There are so many unique gift items in this shop in addition to the mailing and shipping services. I purchased many Christmas and birthday gifts and just because gifts here. Love the variety of items. And the staff - they are the best! Very friendly and genuinely kind people.

Ive been a customer of Mail Works for over 8 years. Ive always found Mail Works to be a solidly reliable place to receive and ship mail and parcels from.With Bob now in charge for the past two years, it is even better.Bob is intelligent, friendly and helpful to all. He brings an added level of interpersonal sophistication to his communications and transactions with his customers.As an example of going the extra mile for their customers, about a year ago I dropped my keys in the store just before closing. I called and Bob stayed 30 minutes past closing just so I could retrieve my keys.They always get the job done well with the bonus of being a pleasure to visit.My personal view, for what it is worth: Other, the major corporate owned, pack & ship places may be fine too, but the more successful independent small businesses there are in America the better off the vast majority of us will be. Mail Works is just that sort of a local business.Btw Just read the anonymous neg review below. That was not Bob. Check out the Illinois Secretary of State site. Apparently, Bob formed his biz in Nov.of 2010 and all has been smooth since he has been there.

I just love this Place. It is very convenient for us to ship our daily routine. I go here from last 10 years and I have been receiving an excellent service from this place. This Place is managed by new management now and they are very friendly and helpful to you.This is the best neighborhood store you should count on.... Me and my neighbors we just love this place..

The staff is always helpful and kind, which goes a long way. They have all the same services as a Office Depot or UPS Store but without the big corporate feel. The gift items include Naper Nuts popcorn, which you cant not buy. Great rates on international mail!

I debated driving to the post office but opted for the closer option at Mail Works knowing Ill pay $1-$2 for my convenience. I was shocked when I was charged $7.16 for a 12 ounce, 9x12 envelope. I questioned the cost and asked for the flat rate envelope to help lower the cost. I was told that the flat rate is $9-something. A quick check with the post office shows that the postage on that mailing would be $3.29 and there is a flat rate envelope for $5.75. Im a small business owner and I like to frequent other small businesses, but a mark-up of greater than 100% is gouging so I wont be back. The one positive is that the man working the counter was pleasant in his dealings with the customers.

Have shipped 3 items in the past 90 days. Very easy work with, pleasant and much better than the ups store at 75th and Naper. Good people. Support your local business.

Been a customer for many years. Bob and his staff go the extra mile for the customer. No packaging, no problem. Not sure what is the cheapest way to get it there, no problem. They can help.
