Bad experience.Terrible experience. Ordered on 12/11 and order not processed for over 1 wk. Then of course the shipping time would be late for the holiday that this gift was for. Called them and customer service was terrible. No accommodations and no effort to right the wrong. Super disappointed and will not return. Horrible experienceBtw- this review was sent in response to an email from them asking how my experience was, after they received it they sent an email back saying that they wont be publishing this on their website! That is why i took it upon myself to go ahead and post it here!!!

When I had an issue with customer service in the providence location, they called me right away and let me explain the situation. They also had the manager of the providence location call and debrief the situation as well as offer two free ice cream cones. To top that, Godiva cooperate sent me and apology letter and my own personal 6 piece box of chocolate. Godiva cooperate really went out of their way to help fix a mistake that they didn’t even cause. Best customer service I’ve seen in a while, even with the two people I spoke with on the phone.

I’m leaving one star only because that’s the least I can post. I placed an online order on 3/31 for my 93 year old mother in law’s birthday, thinking it would get to her by her birthday on 4/6. I didn’t receive a shipping notice so I called 4/4 and was told a label had been created and she would receive it by 4/6. My MIL has Alzheimer’s and lives 5 hours away, so I wanted to let her know to expect a package. I received shipping notice on 4/6. When I called again I was told I was “misinformed” and there’s nothing they can do but she should receive it by 4/9. I called again thinking I would cancel the order and was told it’s too late, even though the UPS tracking doesn’t show it’s been picked up. I’m extremely disappointed in the way this was handled, being lied to by a customer service employee, and no attempt to rectify the situation. Horrible customer service and I will NEVER spend another dime with Godiva!!

Godiva is running a promo of 25% off your purchase, so I placed an order for $230+tax online Saturday after I sent it through I realized I didnt get the 25% off. I called customer service they said someone from corporate would call me back Saturday or Sunday. No one called. I tried Monday, the person I got said there was nothing they could do I had to wait for s return call. Wednesday still no call back so I posted on their face book page, I got a quick response saying I had already received the discount & I should have paid $313, and an invoice was emailed to me. On opening the invoice attached to the email sent, it shows I should have paid $188. I pointed this out to the person who emailed me, no response back. This is a blatant bait and switch money grab followed by a stonewall from CORPORATE. At this point I want to return my purchases to godiva and give either fruit baskets or local bakery cookies. I really feel they are being intentionally deceptive, buyer beware.

1/10/2020 - Since Godiva wont accept returns, I refused the delivery from UPS. I finally got my money credited back to my account.Why wont you accept unopened return and yet accepts a refused delivery back from UPS??12.23.19 - update - I forgot to mention, I also dispute the charges with American Express. Although the charge has yet to hit my account, AmEx has already setup monitoring on my account waiting for this charge to be disputed.Also Costco has the same 16 pieces for $9.99 and 27 pieces for $14.99Much cheaper then Godiva.As for me, I have decided never to buy Godiva again.12.23.19 - I placed a couple of orders with Godiva as Christmas gifts for my clients. Their website guarantee with free 2 day air delivery by December 24. I checked the order tracking today and it shows delivery by end of day 12/26.When I called to speak to Godiva Customer Service, basically I was told I am incorrect (short of lies, I am telling) and their website wont show as such.I called back to speak to a supervisor and basically that got blocked as well, so I wasnt able to file a complaint.I called their Business Account line, basically the same.. the guy admitted there isnt a department that handles complaints.Godiva can not be trusted.. They have just lost a customer.
