Great place to get retro and new video games and consoles. They also sell DVDs and Blu-ray disks. I love to go there when I can to see if they have any games I dont have. The prices are very reasonable. Employees are welcoming and start a short conversation while checking out. Its a great place to go check out if youre into that kind of stuff.

Great place to by games and movies and to just have a great time going on and seeing what they currently have on their shelves, seriously in my opinion I think everyone should go there.

I want to review this masterpiece of a store because its a very gnarly place.First off the selections of games throughout the store are top notch. Tons of titles from vintage gaming to newer systems. Not only in game form, but in console and accessory forms as well. Second, the price are most excellent. Most everything is at a buyers price. Unfortunitly alot of store owners are clowns these days actually go off eBay prices for their inventory. Not Fames For Gold. They go with a prices that make you want to whip out your wallet. Third and lastly, all employees there may not be knowledgeable in everything. Understandable, not everyone can be. We arent aliens or robots (even though thatd be cool), so what Games For Gold does is have employees that are rich in knowledge in certain areas. Somebody may have brain in Super Nintendo, where another may have great brain power in movies. Others may be able to chit chat about accessories. It just super neat-o to have employees that are deverse in different areas of the business all working together.The only downfall to the store (which is very understandable to as of why) is that their trade in values arent ones that make you smile. However, to get the better prices on the items you want, rather then bend you over the counter and pork you hard with eBay prices, you have to be willing to accept the mini flaw to get the best.So with that said, Ive lived in New Bedford, MA for 4 years now and Im an avid collector of weird kickass toys, old school awesome video games/accessories, rare and fun VHS, and odd #1 comic book titles. With that said, go to Games for Gold if youre a geek like me. Youll be happy you did!4 Google Stars out of 5!!!!

Amazing store! Good prices and really good employees that actually care about the product. The owner should be proud of his employees. They are awesome and made great recommendations to seasoned gamers. I also liked how they treated other customers on the phone as well as the connection this store has with the community. Really awesome stuff. We left with like $200 worth of games. Possibly the best retro store in Massachusetts and Ive been to many. Wish I lived a little closer but definitely worth the 40 minute drive.

This is quit the place with so much to offer for gamers. I went in to check it out and make a purchase and glad I did. They have a nice inventory or games and consoles to choose from and the staff are friendly too!

As big as if not bigger in store selection of games and systems than GameStop and at a better price. No membership required to get that better price either. Not sure what their trade-in values are like but my family doesnt get rid of games often. Staff is nice to deal with too. Just a couple average guys who look like gamers.

Wow! Im not sure this is the same game store that was at this location back in the 90s when I was a kid but if it is do everything possible to keep it open! This place brings back memories! I havent been here since like 98 but I hope to visit them again sometime soon!

Horrible trade-in value and service. Consistently fishing for dumb reasons to not buy your items like the rubber parts on the controller, which are replaceable, are falling off. Go to GameStop if you want to sell your stuff.

This place has good and great games to choose. Some times they have games that are still in good conditions. They also let you trade games for cash.Today your still able to see awesome games there.

Have great deals here and have thousands of DVDs and theyre all $1 or $2 which still blows my mind and its actually good movies too like the Dark Knight series and stuff like that its not like typical dollar store movies

Ive been going there since the day the opened, i live just a minute away so its convenient, and i have to say they are deffinatly the best game store around here hands down. They have almost anything you want from any era of games, the people are awesome and know exactly what they are talking about and the prices are great. Also they are just really good people. These guys were so friendly and professional. I bought an N64 system with 4 games. Not only did they give me a discount but they threw in a free game too. You can tell they appriciate the business you give them and they make sure you get your moneys worth. Very professional and very friendly i was highly impressed with my visit. I met them at the flea market when they sold me a 3ds at an unbeatable price and when they gabe me thier card i desided to give the store a visit. I was not disappointed. Ive never felt so much satisfaction leaving a store. If youre a gamer i highly recommend this place
