Definately a unique cozy place, specializing in chocolate and salt, where we can find a great variety of chocolates from all over the world, as well as different types of cocoa beans and different darkness percentage. Worth to mention their Sirene pure 100% cocoa bar.As for the salt, they have all kind of salts you can imagine, they even have delicious salted snacks such as Black truffle salted almonds. And some amazing ice cream from Venice Beach, CA, among other things. Worth to stop by!

Really fun hidden gem of a shop, with the most fascinating combo of salts, bitters, and chocolate goods!! Genius business idea. Offers a few samplings of chocolate and popcorn with truffle salt usually. Very nice staff. Small space but not crowded! Worth popping in next time you’re on Hudson in West village.

I came there because of the chocolate. They truly have the best selection of hand crafted bean-to-bar chocolate, from the local brands, other states, Canada, Europe.. The manager of the shop was really nice and passionate, adviced me which of them I would like the most based on my preferences

I believe some founding father had a quote about chocolate and it being evidence that God loves us wants us to be happy. Thats not important, but it prefaces my feelings on The Meadow.Ive been to The Meadow in Portland, and this was very similar. They focused on chocolate, artisan salt, and aromatic bitters. A real upper-crust establishment. I enjoy that, but really, Im there for the chocolate and not much else.It should come as no surprise, then, that The Meadow is right up my alley. I enjoy chocolate more than I have any business. Being from Utah, we have lots of chocolate at our fingertips from Caputos and their distribution company, A Priori. The Meadow had a nice selection of chocolate that is harder to find, and that was awesome. There were a couple bars Id wanted to try, and a few I knew nothing about. There were a number of offerings from New York, state and city, as well. The manager we spoke to here was knowledgeable and passionate. I would love to return when I have the opportunity.

Every time I am in NYC, I try to stop by The Meadow. Everyone NEEDS to try their bitters and get an artisanal selection of salt and some fab chocolate and maybe a few fresh flowers too! Gorgeous shop—fills my heart with so much more than their store’s square footage! I have maybe 30 bitters from them and I’m definitely a better person for it! Leave room in your luggage, car or bag to carry home some deliciousness from The Meadow!

Staff knows pretty much everything about the chocolate and bitters they sell. The latter of which they have an absolutely massive selection. My only complaint is that it’s very expensive, but then again it is craft/artisanal chocolates. Just keep that in mind before coming here for something common.

Im not aware of a place in NYC with a better selection of artisan chocolate. The guys there are great as well. I recently brought my sister there. She is from out of state and doesnt get into NY a lot. I wanted badly to introduce her to the store and its wall of chocolate. We ended up there at just past closing. I was upset as we had come so far and they were closed. However, we were let in and treated with patience even as we got caught up browsing the selection and the minutes ticked away. Great store. Great staff! Thank you!

Do not leave without buying a beautiful bar of chocolate, a crazy salt youve never heard of, a taste of the fresh chocolate being churned in the back, and as much truffle popcorn as you can stuff into your face. Also, the staff is just about the friendliest, funnest, and salt-wisdomiest youll ever find, so be sure to chat them up.

Amazing store. Unbelievable that a store can exist by selling only boosters, chocolate, flowers and salt. It is one of the most beautiful shops I have seen. Definitely with the largest collection of bitters of any kind and also quite impressive chocolate bar collection of almost any kind you can think of. The wild flowers make this shop really uniquely designed.

Ha. The Meadow - what can be said that isnt summed up by its self-description? The best source for sea salt, gourmet salt, dark chocolate, salt blocks, and cocktail bitters! So idiosyncratic, so specific, so wonderfully silly, yet it is manages to do this without being (too) pretentious. They really do care about their salt and chocolate, and it will change your mind about both substances. A great place to treat yourself to an incredibly delicious bar of chocolate, or to buy an unexpected gift for someone.
