Super great service, yummy food, priced about $12 per person plus a drink. $50 for 2 ppl after tip. The piece of pie to go though looked like apple crumble casserole, weird but okay...kinda wanted a good piece of pie. Receipt shows chess pie. But it was Apple. Dont go for the biscuits, not the best. Would still come back for that killer French toast though.Each table has its own outlet, so if youre a tourist then charge and go! Were local, we just try different diners every 2 weeks for fun.
We actually visited this soda shop twice in our five day trip to Nashville! The service is so great and the prices are amazing. The breakfast potatoes are my favorite! My boyfriend got the Nashville chicken biscuits and he wasn’t the biggest fan but it was alright. The atmosphere is awesome and I wish there was a place like this where I live! They also have live music on the weekends on their little stage which is great. They also have a parking lot which is a relief. You can order things to go as well from the to go window outside! I definitely recommend this place to anyone going to Nashville for all day breakfast without a wait.
Thick hamburgers and the crinkliest fries Ive ever seen. Besides being very noisy, this was a pleasant experience for both my wife and myself. We ordered hamburgers. The thick burgers came out open-faced, hot and fresh. While I liked my burger, my wife thought her party was too thick and the bun too thin. We shared a hot fudge brownie sundae - highly recommended.The staff here were very friendly and nice. Our waitress had no problem with customizations to my burger and sundae. Well be back again.
Great place away from the crowds of downtown for good, down home country cooking. The design is true to the soda fountain of days gone by. Eric took great care of us while we were there. Parking is available on site, but it quite limited. Meter spaces/public parking is available nearby if needed.Only down side - ordered the Friday/Saturday special - Catfish and hush puppies. Im fairly certain there is no way the the 2 - as in one - two, pieces of Catfish could be any smaller. Either purchase larger ones or put at least 3 on the plate.
As a 30 year Navy guy, you can imagine the places Ive traveled and restaurants Ive visited. Im visiting for the week for new job. Im very impressed with Elliston Place Soda Shop. My first meal was simple chicken tenders Nashville Hot and fries followed by a Nutter Butter milkshake. All three were PREFECT. The staff was what I expected...Nashville TN friendly. Guess I made the right choice in job and new move here next year. Well done.
I had such a great experience in this restaurant today. The staff was incredibly friendly and personable! Such a great energy in there! Not to mention-- the BISCUITS! AMAZING! I enjoyed my time there as well as the food! I will be returning with family and friends! Thank you for such a wonderful time.
I was amazed when I ate here. The food is off the chain! The friendless of the staff and the cleanliness of this restaurant is unsurpassed. If you’re ever in Nashville, you need to eat here. You will not be disappointed!
Wow! I had an absolute great experience. The music was awesome and I was grooving and the hot dog was the best ever I also had cucumber and onion it was marvelous. My son enjoyed his burger greatly and his milkshake. I will return. I was so comfy and leadership walks around checking on you, the wait staff is top notch! Will return.
I ate at the old place quite regularly. I love the look of the place and the music is great. However the food has changed. I use to order turnip greens and green beans all the time. Now theyve changed the way they cook them. Theyre adding vinegar to both of them. Im not a big fan of vinegar. Now when I want a meat & 3, I will be finding another one.
This soda shop restaurant has been here since 1939. They lost their lease and moved right next door with a nice expansion. I like the meat & 3, an entree with a choice of a dozen vegetables. Regular entrees are excellent fried chicken, turkey and dressing and pot roast. Country sides like mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans, squash casserole, collard greens are popular. The pies are all home made and exceptional especially lemon ice box pie and fruit pies. The house made milk shakes are large and delicious.
This is my first time here since it has moved into the new place. So glad the Soda Shop is in better condition now. The restaurant was very clean and the food was very good. There was also a small stage with a guest performer who was amazing!
Let me just say that after I paid over $15.00 for a plate of nachos downtown, I was very happily surprised that we had lunch for 2 for under $25.00. I had the chicken and dumplings with 3 sides and my wife had fried chicken with 3 sides. There was definitely no room for dessert. Which is sad because they all looked great. Our server was very friendly and always knew when to stop at the table to check on us. Great place!!!
Back open and 10 times better! I am so glad they expanded into their new site and now have much more seating. Food has been amazing and I have been at least 5 times since they opened. Trying to taste or try something different on the menu, as I go each time. If you order a burger and such- that is cooked to order, it will take a bit more time than ordering from one of the daily specials. Either way, it is a win-win. I have not been able to try any pies (can you say too full from eating), but I hear they are amazing from those with me, who did. Ms. Linda can sure make a mess-o-pies. Maybe I will just start with a pie one day and go from there (isnt there a saying about that somewhere). The staff has been great and very attentive to keeping up with everyone. I will admit, it was a bit rough on day one, opening day, but they have rebounded with more staff and got things going right after that initial opening. Look forward to many more visits; while I may even have to walk off some extra pounds from the enjoyment of their delicious shakes! No complaint here though.

