I had heard about CW from a podcast and had to visit. It was as awesome as it sounded. Ruth pointed out some pencil options that sounded like theyd fit my style, an eraser and a nice sharpener. I also grabbed a .28 rollerball; crazy fine line. Definitely worth a visit... or several.

Fantastic Service. When you order stationery theres a certain expectation that the people running the store share the same passion and love of analog writing. Well CW Pencil exceed that expectation. My delivery came faster than expected and the care, thought and attention to detail that went into the delivery was exceptional. The order was packed like a tetris game and each item was hand wrapped in a different color wrapping with a unique closing sticker. A personalized note was included along with an itemized invoice and complimentary postcard. The items were carefully padded with brown paper and in perfect condition. I thought only high end Tokyo stores were capable of this kind of service. Youve won over a stationery lover and a cynic. You give the type of service others claim to but fail miserably on. So much variety. Some pencil s will take you down the memory lane of childhood days. Some will simply intrigue you. Some will attract your attention because of their unique shape or color. It’s a fun little shop that requires you to block off an hour of your day because I guarantee that you will get lost in the Sticker Room or find yourself having long conversations with the sales associates. It’s amazing how they know so much about pencils!

The staff here is so helpful and friendly. We spent a good 30 minutes just looking everything over and they answered all our questions. They asked what kind of writing tools I use now and recommended some things which I really enjoyed. Highly recommended!

I had massive expectations prior to visiting this place. They dont hold an exhaustive collection of pencils and related products. I couldnt see as many mechanical pencils as I hoped to see. If they have a specific mechanical pencil, they dont carry enough auxiliary items like the lead and paraphernalia. I was not very thrilled to find that they dont carry the famous Steadtler brand from Germany (perhaps they didnt have stock or they are not keen to have collections from other parts of the world as much as from Japan/ USA, Iam not sure). I wouldnt mind recommending a one-time visit.

This place is heaven for pencil lovers.Here you can find literally hundreds of different pencils from several parts of the world.The place is small, but dont be confused by the size! They have more things than what youd imagine.

Disappointed this trip. I was surprised at the poor quality of their paper products. And the pencil selection seems more limited. No Blackwing Volumes? Still, though, a selection of pencils that cant be found elsewhere.

Ive been following CW Pencil Enterprise for a while and I finally ordered some pencils online. I was so excited to receive my package and I was definitely not disappointed! The pencils were reasonably priced and the packaging was beautiful. The pencils are amazing quality and I am so excited with my new stationary tools!! I opted for the gift wrap option just to see the beautiful, aesthetically pleasing packages. As soon as I received my package, I signed up for the quarterly pencil box - I am so excited!

This shop has a splendid selection of pencils from around the world, with knowledgeable staff to explain the application of each type of pencil.Some stationery, such as journals and loose paper, is also for sale; the shop has a small room on one side dedicated to stickers.A desk near the front window offers shoppers the opportunity to try out many of the pencils for sale.

They focus on all the little details when I revived my shipment it came with a personalized note (I always like to put a little Thank you or I hope you have a great day in my order notes) and wrapped and tied with twine. Its the little things they do, taking a moment out of their day, to connect with there customers that I love. I cant wait to shop with them in the future again. Hopefully, theyll make a rewards program, I know Id end up spending more!

Ive purchased replacement blades for pencil sharpeners twice now. Quick shipping. Also in the package on your order sheet, they write Thank You, your name, and the name of the person that took the order. I love this store. 99% of the merchandise is just different pencils, and the staff is incredibly knowledgeable about all of them. Ive honestly been kind of amazed by the history/facts about some of the pencil varieties. You can also order custom pencils--I got some made as wedding favors and our guests loved them so much that the box of extra pencils went missing. The store also has a really cute room of different stickers, and I think its probably the most extensive collection of stickers (and definitely the most unusual) Ive found in New York.

Small shop, but theres not a lot of fluff and the staff is usually really helpful. Cool people, cool pencils, and you can go as expensive or cheap as you want and still get something solid. There is also the pencil testing station, which is pretty cool if you dont feel like buying all the pencils when you first want to see if you might be interested in nice pencils and stuff.

We used this store as an excuse to visit NYC back in 2016 and have visited every year since, along with being regular customers online. If you’re a fan of the analog way of life and pencils, this little shop is for you.

A true gem of a store! I visited after hearing about it from multiple creatives, and I wasnt disappointed at all. Dont be fooled by the relatively small footprint of the store - there are a wide variety of pencils and other writing accessories here. The staff member on site was extremely helpful with her suggestions and recommendations when I had questions. I will definitely be coming here again on my next visit to the city.

I saw this place on an article online and I decided to visit on a whim and it did not disappoint! Their selection is amazing and most are very cheap and affordable. They even have prepackaged sets to for your pencil use. Ex: sketchers, note takers, jumbo pencils, pen lovers, etc.Other than pencils they also have a room in the back DEDICATED to stickers. Perfect for sticker lovers! Also great notebook and paper collection.

Wonderful pencil shop on the lower East side. A little out of the way if youre playing tourist, but only two blocks from East Broadway on the F line. If you love pencils you have to visit. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and can definitely help you find whatever you need.

Wonderful selection and awesome customer service.Ordered pencils online but were sent to Brazil for some odd reason, I contacted customer service and they verified that the product was lost in a different country. They refunded my transaction and apologised, seeing as they were sold out of the pencils I bought. They could not replace the pencils that I bought, in spite that it was for a gift for my partner. However, the customer service and speed of postage is always on fleek and very timely. Always happy to shop from CW even though at times the postage cost is a little pricey, but that is also due to where I live. Best pencils and great descriptions on the product pages.

Heard about this place from The New Yorker. Really cool place with very helpful kid working there. Im left-handed and he—also being left-handed—recommended a set of pencils that dont smear.Its a tiny place but has remarkable passion for what goes into crafting the perfect pencil.

This shop is whimsical in every way! It is bursting at the seams with every kind of lead-filled writing implement available (and a healthy helping vintage treasures too). The displays are clean and charming, the staff is passionate and informed, and the bowl of Lemonheads at the counter is icing on the cake!

Stumbled upon a cute pencil (stationary) store while in the area. There is all kinds of pencils and also old school pencils. They sell Shinola notebooks, which are my favorite. The prices are also reasonable. You cant step into the store without resisting the urge to buy at least one thing!

Found an adjustable pencil sharpener, caps to protect the sharpened tips of pencils, and a wider variety of pencils than I knew existed along with staff who could explain it all from their own experience.

They have my favorite pencils and is not expensive!
