Fun diner and ambiance! Came here for a small bite to eat and were seated immediately (outdoors). We got the chocolate milkshake (fine but nothing crazy), Greek salad, California salad, smashed avocado toast, and a side of fries. Everything was pretty tasty but the service was pretty slow, even though our server was friendly.Ambience is cute and tables are spaced well outdoors.

Came in late at night with a 13-person party of rowdy high-schoolers--the service was excellent, the food was phenomenal (perfectly cooked steak and milkshakes with the perfect thickness). Might be a bit on the pricier side for a diner but worth every penny!

I have been meaning to make my way to this place since them reopening. The experience started amazing from just being seated right away by the Maitre d Raoul. The restaurant was beyond busy and i was nervous that I needed one to have breakfast. Hes fashionable, super friendly and overall just good at his job. My food however did come with a delay because of how busy it was but was understanding because of how visibly busy they were. Vegan pancakes are a must have! My husband enjoyed the farmers breakfast. The server did seem to be a bit overwhelmed but made sure not to let it go noticed. I think im confident in my new brunch spot of choice and cant wait to be back. Would recommended to anyone :)

Beautiful diner with classic atmosphere, very comfy booths and attentive staff. There is a beautiful outdoor seating area as well and social distancing and masks are utilized. The food (both vegan and regular options) are well worth their price range and are delicious, the portion sizes are very generous also. A reservation is recommended but I was able to find seating for two on a holiday Sunday morning regardless. I recommend the vegan banana pancakes as well as the buttermilk, the side of bacon features thick cut slices also. The hash browns are the slightest bit oily, yet they are scrumptious and vegan as well.

Such a disappointing service experience. My friends and I had been so excited to try this place, and while the food and drinks were decent (nothing particularly special), the service was the worst we’ve ever seen. Overtly rude server and an ineffective manager. The kitchen apparently can’t handle “a brunch rush” (restaurant was 3/4 full at most) and the service team has no idea how to accurately record a food order or politely explain that they don’t know the difference between starters and main courses to customers. Plenty of other options on the block, might I suggest anyone reading this go up the street to Felix? Far better!

Stopped on by for a couple of cocktails... ‘cause it’s a hot girl summer - cocktails were on point... and $16 for those of you who are price-concerned. Their outdoor space is very cool - they’ve got some sidewalk seating along with a yard, which is quite large by NYC standards - basically has two sections separated by a bar. Our order was quite simple - a Buck, Hot Pink Margarita, Saratoga Sparkling Water & Chicken Wings. Staff was lovely and accommodating.Went inside to use the restroom so I was able to get a sneak peak at their indoor vibe and what it’s actually like during real life - think DINER. Oh yeah, looks like they’ve got the diner concept down to a science.COVID concerns? SoHo Diner is on point.1. all staff were wearing masks2. social distancing strongly encouraged and some classic & clever reminders are throughout the restaurant in case one forgets3. there will be a COVID 5% charge on your bill which covers cleaning, wiping down tables, sanitizing all components, etc.Broom line: if you’re looking for a spot with a chill vibe, super inviting outdoor space, great customer service, some fine cocktails and grub, check SoHo Diner out.

I wouldn’t recommend. Lousy service and the food was marginal at best. Fatty roast beef, food came out cold. I actually left a good tip only because I didn’t feel like having to wait what would easily have taken 15 minutes for the waiter to return with change. If I leave extra money because it’s worth it to me to just be able to walk out, and has nothing to do with the food or service, the place has to have sucked pretty bad.

I ate here in october- the food was wonderful but the service was horrible. On New Year’s Day we went to give it another try - we had a reservation for noon. We waited at the hostess stand for about 20 minutes with other patrons/food delivery workers. No one assisted anyone or offered any explanation for the wait. Staff walked by, saw the crowd, rolled their eyes and walked away. Finally the hostess came out- we told her we already had a reservation. She rolled our eyes, didn’t ask our name and walked us outside. Sat us at the only table without a heater- when asked if we could switch tables she rolled her eyes again and made us pick up the table settings and move it to a different table. Other patrons complained about the lack of heat- the hostess proceeded to kick the heater angrily. We then waited for 15 minutes in the cold without being approached by any staff- not even for water. We got up and walked out.

The food at the Soho Diner is very I cannot say that the food is at all bad. The thing that lacks is the respect that workers get at the SoHo diner. I worked at the SoHo diner for a couple of weeks and immediately quit after I found out the floor manager Artan is a coke addict that doesn’t care about any of his employees. He doesn’t have them on a strict schedule and doesn’t share tips with employees like how they are at other restaurants. I only made $15 an hour when I should have been in the tipping pool. I would not recommend working here or even going here as a customer because of the disrespect that is going on at this restaurant. The floor manager should be fired and looked into by the owners of this restaurant. Thanks for listening.

Hello,I was a customer here until I noticed how poorly they treat the staff there. After eating here for about 4 months I one day asked a food runner if he is included on tips and then tipped him myself when I figured out he was not included on tips. This restaurant needs to pay their staff more and get rid of the management that don’t pay fairly.

Came to the Soho Diner as part of my Anniversary date and omg this place is AMAZING!!!NOTE Because this is located in Soho prices can be a little on the higher end. Think $15 for a salad before adding protein or $21 for Rigatoni Bolognese. With that being said the food is INCREDIBLY freshwe started the meal with Garlic Shrimp this was flavorful and the grilled bread just tosses it over the edge. The Lump Crab Cocktail is sweet and herb-y with the goddess dressing that was servedFinally they are NOT joking when they say the Mean Green Chicken Wings are not for the faint of heart. I barely got 2 down and my partner finished off the rest lol.Chopped Kale Salad was outrageous... I never in my life thought I would actually CRAVE a salad after eating it but I dream of the amazing taste. There are foral notes along with savory and salty. Im actually ordering one now as I type this several days after my anniversary because I needed it!!!For mains I got the 6oz Fillet Steak which was cooked to perfection. [Medium Rare] it was soft and the flavors had managed to permitate thru the steak. It is seasoned with pepper corn so if you arent a fan of pepper Id suggest going another way but man was it good, it came with a mountain of onion rings which somehow didnt lose their crisp after sitting on the side for so long!!! My partner ordered the Grilled King Salmon... the perfect flaky texture assisted in carrying out the butter and seasonings throughout. The lemon tahini was so light that there was no way for it to over power the salmon and made the most delicate bite when tahini can be very over powering. The ambience is very laid back and the lights are kept dim, along with the furniture that looks like it jumped out of the 1950s its a funky little spot. Not the place you would come just for some drinks but the staff is so inviting you might just stay for drinks to chat it up when they arent busy. The Soho diner is DEFINATELY going to be a once a week spot for me because everything is good!!!Honestly Id recommend saving up a little and giving this place a shot or come by with like $30 or $40 for a great meal alone.