Stopped in for dessert. Great throwback atmosphere, friendly employees, clean.Had Pecan Pie with ice cream and a Shake. They were both great! A must for everyone to visit.
Burger was great! Fries were nothing to right home about, Chocolate Malt was superb and nice thickness.Ambiance was great, and would defibrillator go back!
This is like stepping back in time. Great selection of diner foods and premium ice creams. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. Music from the 50s was a welcomed addition. The only problem is this diner is not in my hometown. Worth coming back to Nashville!
The new place sparkled with red and white tile. Lunch was good. I especially liked the biscuits and the big slices of pie. Parking is to the left of the building.
Loved the ambiance of the place, the classic feel is extremely unique. The food was delicious as always, and the service was great. Definitely a place you want to experience if you live here or if your a visitor.
I love this place. Friendly service, very retro, fun, and true to its roots. That said, I do not recommend the burgers. They have an odd unpleasant taste as if something is mixed into the meat. Was really looking forward to the burger and was surprised by this. In the future, I will still go there but avoid the burgers. Fries and onion rings are great! Im sure most of the menu is also great. I applaud the work done at this new location to recreate the unique vibe of the original.
Love the beautiful renovation of the soda shoppe! I certainly want this restaurant to succeed and stay open.I would like to submit some suggestions. Please offer real hand-cut FF.Also, the dressing needs improving. The cranberry sauce was homemade, but very bitter and had an orange taste to it. I could not eat it, but others might like it.The hamburger also needs some work; very bland, nothing to get excited about. Definitely needs improving.I hope these suggestions will be taken in a positive way so customers will keep returning.Thank you.
Ordered fish, white beans, fish was the 2pc size for a kid very small ask for extra piece due fish pieces being so small was told cannot just cook 1 piece fish would have to order an extra order (very disappointed) also white beans had no seasoning very bland wife had chicken dressing that was too mushy not good but must say desserts were excellent coconut pie, dont think will be going back. Back in the day their food was so good had that soul food taste
We visited last week while on a road trip. My kids loved the retro vibe and our food was great. We enjoyed the hamburgers, grilled cheese, and kids meal with chicken nuggets. We also enjoyed ice cream shakes. The banana pudding wasnt great, but everyone else was! Our waitress was great and the owner even showed us a Lego build of the diner! We will definitely return when in Nashville!
Always a treat! The meat and three was delicious with the biscuit - always the biscuit - and a malted coffee milkshake for dessert.A tiny disappointment was the lack of greens but the fried pork chop was so good, I couldnt hold it against the fine folks at Elliston Place.
This place was so great! The decor was impeccable. But even better oh, was the food. Everything was delicious. They even have vegetarian options! The staff was so friendly and welcoming. We highly recommend and get a milkshake!

Talk about an awesome experience! We were in the mood for something nostalgic for dinner, and what better place to do this than EPSS! We sat at the counter, and Amy served us. Shes amazing, and made it a real treat for us. Awesome to be able to knock back some wine, chill for a bit, and listen to some live music. Make sure you try their boozy milkshakes...INSANE!
SUCH good food! Always been a fan.Since the renovation, they dont serve as big of portions of side items as they used to, but its still lots of food (theyve added dense homemade biscuits to die for...comes with the meals)I know they need to save money somewhere... so not as much of the side items to take home, but you wont leave there without a full, full belly!

For some reason we haven’t been here in years. Retired and usually stay on our side of town. However we have now (re)found our favorite breakfast place and plan to check them out for lunch and dinner. Food is good, prices reasonable and service awesome. Food was quick. So much nicer then the 30+ minutes wait at the other breakfast chains.
Worse Burger Ever! Burger was dry and though. None of the garnishes were on burger as ordered, No lettuce, No tomato, No onion, or Pickles. No condiments. threw in Trash
We have been waiting on the reopening of the Elliston Place Soda Shop and we were not disappointed . Just being in the restaurant was fun . They truly captured the vibe of its identity. The service was excellent , even though it was noon on a Friday. The staff seemed to have a good grasp of the menu even though they were too young to appreciate its history. The food was great , orange cream soda and cherry phosphate were refreshing and it felt like seeing a great old friend !!! Looking forward to our return !!!

What a fun and happening place. We went in for some sundaes and let me tell you they were huge and delicious. Worthy of a stop. Live music as well that wasnt overpowering.

