This is a true old time, stocked to the ceiling, wood floor hardware store. We went in for the bird feeders, but quickly learned the star attraction is owner Jack Moore whos been a fixture there for 75 years. We could have chatted with him all day. Social visit aside, if you need a new cord for your electric percolator, they have it, as well as many other items you will never find in a big box store. And the bonus is you get to meet Jack!

Your old fashioned hardware store, where they actually know what you mean if u say something like I need, 6 , 10 penny nails. Will also go out of their way to help u solve an issue. Pops is now 90 and still working. Like it was when I was a kid

I walked in, was helped immediately and was given the right answers. I didnt have to wander or ask for help. If you get your steaks from the butcher and your seafood from a fish market, you should go to the hardware store for the good stuff. No crowds, no lines, no fake smiles, just a real smile from someone that truly knows what theyre doing. Ive been there many times but today, I wanted to give them a rating. 👍🏻😊

Greatest hardware store in NC bar none. Family owned. If you have a hard to find item,you may well find it here!! Really cool place just to stop and look around their store. If you grew up in Mooresville and surrounding areas, it will take you back to your childhood memories.

I stopped by to purchase a Lodge Cast Iron Skillet. Danny was so helpful and answered the questions that I had. The customer service is like none other and atmosphere is nostalgic. This store is a hidden gem and definitely should be on everyone’s must see list!

Hello everyone that reads this, I like shopping at the oldest store in Mooresville NC. Always great service and going back in time. I recommend that if you like great service and prices check it out.

It is so refreshing to walk into a store and be greeted by an employee. I always have lots of questions and these guys never get tired of me.

If there was 10 stars i will put 11 starsThe owner is as nice as you can get and the whole family working there is extremely kind everytime i need some tools or building materials i try to get them there to support the local small business surprisingly the price is just about the same as the big stores like lowes or HD. There is something about doing business in a 102 year old store. The man knows everything and everyone in town. Together we designed a regulatory value for a flexible water line I had. It cost $29.00 on line. We did it for $4 and had fun doing it.

This place had what I needed as got little things that you might not be able to find that Lowes at really good prices. Its always nice to support local business. I was looking for a hatchet handle which no hardware store in the surrounding area had and lo and behold he had one.

Best place to get local honey... theres Coke Cola in glass bottles there too. Jack knows everything and great to chat.

Had a store just like this but smaller on Richmond Road, Staten Island . However Turners has everything and I mean everything. Need an old wooden door spring, they have it. Need cast iron cookware, they have it. Best hardware store on earth. Love this place.

Where Can I Park my Radio Flyer?Before you can look for a parking lot in the lovely City of Mooresville, NC youll probably have driven like 40 miles north on I-77 from Charlotte.Alternatively, you may want to take I-85 north and leave that interstate at Poplar Tent Rd to continue on less important country roads enjoying some more or less interesting village views on your way to your destination.Admittedly, youll probably wonder where youve ended up: A historic hardware store or a specialized Radio Flyer dealership. Yes, Jack and Denny Moore seem to carry everything from screws and nails, rat traps, manyfold tools to a wide range of Radio Flyer models.And they are lovely, knowledgeable experts for a million of items in their store that is over 100 years old and where Jack joined at 15 in 1946! Great fun to browse this attraction regardless if you need anything or not. This place will open a door to American retail trade history. It took us back to the days of our own childhood and taught us what true tradesmen could and should be even today.We at PHILS WORLD TRAVEL definitely recommend our clients from overseas to spend a day in Mooresville, NC and at D.
