I went for a class with my niece and my sister in law. Claudia was really nice, but I was disappointed on average: we had 2 bags of chocolate, the first one to draw what we wanted like on the picture, the 2nd one to fill molds. The class ended after 1 hour, we didnt learn any technics, we couldnt pick the chocolate (dark or milk), and we didnt have any glitter or filling preparation like it appears on the video. I also tried to contact them several times because I paid for 3 adults instead of 2+1 kid but they didnt call me back and I havent got the money back.

My friend gave me a drop dead delicious brownie from this place for my birthday. In search of that wonderful feeling the brownie gave me that day, I ventured to this place in search of the much missed brownie. Stopped by the store with a wonderful assortment of chocolate goods displayed all throughout the store. My colleagues and I were the only ones in the store at the time and the man whom I assume is the owner behind the counter seemed startelled by our presence - didnt even say anything to welcome us to the store. As much as I would like to view the chocolate display all throughout the store, I headed to the counter asking about the brownie I desire to seek. The guy while leaning on the counter with one arm and another on his hip proceeded to mumble to me it is not available today. Proceeded to do the exact same thing to my colleague when she confirms if the brownie I asked about is the same one on the menu board. Didnt even offer an alternative to the brownies, or simple follow up response of when the product will be in stock.Sorry, to be a bothered with request for your products. I will take my business to the cupcake store next door

I came here with my friend with a gilt city voucher for the high tea. The service was great, very attentive and the staff were very nice. The high tea is pretty pricey but you do get a lot food: a selection of 3 chocolates, a cranberry scone, 3 types of tea sandwiches, and 3 kinds of fruits plus pretzels for the chocolate fondue. You also get a pot of harney and sons tea and a glass of sparkling wine. The chocolates were the best, tasty and high quality. The only criticism I have is that I wish the tea selection was better and the tea would not be teabags but loose leaf tea.

Very nice place to take chocolate making classes. Chose class where they make truffel bonbons - its much more interesting. You will not be rushed and tea or wine are offered to start with

Had a fun time at a chocolate making class here. Learned a little about different types of chocolate and got to mess around with different spices/toppings and make our own chocolates to bring home. We left with enough chocolate to last us a year. Originally had our class canceled but the owner accommodated us with another class, which we appreciated.

I went to this place because of the high ratings, and stayed because it was pouring outside. Ironically for a chocolate manufacturer they use little to no chocolate in their products. The pralines were mainly creamy filling, which wasnt really that good, and the hot chocolate was pretty much a thick layer of white foam, a medium layer of white milk, and thin bottom layer of very sweet silver milk. They use so little chocolate that even the chocolate layer didnt taste or look like chocolate! Being used to thick chocolate this is a huge disappointment, but even with an open mind I found nothing enjoyable about the drink: any random chocolate milk from the supermarket will have a stronger flavor. The important question is, was the chocolate itself bad? I dont know, I couldnt find it.

My family and I took a chocolate-making class with Aditi this past weekend and had such a wonderful time. She is incredibly patient with small children, and generous with her time and chocolate techniques! What a special treat. Aditi is a wonderful artisan and entrepreneur! Highly recommend for parties and smaller groups.

The most overpriced food item Ive ever seen in my life. Each chocolate truffle is, at most, 1/3 oz. (ranging in volume from one to two times the size of a peanut M&M) and is priced at about $3 a piece. So, that is about $150 per pound. I was caught by surprise, as I walked into this place on a lark. First, man, post the darn prices! You can do so elegantly with a little stand and place card in it. My instinct tells me is that they take the attitude that if you have to ask, then you cant afford it. Well, guess Im guilty! Good for you, Tache, on your chocolates for the rich! These tiny truffles, upon first glance, appeared to be artisanal, as labeled. And, yes, once I tasted them, they lived up to their artisan label, but come on, at half the price, Tache can still draw an aficionados appreciation without making a schmuck like me feel inferior.Anyhow, I picked out 13 different pieces for me and my relatives to share as we walked the neighborhood and I was sticker-shocked upon seeing the nearly $40 tab for a pouch of candy (in a pink box) as light as a regular-sized bag of M&Ms. Well, I would have been embarrassed (Shame on me for my pride) to have changed my mind once the worker packed them and charged me. Thank you, Tache, for making me feel unworthy of your product. Whats sickening is that theyll read this and think, Good riddance to the cheap miser. Well, my wife and I are very willing to spend on a fine, culinary experience. We are never into quantity over quality, but this place takes the quality-to-quantity ratio to an extreme. Refrain from patronizing this establishment until they lower the oz. weight of their artisanal chocolate from platinum to gold.

We might have been there on an off day because I am actually surprised to see such good reviews of this place. We had a pulsd deal for the high tea and all four of us were a bit dissatisfied, even having paid a discounted price. To begin with, we were locked out of the place for the first 30 minutes of our reservation, but Ill chalk that up to a miscommunication and not consider that as part of why we had a dissatisfactory experience. The normal price for high tea is $50/person, which is insane markup considering what you get. Since the bathroom is in the kitchen, I got to see the ingredients they were using, which included wonder-bread-esq white bread and grocery store bought scones. The only truly homemade part of the high tea was some chocolate caramels and chocolate dipping sauce. For $50, this kind of shocked me. The girl who served us was sweet but they were way understaffed so any time we asked for something, it took a really long time to get it. Overall I would say, while the workers are nice and the chocolate good, its a bit of an unprofessional place with low quality food. Ive been to much better places for lower prices and better ambiance in the city.

One of the great joys of living in New York City is walking down a small street and stumbling upon a hidden gem. Such was the case when I happened upon Tache, an intimate and charming cafe in LES that specializes in herbal teas from around the world, fresh made gelato and their crown gem, handmade artisan chocolate treats. Whether were talking Yuzu infused truffles with sansho or dark chocolate with a sprinkle of fresh sea salt, there is no shortage to the originality and flavor bursting from these delicious works of art. Throw in some friendly wait staff, a comfortable area to either lounge or do work (free wifi) and you have one of the best, hidden spots in NYC to indulge in something special.Bottom Line: The owner takes serious pride in hand crafting her chocolate and it shows, the originality of some of her flavors will take your breath away and give Mast Brothers a run for their money as the most delicious homemade chocolate in NYC.Bonus Tip: They do kid friendly cooking classes on the weekends to teach you the fundamentals and intricacies that go into making chocolate.