So disappointed in the soda shop. Service was good, employees were friendly but the food was scarce and/or not good. Very small portions of okra, roast beef and mashed potatoes. Mash potatoes were very small servings and and about the consistency of gravy. My wife meatloaf was terrible, very bland and looked like nothing but hamburger but not even tasty. Their hamburgers, and fries, deserts and stuff like that looked good so that’s what we will try if we ever go back.
They did a popup at my office building and charged $10 for a single hamburger patty with gravy and a single scoop of mashed potatoes. Still hungry and $10 lighter. Wont be doing that again.
Servers and food were great. Its nostalgic going to the soda shop for we native Nashvillians. The new place serves it up just like the old days. A local treasure all dressed up.
This is the perfect place to take your family. If you remember the old time soda shops this place will bring back all those memories. The food is excellent this was our second time since they reopened. You will love it.

Stopped in for dinner and the host was very open about it being opening week and the restaurant being understaffed. He warned us it would be about 45 minutes before being seated. We sat on the cute patio and ended up being seated within 20 minutes!Our server showed up promptly to take our order and the food came out hot and quickly. The fried chicken and green were both tasty, the tots and fries were hot and crispy, and the zinger sodas were unique and delicious!We will definitely be back to try the milkshakes and sundaes and we wish them the best finding more staff so they can fill the whole place.
Ordered online and my dinner order for five people was ready before I could drive the 6 blocks to pick it up! Everything tasted delicious and my order was totally correct. Its so easy to order online and pick up at the window.

This was the worst experience I have ever had with breakfast. This happened on 23 August 2021. We where in the place with 3 other couples that had there food. We ordered ours at 8:30 and around 9:00 another couple came in and ordered there food at which they got the same order we had 15 minutes later. During this time, no one checked on us. We had to go to the counter to get, help and refill our drinks. So, after 45 minutes of no food and seeing the other couple get there food, we decided to get up and leave, and come to find out, the staff was hiding the fact that they missed up on our order and would not notice. Thanks for the lous service.

Had a great lunch here while visiting Nashville. Everything came out piping hot and delicious. I had the chicken tenders with the EPSS special sauce and a cherry coke.Only downside is one of my party had the catfish and it was partially not cooked well enough.Service was great and the ladies working were awesome.
Stopped in for lunch today to check out the new place on a whim. Definitely better in terms of size than the original. The service was not great at all. I couldn’t even sit at the lunch counter when there were about 10 seats available. They were treating the lunch counter like a table for four. What’s the purpose of a lunch counter if you can’t walk in and sit at it? The food was mediocre at best and service was slow. For a place that used to be a Nashville staple they dropped the ball. Definitely will be a while before I go back, if at all. If you are wanting to try this place out I would look elsewhere for something better.
Food was Great, Delicious!! I had a grilled Pork Chop that was excellent with Squash Casserole and Turnip Greens and it was cooked with flavor and to perfection 🥰!! Will return again!!!!
This place is a hidden gem! Some of the (if not the) best milkshakes Ive ever had. The dreamsicle will take back to your childhood of chasing the neighborhood ice cream truck for the most prized orange push pop!! The staff is equally amazing and friendly. We felt right at home. If you want to see all the delicious things they are crafting setting at the counter is a must. Their shop sauce is delightful and goes well with nearly everything. The burgers are juicy and tasteful. Everything is so fresh, including the jalapeños which most places use pickled, not this place. Gives a perfect bite only to be soothed by a creamy shake. Environment is nostalgic and lively. We loved every minute!
Food was meh. Prices were expensive, particularly for the food being served. A lot of the sauces were either out of stock or my server kept forgetting them and had to be reminded by me numerous times during my visit. Overall, this place did not leave a good first impression. I dont recommend nor do I plan on returning.

I’ve tried this place twice now and it has to been the most unorganized, disgusting food I’ve ever had. The first time I thought maybe it was what I selected. The next day I tried something else with a dessert and it was the same outcome. They also left something out of my to go order both days and I caught it before I drove off. This was not the place for me and hope you have a better experience than I did. Good luck to you!

Elliston Place is a time jump into the past. With true unchanged retro decor. The patterns are that of a 1960s ice cream parlor. The flavor of the shakes and sundaes are at a 3.5 star status. You get more than enough per serving. Maybe enough to serve 2 people. Parking can be kinda difficult as with most places in nashville. You have to feed the meter!
Good food and service. Dont go there expecting the old Soda Shop. It has some of trappings of the original but some things are better left to the past.
Shared a great meat and three here with a friend visiting from Houston. Crew was extraordinarily friendly and provided us a great dining experience.
Nothing bad. Nothing great either. Under seasoned.. Reasonably priced. 5 meals with sodas and tips was under $85.
