Such a comfortable place to have a quick coffee. My latte comes with a heart. It has been a while for this over due review. I was here during afternoon time for a meeting and this place is perfect. There are plenty of seat and we took one of those wood tables. There are also outdoor seating which is great if only in one of the European countries.Getting only latte really limits this review but they do serve some light meal as well as pastries. I would love to come back for more.Service is wonderful. Dont think they rush you if you work here.

Excellent food, terrible service. Outside seating but super full and slow even at 10:30am on a Saturday. The green baked eggs were excellent and the avocado smash was quite good. A friend had the breakfast bowl and he said it was excellent and seemingly healthy. Outside seating is nice in summer and its on a great street for people watching. The iced coffee is excellent and the prices are very reasonable.

Love his little Aussie stop! The nicest people with a grateful posture and happy you are there. We ended up talking to our waitress for about 20 mins and it felt like we were getting coffee with an old friend. Now let’s talk about the food!! If you like a lot of flavor and fresh food, look no further. This is a place that will satisfy all your taste buds.

Love this place. Probably the prettiest of all the BSL locations. The bacon and egg on brioche is amazing. Great iced lattes and flat whites. Their new summer menu is awesome too - I recommend the chicken salad sandwich - its made with kewpie mayo and is out of this world. There are vegan options too. They use Prana chai for their chai and its fantastic. People are friendly too

Went here this morning to get some coffee and a snack for breakfast. The menu tablet you use to order was a bit laggy, making it hard to use - it also takes up time because you can’t see the whole menu all at once. I ordered an iced chai latte and an oatmeal bowl with fruit. The latte was good, the oatmeal took about 15 minutes to come out and when it did didn’t have any of the fruit. It also had about an inch of milk on top of it. After sending it back, it returned with less milk and the fruit. Upon eating it I realized it was actually warmed overnight oats and not oatmeal, and it looked very different from the picture advertised as well. I would include a photo if I could, but after $20 just for an iced latte and a bowl of oats with fruit I was pretty underwhelmed.

Nutricious and delicious, good high quality breakfast foods, thats beautiful to boot. Comfortable outdoor seating in the shade. This place just does all the little things right. The waitress, with an Australian accent appropriate for this Australian restaurant chain, was friendly and quick and there was zero pressure to leave or even hurry. Great place for a day thats easy like Sunday morning

$48 for breakfast for two in what I learned was called a “brekkie.” I had never heard that but my friend, who had been to Britain, knew the term. The “full breakfast” means business! The bacon was delicious. The poached eggs looked so much like fresh mozzarella! The store is certainly well-branded, with recognizable colors and decor wherever you pass one. I enjoyed my breakfast and the coffee was good but I cannot tell what is different. What makes this Australian? Regardless, the food was great. There is ample seating outside, gated from the sidewalk.

Maybe the best coffee I’ve had in NYC! I ordered an almond Milk cappuccino and it was amazing. The environment is adorable, with succulents everywhere. I went on a Tuesday morning and surprisingly, the shop was pretty empty. If you go on a weekend, go early because this shop is popular and gets really crowded.

If you go during brunch on the weekend, expect a wait for a seat inside. Balthazar toast and latte was great. My friends avocado toast with poached eggs was also very good. Unfortunately they were so busy that the waitress forgot about us sitting outside in the 25F morning. She apologized when I went in to find her, which I appreciate but I shouldnt have had to repeatedly ask to pay my bill. Also, everyone around seemed to be there to take photos of their coffee in a cone for Instagram.

Stopped in for a quick coffee with friends. They were on their way out of the country so we stopped for a quick moment to catch up. The service was friendly and they were accommodating despite us having two large luggage bags. The only downfall which wasn’t a problem for us is that they stop serving food pretty early.

Ji
Review №38

Sooo pricey. And why do Americans (and maybe Australians in this case) make matcha latte out of (often sickeningly) SWEETENED powder?? This is just wrong. If someone wants to overshadow the natural taste of matcha with sugar they can help themselves, but don’t make sweetened the default state. After obtaining this information I opted for the oolong, which probably didn’t worth $7 but it was at least acceptable.

Newish location of this growing chain of Australian-inspired brunch food. Nice inside and delicious as always. All about supporting neighborhood businesses. But when you pay $$$ (Add-on $4 for a ramekin of avocado)for a breakfast sandwich that has 2 strips of bacon (over cooked), one egg, and a sad slice of “all year around” tomato (btw, tomatoes are currently in season!), on soggy brioche, it is quite disappointing.
