My favorite wool and quilting store. I can spend so much time just looking at the wonderful variety of sewing ideas they have to offer. Cant wait to go back.

Often , we as a people, are rushed to slander or begrudge someone , (even when it isn’t true or is just partially true benefitting the person eager to slam on a business or individual) .I’m NOT going to do any of that here today !I had an experience today (situation) in which I needed to contact “ The little Red Hen “. I called the # listed and asked the person managing the phones today ( SABRINA ) why I was charged almost $ 50.00 dollars for a purchase of over, $200.00 dollars ?“I was talking to a real live person, no waiting on the phone on hold, I didn’t have to enter One …. Two, Three, you get the picture ……… only to get disconnected, leaving me to have to go through the whole ordeal again . You get the point, right? An actual human being …. I felt like I won the lottery, I was smiling from ear to ear .They took my information , then within minutes I received a text asking if the new figure for shipping and a different shipper that saved me $25.00 would be O.K. , and if they should proceed . ❣️ I don’t have any pictures because I just today placed my order !!! First stop on our two day shop hop in IA. I could have spent more time in the shop. They have everything to make any quilter happy. I will definitely return.

What an amazing place for quilters to shop!!

I place my very first order on Sunday 13th and received today Thursday 17th in the cutest black and white checkered package. It made receiving fabric all that more exciting! Very fast service. I will definitely order from here again.

My friends & I visited the shop yesterday. The staff does not wear masks nor require them, no reminders for social distancing, or hand sanitizer available. We have loved visiting this shop in the past but will not return as they don’t care about they’re staff & customers. They’re are too many amazing shops to visit where your health & well-being is important to the staff

This place has so much fabric. Well organized. There is much more than fabric. They carry wool, embroidery, kits. Its a smorgasbord. Make sure you have plenty of time to look around. There is a lot to see. Very nice, helpful staff.

So. Much. To. See!! Amazing store and the staff could not have been sweeter. Found everything I was looking for and more. Great selection of punch needle and wool projects. They also carry great primitive project magazines. A wonderful place to visit.

Fantastic shop! selection is huge. I was in town for a wedding and only had about 45 min in there. I did make it through entire store, but I know I didnt see everything. plenty of kits available for any skill level! Will definitely be back!

This privately owned business has quite a bit going for it. I work at a local hotel here in Muscatine and pretty often, (mostly) women, will travel from all over Iowa to attend workshops here and use it as a gathering place. Personally, I believe it to be one of our many hidden, Ma and Pa store type gems of the community.

I loved this place! I would like to go back soon! It quite large and good variety of materials. There is a rest room. Only drawback is you need GPS to find the store which is in residential area.

Fantastical shop and wonderful staff. Storm canceled a trip to Denver halfway from Chicago. On the way back, a sign was seen in I80 and we chased it down, off the beaten path and soooo worth it. Itd be worth the trip just wander around the 5 rooms of magical display. Guaranteed day trip back there for the products, ambience and elegance.

It was really good place to shop for quilting supplies. But also had a few more gift items. Also the staff was friendly.

They have the most amazing selection of different fabrics, patterns and samples. There are Halloween rooms, Christmas rooms, and baby rooms in addition to the other selections. All in all a delightful place to shop.

Shopped into The Little Red Hen Quilt shop today. What a wonderful store. Great selection of quilting fabrics. If you cant find it in this shop you dont need it. Staff was wonderful to work with. I needed fabric for borders on a quilt top I made. They helped me select the prefect fabric to make it pop. If you are a quilter you need to make this shop on your shopping list. I will be heading back there soon to start another beautiful quilt. I dont think Ive seen this many fabrics in one location in Iowa anywhere! If you are a quilter this store will make you smile the whole time you are shopping! ENJOY.

There fabric selection is limitless in possibilities, many beautiful quilts showcasing their kits, and gorgeous wool items and kits. Plus many embellishments to add to your projects.

Although a little hard to find it was well worth the trip and I must say it is one of the nicest quilt shops I have ever been to. What selection and service! My only problem is that it is hours away from my home. Boo Hoo.

This is the second actual quilt shop Ive visited. So much to choose from. The staff is awesome, very helpful, friendly and patient. Ive been 2 Saturdays in a row now. Love it!
