2.16.19 - great value, no frills, no 5ax if paid with cash. Usually no wait. Second time here and it is consistent with the first experience.Get some.

The place is clean. But food is awful. Apparently they are not authentic Yunnan Rice Noodle as the picture showed on menu. They suppose to serve raw meat/egg/vegetable with boiled soup. Let you or help you put all the raw material into the boiled soup IN FRONT OF YOU then lastly add the rice noodle. But all of these had been done in kitchen and you will only see the rice noodle is added to the soup. Guess its because most of the material particularly the meat isnt fresh. Also they can add a lot of cheap frozen fish ball, squid ball into the soup in this way and you wont have chance to argue. In fact, you could tell some of the frozen processed starch product having strong smell of the refrigerator. Very disappointed!

Not authentic authentic but way authentic enough for most of us - by us i meant usual asian food loving new yorkers. Apparently you wont find the real yunan bowl here (using raw meat and egg and preparing the bowl in front of you), instead they do that in the kitchen, which i am more than fine with. frankly speaking, how can you expect that in new york? This place is among my top 3 favorite noodle shops in new york. if i want authentic authentic noodles, i will go China (or maybe LA). no 5 stars b/c service is just ok and somehow they only have 1 waitress. p.s. i like both the noodle with soup (which is the shop is famous of), and the stir fried noodle dish here. definitely give the latter a try if you havent. the pic is the latter.

This isnt a popular cuisine in America, but I believe that it will become one. Just like the multi-culture variants of ramen, its the signature type of noodle from YunNan China. This place has the best Cross Bridge noodle brooth in town, plus, the ingredients are overwhelming in quantity and similarity to those of YunNan. Since its not a popular cuisine, the competitions are limited, thus it makes it even harder to find such authenticity. Totally recommend foodie to try and to read the history behind this cuisine, theres a touching story behind it.

A pleasant surprise find, met with a friend for dinner. Classic Chinese dive but native high quality, food was super good. Also good prices, good portions, low key. Definitely would go back again.

Like the other reviewers said, the rice noodles set does not come out in individual raw ingredients. Everything is cooked together and brought out to you. That being said, the food was tasty, but nothing to write home about. Everything in the pot was overcooked and the broth lacked much depth. We wished the broth came out a little hotter, too. The little side dishes are recommended, since theyre all seasoned pretty well. Why the low score? Felt a little cheated with the rice noodles set, especially when the photo below clearly shows it as a set with cook-it-yourself ingredients. Maybe should have asked?

I came here on a Saturday night, and when we arrived, it was empty (when we left, it was about half full). I got the braised fish noodles, and it was sufficiently spicy. The noodles were thinner than Im used to for this dish (Yunnan noodles specifically), and the fish was fried, not braised. The fish was not very good at all. I also had a bit of my friends soup from his seafood crossing the bridge noodle, which was very seafood-flavored but Im not sure what the soup base would have tasted like. There was also a lot of oil on top of the soup, and I became extremely thirsty afterward (MSG in my soup possibly or both soups). Not a fan of the noodles which were too thin and not a fan of the thirstiness. For $8 pre-tax pre-tip, it was definitely good portions for the price and I desperately wish it were better, but alas its not, so I probably wont be returning.

Not the place if youre looking for authentic Yunnan noodle. The meat is already cooked in the pot not freshly put in the hot broth afterwards. Little meat and vegetable but plenty of unhealthy processed starch fish balls. Totally disappointed!

The soup is fresh and fresh, and the clerk’s service is quite enthusiastic, but the rice noodles are very touching except for the fish balls. I ordered some rice noodles and said it contains chicken, fish, beef, and lunch meat. The photo can spread out a plate. In fact, there are only two pieces of each.
