a place that carries mikawa mirin, which I couldnt find in any Japanese grocery stores. Absolutely love it!

Tom is the man - he knows everything about supplements - he might be a wizard. He was extremely helpful and knowledgable, he even went out of his way to look up whether a certain compound was in a supplement or not, thanks Tom!

Avoid this place. Whole Foods has better service and better prices.A guy in the staff was rude and wouldn’t provide a return on a clearly fault item, and wouldn’t expect this treatment, given the prices.He suggested I kept raw meat outside of the refrigerator and that’s why it was bad, I live one minute away - that’s how long the item didn’t have refrigeration. I KNOW THAT MEAT GOES IN THE FRIDGE, I beg you don’t insult my intelligence on top of your rudeness.THE ITEM WAS REFRIGERATED PROPERLY. Don’t SELL items that are not appropriate for consumption.Loyal customer GONE

They have some great organic and vegan options as well as a good selection of supplements. Their staff is friendly and knowledgable. They are a little more expensive than whole foods. If you have a problem with a product, they do not allow a refund. If they stood by their products, I would have given them five stars. Instead, I’ll be shopping elsewhere for a month or two.

My experience in this store with all its organic and natural glory is,/was a very unpleasant experience for me on two occasions, the treatment of me by management at this store, this very evening was nothing short of atrocious and disgusting. Im a 64yo disabled veteran.. and very nice person..

I was there yesterday that Hispanic staff was very disrespectful and threatening me to called the cops at me and yell at me wear a mask whlie i was wearing the mask. I call the owner over the ☎ to about this issues. The owner promise me he will solve this issues but never did. He act like he dont know who staff members are and most of are Hispanic and one African man didnt know how to speak English

First, I want to say I am a frequent shopper here and appreciate their selection, although as others have noted, they are somewhat expensive.Honestly I dont usually leave reviews but I feel I have to in this case because this problem has been very consistent. Their customer service over the phone is not very good. Several times in the past, when I had gotten sick, I had called them to check whether they carried a certain type of medicine and had similarly less-than-satisfying experiences. The most recent time, I called to ask whether they had one type of homeopathic and was put on hold 4 times. First I was passed to a guy who asked to put me on hold, but then it went to a woman who just answered Yes?, who then asked me to hold again. I was quite surprised. Her way of answering the phone is just not courteous. At the very least, greet the customer first and ask what they need help with. And why I was passed from one person to another and then asked to hold again is beyond me. But this wasnt the first time I had gotten this type of service over the phone - confusing, slow, and not very service-oriented. I hope they can improve this going forward.

This is the correct place to find green products such as toilet paper not wrapped in plastic, bamboo toothbrush and zero-chemicals personal hygiene products

Finally after speaking to management for a couple of years, Elm carries my vegan chocolate wheat-free cookie made by Nutritious Creations that is the most excellent chocolate cookie out there - the regular version NOT the non-fat one. NON fat cookies are awful, and this is what I was trying to tell the manager. He finally relented and brought in the regular version which tastes so much better. People, good fats are GOOD for you AND they taste MUCH better!!

This place is great! All the best vegan and organic ingredients you can find in the area. And the staff is incredibly helpful!

I was pleased when I came across this place. It had my favorite vegan food items, and a huge selection of healthy snacks. The prices were competitive even with out-of-state and chain health food stores. I didnt have time to try the juice bar, but it looked like I would love it. Ill be stopping by the next time Im in the area.

Great selection of organic produce and vitamins. Love the tuna sandwich! Eat it daily for lunch. Excellent juice bar that uses only organic ingredients, but not overly expensive.

There are stores where customer is always right. This does not seem to be one of them. Staff has an attitude, and while selection is good, prices are not that competitive. When I pay $11 for a smoothie - I’d expect it to be cold... So many options in West Village for organic produce, etc

I honestly love shopping here when I need to buy healthy vegan/vegatarian food. They have juice bar and a ton of different Essential Oils. The space is great and you never feel cramped at the store. They have a great selection of vitamin pills and it is very organized.Pro-Love the atmosphere, positive environment, great customer service and very relaxing to shop. I never feel the rush to buy something or wait on a long line like the 14st Whole Foods rush hour timeCon-Sometimes they dont have everything that your looking for, there is no flyers to know if anything is on sale you have to look at the shelf

This used to be my local grocery store until I discovered that the check out staff at this store does not know their own promotions and cannot read their own labels. The man at the counter enjoyed arguing with me more than listening to the repeated customer and when he finally discovered he was wrong he didnt even apologise. Horrible customer experience. Not coming back.

Me and my wifes son went for his medication, and the staff was very rude. I am from Canada and he didnt even apologize for his employee when the manager started making jokes about my wifes son skin color Our / her child is mulatto and a big guy. My wife was very angry and me as well. This is 2017 and I still have to see racism when I visit USA. At least in Canada people are nice.

If you are thinking about becoming healthy, perhaps eating clean or cleaner then run not walk to Elm. Great selections if food, both prepared and unprepared. Vitamins. Produce. Soaps. Etx. And the staff is knowledgeable.

This store has the best supply of natural herbal suppliments in capsule or the natural root of leaf form. Price is a little higher but then again its NY city so its what to be expected

I arrived at 9.05 pm to buy some dessert and the posted closing time was 10 pm. The doors were locked and an attendant came to see me at the door and said they decided to close an hour early tonight. Not reliable, not good enough for Manhattan

Im totally surprised I like this place as much as I do. Its just a simple, great store with everything you need and nice people, so five stars it is. Terrific supply of frozen foods, with every ethnic variation covered (Kashi frozen pizzas are goooood), nice supply of fresh food, lots of beauty items, and theres a juice bar. Prices are very good for New York (what youd expect to pay vs. the usual gouging). Lots and lots of interesting beverages. If youre within half a mile or closer, its worth the walk.

For such a great store yall have some cranky dour staff. Like I was a juice bar barista for like 3 years so I even have more compassion for less than thrilled customer service reps than your average person but dang, I come in here almost everyday and I never once have left without thinking about how bad yalls staff is. No smiles, barely a greeting, crankiness and sass at the slightest inconvenience....yall should do something cause your staff doesnt do your location nor products justice
