Great place to grab a quick coffee in the morning especially if you are staying at the Hotel Indigo directly across the street! Salted caramel latte was PERFECT! not too sweet not too bitter, PERFECT! Service was quick and youd play about the same if you got Starbucks but the quality is 100% better. The coffee shop is super quite for Instagram photos too! Definitely a trendy vibe!

Started Sunday morning off with a few coffees. The line went out the door but took less than five minutes.We ordered a Latte with Oat Milk and an Iced Coffee with Oat Milk. They were excellent. The extra Oat Milk is a $2 addition which seems steep.They did a great job of decorating the store with plants. Will absolutely return

This coffee shop is my favorite place to kill my time and do my work. I really loved this place because it was not too crowded. Also, this place has a great ambiance. The coffee that they had was not too strong. The cakes that they had were freshly baked and delicious as well. The brunch options they had were so affordable and delicious. This place should be known by others!

Stopped by here after breakfast for some morning fuel. Had a salted caramel latte which was nice a cup of coffee so would recommend trying this! The service was quick despite there being a line.Overall this is a great coffee shop with a decent amount of seating and a nice, rustic atmosphere - I can totally see myself coming by here to do some work if I lived in the area. The shop does seem to be very popular so you may always have a lot of background noise but nothing a pair of headphones cant solve!

Live right next door - just moved. They would have had my business every day, or twice a day, but exceptionally poor service in the bottom 10%. The coffee is average. The Lazy Lama and Vita, both about a block and a half away are good alternatives. Lazy Lama is awesome!

Mostly good coffee but the service is oftentimes rude and sassy. They will make you a bad drink if you don’t tip (I tip every 2nd visit) which is disappointing when you’re paying $5.50 for an iced coffee.

I have never had a ruder barista in my life then the young man working the counter today. He had a problem with everyone for one reason or another, except for the man standing next to me that was the same demographic as him. He barely said a word other than that I had to raise my mask higher (the man next to me had no mask on and he said absolutely nothing to him). It felt very much like he was looking for someone to argue with. He made my coffee, and plopped it on the counter with aforementioned attitude and walked away.On top of the horrible service, the latte was average at best. Will never return

THE GOOD & THE BAD MY HONEST CARELESS JUDGMENTS: Walk in to a retro living space from the 70’s. Cool furniture and over all good food. I’m a fan of there banana/peanut butter toast “leave out the honey though,through’s off the taste”! Place is warm and the foot traffic is great. This place is kind enough to have an outlet every few feet, because if you know NYC cafes you will notice NO WiFi and NO OUTLETS, they don’t want you camping out in some of the most expensive square foot in the world! Oh before I go, some of the baristas come across pretty emotionless no smiles and NO facial expressions when you speak to them LOL, just saying!

Had their latte. Strong and flavorful, definitely good. The barrister did a great job. Cant wait to try their mocha next time. It would be nice if they have non disposable cups for those who stay for the coffee. Nice seating area. Pretty decor. Nice and clean cafe.

Ludlow is my favorite of the several nice coffee shops in the area. There is a lot of varied seating (communal table, bar, comfy chairs) for whatever your loitering needs. They have solid drinks (albeit pricey) and a very nice vibe. Perfect place to dream about startup plans.

I just moved to the neighborhood and started to visit Ludlow Coffee Supply as they have an earlier opening time than most other coffee shops in the area. Today, I arrived at your location on Ludlow street at 7:01am, opened the door and walked in saying good morning. The person behind the bar/counter (a man in his early 20s with bleached hair) proceeded to say were not open yet, realizing as he checked the time that it was past the official opening time for the coffee shop. When I questioned about when theyd open the he proceeded to rudely and loudly reply (scream?) were not open yet, well open later. I dont know, in 5 or 10 or 15 minutes. Im closing the door. This was not only a terrible way to start my day but also a very poor reflection on this establishments customer service and desire for business. I wont be returning and would advise everyone to avoid it too.

Latte and drip were great! Matcha muffin was very yummy. Some people mentioned the baristas had an attitude but in my opinion they were helpful! Went at 7am on a Saturday so pretty empty, very spacious without the typical hipster crowd.

I took a detour to work for grabbing a coffee from Ludlow because I saw on Instagram that its their 1yr anniversary. Its comparable to a European tea house Id say, its very cozy and the interior is wooden, like the old houses in northern Germany.The cappuccino was excellent with almost no sour taste and the amount of milk was perfectly in harmony with the espresso.The guys were friendly, however couldve been a bit more excited about their anniversary haha.

Very cool little coffee shop with good coffee. Only had an espresso which was rich with very little bitterness. A little expensive and wish it came in a proper espresso cup and not paper because it changes the flavour. Which I could try their avocado toast because it looks amazing!

Wow, this place is great! The cappuccino was very well made, and the space is pleasant—my first time in and they were playing one of my favorite songs. Also, even though conversations were happening all around me, the space feels like it dampens the sound enough so that other people’s voices aren’t as distracting as they are in many other coffee shops. (I don’t know if this is really a result of the space or just my mood this afternoon, but I liked it.)

Cool vibe. Great espresso. Non-dairy options including pay milk. Couches, high tables, comfy chairs, outlets, WiFi...

The ambience is pretty cool, spacious and with lots of nice plants and even a poster of an album by the remarkable afrobeater who answered to the name of Fela Cuti, but... the quality of the coffee falls short. The only flavor to be found in our cortados is... burned.

