The staff are very helpful and go above & beyond in order to find exactly what style guitar or manufacturer you are looking for. They have a great selection of new and used guitars which are not overpriced. A bit hard to find these days in the Charlotte area.I will definitely be a repeat customer.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would, Pete and his son have revived music for me. I grew up with a classic rock drummer as a dad, playing music with him and my brother, but as my brother and I went to college, the music died. Our local music shop had closed, leaving us with a 45+ minute drive just for guitar strings and picks! I cannot express this enough when I say that Pete’s Guitars is the reason why my brother and I continue to rock on! The moment I first walked into the store, one of my favorite Metallica songs was playing and they were quick to greet me and introduce themselves and me to the store. I originally played bass guitar/drums but always wanted to learn acoustic/electric guitar as well. I am beyond terrible with remembering names (or anything in that fact) and hate that I can’t remember Pete’s son’s name because he has been way beyond helpful with my journey into learning a 6 string. When I bought my first 6 string guitar from them (a beautiful Sierra acoustic), rather than pointing me to the most expensive one they had, he showed me each acoustic guitar they had and demonstrated the sounds they produced as well as let me test drive each one to find my preference. Over several visits, both Pete and his son have answered my multiple questions throughly and even added higher details than I knew about guitars. (You can learn more about guitars from this place in 15 minutes than you can spending hours on Youtube) A few months into learning acoustic, I was passed down my brother’s old Ibanez electric guitar, I was curious to learn more about them, the sounds, and what kinds of pedals were available as this was my first electric guitar. I brought it in, they cleaned up all of my electronic and restrung my guitar to give it the nice clean sound I was looking for. Even though I made it clear I was not buying a new guitar that day, they were more than happy to show/teach me about the them. Working in sales, I very much recognize and appreciate the fact that they will attend to any customers needs whether or not they are there to buy or just look. Even when I came for my first guitar pedal, same thing, I was educated on the types of pedals and was guided towards my liking. It takes a lot to run a small business nowadays, but with the passion and heart these guys have for music, there is no doubt in my mind that I will ever result to any other music store for materials, equipment, or guidance. And they are very kind, and cool. They have cared for several of high end guitars for me and set them up to sing This level of guitar setup is priceless and hard to find! You wont find it at guitar center! I have been playing 30+ years and known only a few people that setup guitars like Pete does in his shop.-And theyre down to earth cool musicians. Highly recommend!

What a nice man! Helped me get my husband guitar re-strung before he got home after I knocked it over. Tuned and adjusted the guitar! Pete is the best! My husband never knew but smiled when he said it actually played better. Pete Rocks!!!

We went to other stores looking for an electric guitar and didnt get very much information and felt like everyone wanted to sell us the highest price item. Pete was very helpful and informative. He allowed my son to plug in and try a few different guitars until he found the right one. His prices were extremely reasonable and he wasnt salesy. You could tell he just wanted my son to leave with what he needed.

Awesome guitar shop! If you are looking for one of a kind or a starter guitar, Pete has it all. I played professionally for 12 years and this is the kind of shop for me. My 8 year old daughter has started lessons and in a short time she is already playing open mic nights at her school!!! You have to check this place out.

I brought Pete a partially assembled fender b bender telecaster which was a mess. Parts were out of the back and the guitar was in general disarray.Pete took the time to contact fender, get the schematics and work the solution. He did it in a very timely manner and it’s now a bada$$ telecaster!I will Continue to bring my guitars to him for a professional set up and electronic work! 5 stars and a super nice dude!

This is a hidden gem. I had an electric bass setup after a big box store messed it up ... price was very reasonable, service and workmanship excellent. Pete knows his stuff about instruments and playing. After that visit I switched my bass lesson taking to Pete. Im learning not only how to play but how music theory works. For a 50+ year old guy who has never played an instrument I find Petes approach a great combination. He also has an ever growing selection of new and used guitars, amps, and accessories. What a breath of fresh air-a boutique guitar store that truly meets a guitar player’s needs! I own 4 guitars...a real strat, les Paul and a couple of acoustics. The service was impeccable and reasonably priced. I almost left with buying another guitar as they had a broad selection and the pricing seemed fantastic! Though I wasn’t seeking lessons, I overheard Pete teaching a young kid..... his approach was creative and the kid was belting out some incredible licks...kudos to the new store in town!!

Great service and very knowledgeable about guitars.l learn something new with each visit.Pete is a great guy with his students and you never feel itemidated when he is instructing you. But at the end of lesson let him tear it up Wow!!! He will give give you a smile and say just practice man you will get there!

Had a vintage style (3 barrel) Tele set-up here and they did a great job. Intonation is spot on and action is very nice. Petes replaced a faulty pickup switch in My Gibson RD and was well done. Ill bring more guitars here for tweaking.
