Sparks was transparent about the difficulties finding the part, and diligent in scouring the US to find a replacement not covered in rust and decay.They rebuilt my exhaust system and engine supports. Bob and the Sparks team quickly diagnosed and fixed my vehicle at a ver7 competitive rate. They were transparent in the pricing and diagnoses. I especially liked the text updates with links to the diagnostic report and work break down.

Was having issue with transmission codes. They looked the trans and found that it was filled to much to what the spec is supposed to be. Been a week now have not had any problems. Very prefossinal and understanding.

They charged extra over Groupon price. Not sure if this is common.

Had a great experience with Sparks Complete Car Care. Had a check engine light and car was overheating. I searched Google for a shop nearby and Im glad I found them. Bob was super friendly and even gave me a ride back and forth to my house. They diagnosed the issue and repaired my car quickly. They were upfront and honest with their quotes and even added a couple free services with the repair. I highly recommend this shop and will be using their services again.

Nice, kind, but expensive. They wanted $275 to replace my battery. Ended up getting it at costco and putting it in myself for $170. They still charged me $55 for the diagnosis, but still saved like $60.Yeah, I know how an economy works. No one asked you to do it for free.

Never took my car somewhere and spent almost $2000 to bring it in a week later when no one drove it to find out he wanted another $800. I always bring our cars to Bob and the Mechanics at Sparks. On Saturday afternoon I realized that I head a headlight out, I drive to Autozone and thought I could just buy a bulb and pop it in, but that was not the case. It appeared way more complicated than my remedial mechanical skills could handle. So I drove to Sparks but unfortunately got there 5 minutes after closing. I thought I was doomed to drive with one headlight until Monday but Ray jumped into action and got it fixed in less than 20 minutes. As always the price was fair, the service, and work was excellent. Staff is nice but prices are unreasonably high. Charged me just over $100 for an oil change while Clark’s Car Care charged $35 for the same synthetic oil. I will not be returning.

Dont take your car here! I purchased a coupon for 3 oil changes. The first time I went there, things were fine. The second time, they drained the transmission fluid instead of the oil. The third time I went there, the lift broke with my car on it causing extensive damage to the drivers side when the car tipped over and hit a support column. While the lift breaking was not their fault, the way they handled the situation was very poor. The man working the front desk was very difficult to work with and gave inaccurate information about my car. The owner of the business was difficult to reach. They kept my car for two weeks to fix it, and when the car was returned to me, it was not completely repaired. My car has leather interior, and the door was replaced with a cloth interior, not leather. The frame of the driver’s side mirror was cracked, there were several stains in the car that weren’t there when I took the car in, my cell phone holder was broken, and while the outside of the car had been washed, the inside of the car was a mess. Several other items were not addressed as well. Trying to get the issues addressed was also a nightmare. Bob, the owner, is not always at the business, and the man at the front desk wouldn’t give us any information on how to reach him, yet wasn’t able to help us himself. Finally we were able to talk to Bob and he made an appointment for us to bring the car back to have it fixed to my satisfaction. We gave him a detailed list of all the items that needed to be fixed. Unfortunately, only some of the repairs were done. He won’t reimburse me for the broken cell phone holder, the stains were not removed, and a trim piece along the door is still loose. I also now have a whistling noise coming from the door that was not there when I first took the car in. In addition, I asked for all the paperwork on the work done on my car, including paperwork from Maaco, where they sent the car to be fixed, and he refuses to give it to me. This business had the opportunity to take a bad situation and make it better. At the minimum they should have made sure my car was fixed and returned to me in the same condition it was in when I took it to them. They could have gone above and beyond to make amends and had the car detailed and returned to me in even better condition, but instead I got a car that has more damage to it and is now of less value. Avoid this place!

Most recently received an accurate diagnosis followed up with solid work--starter and tie rod replacement. Been going to Sparks on and off for 10 years. Always been fair with me cost-wise!

My experience at this facility has been consistently positive over many years. From routine oil changes, the other multitude of maintenance cars require, to brake jobs, Sparks has helped me keep my vehicles breakdown free. Mostly, I appreciate the respect of having my questions addressed & the knowledge that the work is backed by trustworthy proprietor (and staff) who is receptive to any follow-up concerns after the job is done. Its the little things like when I need a pre-trip tuneup, I can get a free 24 point inspection because Sparks is a AAA Approved shop, and I have peace of mind on the road trip. Gotta have a AAA membership of course, which also gets me 10% off the Sparks tab. The dealerships would like you to believe they are the only folks that should touch your new vehicle, Not So!

