John’s Antique Shop is a true New York City gem - the kind of magical place that is near impossible to find nowadays, and we are blessed to have it on the upper west side. I have frequented John’s for the last five years as part of my weekend routine, and even used the shop as the setting for the first date with my girlfriend (I’m pretty sure it was her experience at John’s that sold her on me ; )John himself is the kind of proprietor that makes you feel not only welcomed, but connected to a community that he loves. Always friendly and helpful, John is in his element and doing what he loves. Proprietor refuses to mask up in pandemic times.When my wife explained that her father had just passed away from COVID, his response was, yeah, well I had a rough morning.Would not recommend this establish for humans, or anyone who cares about humans.

John buys whole house estates. Hes got an amazing selection of items. Worth stopping by to browse.

Nice place with knowledgeable staff - they know their inventory well and care about their pieces. Its always worth taking a lap because youll never know what youll find. Theyre happy to look out for pieces youre interested in as well.

Nice shop, not entirely unreasonable prices.

Excellent variety; its always a joy to dally away time in this shop out of time. They offer fair prices, both as sellers and buyers [of estates]. John has an excellent eye.

I just love this store, Mr Koch has a very wide variety of antiques from a pin to an anchor all at good prices and he aims to please be his customers.

This is a lovely and charming antique shop in a great location that has items for everyone including furniture and beautiful antique objects of art that are affordable. It was a pleasure seeing all the beautiful art objects and meeting John Koch.

One of a dying collection of antique shops in the Upper West Side. Good. Nothing I found special though.
