Omg really good desserts and chocolates! Everything is vegan! It is mostly a chocolate shop with a small variety of cakes, cookies, macaroons, and ice cream (seasonal). We bought: pumpkin cupcakes, cinnamon crumb cake, 6 macaroons, a chocolate bar, and box of chocolate covered caramels and a chocolate bar, and didnt even come close to scratching the surface of the variety of items. Everything was equally delicious and see many future trips to try 1 of everything!

Had a strong craving for macarons and decided to head here with my bf. we got 12 for 30$, and they had 11 seasonal flavors for summer. i cant remember all of the names but the mocha, strawberry and vanilla were great. the lavender/floral and lemon one were kinda bad. especially the lavender one i felt like i just took a bite out of a flower it was gross. also got 2 of their chocolates and the fudge was amazing especially since it is all vegan. plus had a great conversation with the employee. only one can work in the store at a time with a party at a time so a line can form. plus they close the shop down for lunch but reopen once the employees are available. great precaution! would come bak for the strawberry but iv had better non vegan macarons. still had a great experience coming here :)

Hello, I am *addicted* to this place! The treats are TO DIE FOR. I’ve been frequenting Confectionery! for a couple of years now, buying everything from seasonal macarons and frozen non-dairy ice creams on my way home from work to placing a hefty order of chocolate bark and caramel candies for my 50th birthday party—enough to share with all my friends! A fantastic gem of a place with wonderful service and so many yummy things to choose from. Highly recommended!

Halloween treat !. I saw some tasty looking vegan caramels covered in chocolate on their Instagram and I live a couple blocks away so decided to stop by on Halloween . I got the Caramel Apple flavor and a Strawberry Balsamic I believe the other was . Delicious little treats and a box of them would make a great stocking stuffer for someone at end of year . But they are expensive ! $5 for 2 caramels , still its a special day so I thought I would treat myself . Recommended .

Ive served their macarons to vegans and non-vegans alike, and everyone loves them. And the fudge is out of this world! (And non-dairy fudge isnt easy to find!) Really cozy shop in East Village stocking macarons and chocolates. I was really there for the chocolates but had to pick up some macarons because the flavors sounded so enticing. The macarons are exquisite! Very flavorful, well-made and beautiful. They are worth a special visit. For the chocolates, note that they seem to only stock mostly chocolate coated caramels and hard chocolates (no ganaches) in the display. My favorite is the Vandana Shiva with its subtle delicate Cinnamon flavor and just a hint of heat from the chili. The barks are huge (as big as my face) and def worth the price. The chocolate used is pretty intense in taste (imo) and given their exciting flavor combinations and liberal use of salt (can afford to reduce) you are less likely to overeat them so they will last a while and are actually really affordable for the kind of quality you get. I love how the shelves are so well-stocked and the lady at the shop was so friendly, helpful and inviting. I cant wait to visit them again.

I love Confectionery so, so much. Their walnut chocolate chip cookies, macaroons, peanut butter caramel bar, tahini meltaways, and maple pecan caramels are the absolute best. Always amazing customer service, and always standing on the side of justice (follow their IG). Some things are a little pricey, but totally worth it knowing that everything is lovingly made by hand using ethically sourced ingredients, and their workers are treated well. The only way I could love this place more would be if they figured out a way to take out the calories.

I can’t even tell you in words how good these macarons are. If you gave them to someone as a gift, they would never know that they’re vegan. Furthermore, they’re just crazy good. The flavors offered are unique and well done. When I went, I tried the Pink Peppercorn Grapefruit, a Coffee/Latte flavor, a Cookies N’ Cream, and a flowery jasmine macaron. They were light, well flavored, beautiful to look at, and fairly priced for a fantastic vegan macaron. I could not recommend this place more! I have also heard that they do vegan croissants but that they sell out almost immediately, so that will be my next thing to try!

I wonder if most of the reviewers have actually had a non-vegan macaroon. The vegan ones this shop sells are nothing like actual macaroons. The texture bordered on soggy and the filling left a very weird taste in my mouth. I threw it out after one bite. I don’t know what I was expecting. A classic macaroon has an egg white base. If you’re willing to shell out $3 and don’t mind that they’re nothing like actual macaroons, then by all means, go for it.

Ok. So I’m not even a chocolate person. I eat if from time to time, but I’m more of a tiramisu and coffee cake kinda human usually. (You will see this if you read my other reviews lol)But, Confectionary brings out a different side of me. Why? Because these chocolates are delicate, unique, special, beautiful, hand-crafted, organic, fair trade, vegan, and justW O Wthe first time I had Lagusta’s chocolates was in 2013 in New Paltz and my mind (& tastebuds) were floored. The turtle bar, a dainty perfectly balanced caramel, the hot chocolate bomb (idk the name of this but you put it in a giant mug and pour hot soy milk (organic, unsweetened, plain) over it, the chocolate ball melts and inside is a glorious surprise. Just buy it.Any how, this place is adorable with funky fun bright coloured lettering for all signage and always the most incredibly kind and helpful staff to boot. And, generally at least 3-5 precious furry friends will walk by for you to gawk at out the window while you consume heaven.Basically if you like any kind of sugary delight, go to confectionary, get a chocolate or seven and maybe a macaron, if you’re feeling flush pay it forward on the mitzvah wall and then take a chocolate or cookie to share the love with a friend.Whatever you do, buy a turtle bar.(Unless you’re allergic)Thank me later.
