This is a gem I discovered during my vacation. Ate breakfast here the whole week, enjoyed every moment. Very friendly staff, delicious food and positive vibes - I highly recommend them !!

I got freshly squeezed OJ for $7 and a toasted muffin with butter. Prices were standard for this area of NYC and the guys there were really friendly :) thank you!

Food is so bad and over priced the quality of food is super bad the Hot Buffet looks more like a dog Buffet, asked for a ham and cheese sandwich and it was more like a meyo and onions nasty.

Never Again in This Lifetime Will I Patronize This Establishment!!!!!!! I ordered a Turkey Burger and something from their hot Buffett. My exact order was a Turkey Burger with Lettuce, Tomato , Provalone Cheese & ketchup. The was $10.26. I get back to my office, which is approximately 7 blocks away, 14 flights up, just to find 2 pieces of green something between a bun with lettuce, tomato, no provolone cheese. Now you cant turn your nose up to something that you havent tried, so I pinch off a piece of This so-called Turkey Burger. It was the nastiest thing I have ever tasted. It didnt have a meaty taste, but it didnt taste like a veggie burger either. (Not that Im an expert on Veggie Burgers), however it tasted heavily seasoned with Cumin. I called the establishment and told them about my dissatisfaction with my green Burger, he assured me it was a Turkey Burger, I told him its the nastiest Turkey Burger that I ever tasted & cant eat it, his response! So what do you want me to do about it? So now Im out of 10 bucks and starving. Im left to do the only thing I know how to do; Do A Review! Good customer service doesnt end when the customer leaves the establishment, its resolving issues to make them want to revisit the establishment! #neveragain, #extremelypoorcustomerservice #AHappyCustomeIsAReturningCustomer!

Went there in May this year while on a small US tour for work. Being from The Netherlands Im not really used to this morning routine... Loved it! Hard working no nonsense place with good food!

Very rude customer service! I went in and was going to buy some snacks but the prices were a bit high compared to where Im from. My friend and I had food from down the street and were about to sit down and eat because it was extremely hot outside. The owner (Im guessing?) very DISRESPECTFULLY told me in a nasty tone that we dont have a right to eat outside food there. Thats fine. I understand, but he was unnecessarily rude and mean about it. I asked him why he had to be an a** about it and he said to me, suck my ****!If you value respectable customer service, you wont find it here.

We (a family of four from Sweden) went here three days in a row to eat breakfast and it was excellent. They had a great variety of food to choose from and the staff was really nice. A lot of locals came here too and it was nice to see a bit of the everyday life of NYC.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER ! The woman in the front is very nasty. She has a horrible attitude. Also during your transition she’ll take other customers which is really rude and dismissive.Update 04-05-19I came to this establishment again and the lady in the front had the audacity to ask me why I wrote a bad review. How unprofessional! If you look at other reviews they talk about her attitude. She needs to be fired.

I went into American Gourmet Food restaurant on Sunday November 10th around 10:00am. I use a wheel chair and have a service dog. I was with four of my friends. We had already ordered our food and had gotten fruit from the buffet when the manager came out and told us that my service dog was not allowed in the restaurant. I explained that she is a service dog and is legally allowed anywhere with me. He refused to change his stance and so we left without paying for the food that was prepared for us. We went to a near by McDonalds to eat instead.