The team at Sparks diagnosed our issue, provided a realistic timeframe for repairs, worked directly with all parties involved in the insurance claim, and returned our repaired vehicle in the timeframe they originally estimated. Took my GMC Envoy 2002 in due to rough idling and engine light. Paid $1400. Two months later the symptoms are back. Charges double for each item. Charges $120 for synthetic oil change. Never going back.

DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE. My tire pressure light was on and I thought maybe there was a nail, brought my vehicle in for them to check for nail and take it out and plug the tire. Long story short there wasnt a nail in the tire but somehow it took the technician one entire hour to figure that out. He hooked my vehicle up to the diagnostic machine and ended up making every light on my dashboard pop on and he had no clue how to get them to go off. I will never go back and to think I paid almost $30 for them to turn a simple issue into a major one. If I could give negative stars I would.

This car repair shop - SPARKS Complete Car Care is full of incompetent people and fraud.Each time I visited their repair center they installed cheap faulty parts in my vehicle which lead to further issues.For example - they recently recommend that I put a new battery in my car since there is no life left in the one installed then. I accepted and paid for thatOne month after that the so called New battery died on me. When I got my car towed to the dealership they wher surprised to see what it costed me to put this new battery which was much more expensive than the brand they and manufacturer recommends.Well long story short, in the span of just few months I had to spend huge amount of money to undo the damage caused by SPARKS car shop.To make matter worse, when I approached the SPARKS center with these details and asked them to compensate me for their shoddy job, the person at the front desk tells me that the owner is out pf the country so they cannot help me in such matters.Now knowing these facts, its up to you to decide if you still like to take your vehicle to this shop. Great service and fair pricing

DONT COME HERE! Had a complete break job done in March. In April the brakes locked up on a road trip. The repair shop that fixed their work said the rotors were grooved on the inside and none of the calpier slides were lubricated. $1100. later and being stranded out of state, Im writing this review. I rarely write negative reviews as they mostly get ignored however, I hope you will take the time to read this one! This is absolutely one of the worst companies to do business with in the area. I spent over $600 for work that was neither authorized or needed. I took my sons truck in to have an oil leak fixed and told them that we were selling the truck and I didnt want to waste money on needless repairs. The offered to conduct a test to check where the oil change was located and came back to tell me where the major leaks were located. I explained that I was unwilling to pay the extimated $800 to get the truck fixed and they went ahead and did $600 of repairs without my approval. What is worse is that the leaks are as bad or worse than before and they refuse to do anything about it. They are dishonest and will take you for all they can. Please be careful about leaving any vehicle with this group of thieves.

Will never go here again and based on my experience i would not recommend this to anybody. I was driving from Bradley, IL to Naperville. I had to make a couple of stops. All of the sudden my vehicle jerked during reverse and again in drive. So I decided to stop at Sparks(only because it was close to my house) After speaking with the technician, I decided to set up an appointment for the following morning. I first received a quote for the diagnostics, ok thats normal. I asked Johnny if the cost of the diagnostics goes toward any repair necessary, his response was yes. I left to go home. Feeling better that Sparks would repair my car the following day. I brought my car in at about 9am. After doing research the night before i informed them that the speed sensors might need to be replaced. At 3:30 Johnny called me and informed me that the speed sensors need replacing and that the total would be $216 plus the $100 Diagnostics. Bringing the total to $316. I questioned the Diagnostics charge and he said I think we can do something about that. I went on with the repair with the understanding that the total was going to be around $216 and my repair would have been completed. At 5:00pm Johnny called and told me my car was ready to pick up. I went in and picked up my car. I drove no more than half mile and my engine light came back on. I immediately called and Johnny told me to bring my car back in tomorrow. I brought it back the next day and they said it would take them longer to look at the car to diagnose further, however they were not going to charge me again. As if i was supposed to pay for them not fixing the problem. I unfortunately could not bring my car back for 1 week, to give Sparks 2 whole days to look at my car. I received a call that evening and Johnny Said We are unable to find the problem, and you might not want to throw money at a car and still not solve the problem. I have a 95 Saturn, with only 75k miles. The next morning I went to pick up my car and Johnny gave me my keys along with some BS report on the Transmissions of 1991 to 1994 Saturns. Again I have a 95. I left determined to take my vehicle somewhere else. After further research i found that 2 sensors could cause problems. both were only $15 each and were easy to repair, I decided to buy the parts and have a knowledgeable friend install them for me. After Installing the 2 sensors, which only took 20 min. total, I noticed an immediate fix. I have driven my car 600 miles since taking my car to Sparks, and my Service engine light has yet to come on. I hope my experience can help other consumers choose a better location than Sparks of Naperville.