First off, I am an avid coffee drinker. I cannot go out of town without having my morning coffee. I happened to come upon Ludlow s with a very long line. Walking in the door the atmosphere was amazing! The music was on point and the coffee...the coffee was phenomenal! I went back 3 times that day to try three different coffees! Hands down the best coffee I have ever had. When I go back to New York this place will most definitely be on my list!!

Ludlow Coffee Supply is my favorite cafe to meet up with someone or to get work done in the Lower East Side, primarily because the communal tables give it both a welcoming feel and there is usually space available, despite the store being relatively small overall. Its also open reasonably late, so its good for any time of day.

I went here on Sunday with my girlfriend because this was only planes place in the neighborhood that was specializing in coffee products. The cappuccino was amazing the service was great the girl behind the counter had scary got make up and it was a Sunday afternoon so it was confusing? But I don’t care.I would totally recommend this place if you’re good coffee nut and they have this weird Scientology kind of room in the back which is super quiet for working I guess I hope looks more like a classroom

Great coffee shop, good coffee, love the people, easy to sit down and work and the WiFi is pretty decent. Definitely get a hipster vibe, but hey its a coffee shop in NY. I would definitely go back, but does tend to get a little crowded during rush times. Its also a pretty great place to go and kill time while youre waiting for a table at a bunch of the busier restaurants on that block. Recommend checking it out.

I like the vibe but man...the people who work there did not seem happy. I hate writing that because perhaps they were just having an off day but it seems like the trend. It goes with the stylish downtown coffee shop vibe though...oh how brooding and mysterious! Also they have been out of granola 2/3 times I have tried to go there to have coffee and a yogurt parfait.

The vibes at this coffee shop are unlike any other. The mellow hip hop playing in the background with the minimalist and vintage design make for easy going conversations and a productive work period possible here.The coffee and the toast are delicious, but on the pricier side. Come here often though, so definitely worth the trip.

I was even surprised when I also ordered an iced version of their latte, lately iced coffee has been a disappointment to me at other joints, but this place absolutely surprised me.They have honey, sugar, and simple syrup for you to sweeten to your preference so everyone is satisfied.

EVERYTHING IS GOOD. Im serious.*UpdateI went to this cafe the next day because I loved it so much as you can see above, but this time I had to give -1 star. Well I ordered chai and croissant. The croissant seemed to have something red on it so I asked a woman if it was strawberry-flavored or something. I asked politely, is it strawberry croissant? even with a smile. Then after 0.5 second, she just answered RASPBERRY. I thought that was a bit rude? Maybe at least she could look at me or say no its raspberry...? Its not a big big deal and thats why Im still giving 4 stars here. But hey that was not a good experience to have in early morning.

Flat white (or latte in USA) is excellent: hot not scalding, nice crema on top and medium strength. Counter service is pleasant & efficient. Relaxed, casual atmosphere with excellent free wifi and plenty of comfortable seating options. Also a clean & free bathroom. What more could be asked for?

Bourbon vanilla latte is great! Back room has comfy chairs and a home lounge room feel. Also high tables and smaller tables by the windows for smaller groups.

Coffee and tea is pretty good. It’s an odd set up to order when the line gets long. Plenty of seating in the back which is nice. Staff is friendly enough.

The coffee is okay but overpriced. The main issue is that we politely asked them to turn the music down (loud pop/rap music on a sunday night) and they flat out said no. Would not come again!

Drip coffee was decent. The salted caramel latte was great, BUT the service and attitude of the baristas and counter people were awful. The people you interact with at any business are the face and vibe of that business, and this one is represented awfully! There’s a pretty white female working mornings there that told me I was ridiculous and to go back to where I came from! I almost filed a police report for a hate crime! I’m a US Soldier, 2 time Iraq war veteran, and a Purple Heart recipient and I’m from here mind you! (Sounds like a great morning news story huh). I have never been more offended in my life! There’s also a young gentlemen (White) working mornings who is quite rude himself. (The rest of the staff are decent but you can tell everyone there seems to hate their life and job, which makes it uncomfortable for customers. I also happened to be with my girlfriend who is the editor of the travel section for Elle magazine, she was furious! We have both eaten at Johns “Sweet Chick” and grabbed coffee often at ludlow (right next door) and that will never happen again! It is 5:30pm, Friday. I live in neighborhood 2 blocks from Ludlow and just wanted to have Matcha Latte. Waitress, she got idea I should have it with no little Foam Flower on a top of Matcha Latte. When I asked for it, answer was: This is not requirement, you have all components in! And it was only me at that moment at the counter. Not stressed or in hurry situation at all. So I asked money back. Manager came in 2min later, and he as well supported Waitress in her choice not to make Foam Flower and criticize me how I should not ask money back. I would say, at the end, I really didnt ask money back because of Foam Flower, but because of attitude of waitress.

Drip tasted like rubber due to the dark roasted beans - style Starbucks. The service is non existing and the baristas not interested in us or the product served. Working very slowly (with three people) but nobody said hello or goodbuy. It was dirty and empty cups and plates on the tables. A pity, cause a good location, nice interior and good toast.

I stopped by here after I arrived in the city and had an hour to kill before meeting up with my host, which was a good choice. Very chill environment and friendly staff. I ended up trying a tumeric mocha on the suggestion of one of the baristas, and was surprised at how much I enjoyed it.

Two out of the three times I’ve visited this place the person at the register has given me an awful attitude. The coffee is great though so it’s worth it.

Worst matcha latte Ive ever had. just clumps of matcha everywhere. youre supposed to sift it in and whisk it but they clearly dont know this. its 2019 you should know how to make a matcha latte!! $5.50 for this trash!!
