My girlfriend brought me here and it was my first time. She said I would enjoy the good energy. The atmosphere is wonderful, and I also enjoyed speaking with the staff. It is very peaceful, it was a ladies day out Im so happy I went. Spacious very clean. Im a very picky individual, and I highly recommend Casa de Montercristo! Sip on wine have a smooth cigar whatever floats your boat the staff is welcoming. I will definitely be back.

Had such an amazing experience Jim went above and beyond to help us out and even gave us HIS coffee when the shop ran out. I’ve never seen such a beautiful place and great selection.

This is really cool place to go! Huge variety of cigars in walk in humidor, staff knowledgeable & very friendly! Has small bar area, comfy seating indoors or nice patio area outdoors. Prices vary depending on your preference of cigars but has a points system that is helpful!

Its a very simple question. Do you enjoy cigars? If your answer is yes then youll love this place. The environment is terrific, but more importantly, the selection is fantastic. Youll find something for even the most discerning of oficionados.

This place is TOP Notch! Specifically Jim! He’s the man! Everyone there was so helpful and their hospitality was excellent. I was just passing through with some friends and we found this gem on our way!! I will always come back here when I’m in town!!

Best place in the Carolinas to smoke and drink. Comfortable seating and laid back atmosphere. Not to mention the largest selection of cigars in the world. If you are a cigar aficionado this place should be on your bucket list.

Good selection of cigars and a nice bar/lounge to enjoy. Vibe was decent the last time except music was way too loud and almost had to shout to enjoy a conversation.

My favorite man cave go to spot.. And I will definitely be trying one of these next time I visit. Was told that these batch of cigars have a infused style kind of flavor which can be mistaken for a mild sweet flavored cigar. This is because of how the tobacco was raised and kind of tobacco it is. The staff also says it sells pretty good.

This is my go to cigar shop. Everyone is very knowledgeable, and helpful. Their selection is fantastic, and there lounge is the best around.

Always great to visit. Kind staff and comfortable atmosphere. A few serious issues I would like to see changed/addressed...1. Smoking in the humidor. Low class and affects inventory2. Handle my cigars that I am paying for more carefully and dont try to shove every stick I purchase into 1 bag. If you drop one, I dont want that one. Dont try to play it off...3. Handling my cigars with your bare hands as you smoke your cigar and touch the saliva. COVID aside, this is just nasty... My advise, get some gloves like the ones they use to make sub sandwiches.

What’s better then a cigar shop? A cigar shop that serves drinks! Casa (formally JR’s) is a great place to grab your favorite smoke or try something new and sample local beers while enjoying. If you liquor they have a great assortment and some signature drinks.Casa also has an active event calendar so usually something fun happing monthly from vendor events to sporting event viewing. Highly recommend this place.

Staff assumed my girl was not a customer while she walked around looking for help. They did ask me and I do not smoke at all. They later apologized to her on their own for assuming she was not a cigar smoker.

Went there three years ago for the first time. Im passing through tomorrow on my way to my brothers and you can bet this is a must stopping point off I77. The atmosphere was great and the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. It is one of the highlights to my trip from Ohio. Always love buying fresh cigars and cant wait to step through them doors tomorrow!!

Either I didnt fit in or caught the place on the wrong day. Patrons dont know know how to respond to a greeting. The 3 guys behind the counter must have been having a union meeting, greeting from them. Spent $184 and didnt even get a thank you and come again. Not the easiest place to get to driving a tractor and trailer. Only reason i gave 2 stars was because they carried the Plasencia brand. Snobbish joint. I wont be back, the good old boys can have this place. Then to top it off 2 of 858 AF sungrown had mold on the foot, which I did call them and let them know. David did confirm this as the case. Buyers beware.

I have been a customer since they opened this location. I live in another town, but drive roughly 30 miles to shop here specifically. The setting is comfortable and inviting. Whether choosing to smoke my favorite cigar inside or out on the patio, I always have an enjoyable experience. Their product selection inside is second to none anywhere in this area and their prices are fair and competitive. The staff is always knowledgeable, professional, friendly and eager to help - making sure to point out any special deals they may have going on when I’m there. Even my wife enjoys visiting with me and loves to peruse their selection of cigar boxes for sale, as well as pointing out cigars she thinks I might like to try. True to the Monte Cristo style, this place is very elegant and classy. No high pressure sales. But still very helpful staff. The initial impression was a bit intimidating. But its a very welcoming and comfortable place to shop and smoke! I will definitely be stopping back in when Im in the area.

I have not been to a nicer cigar lounge Period! The staff there are extremely knowledgeable and professional. That level of customer care brings that feeling ofextra to the visit.I was working out of town when I visited. I only hope they will bring this first class establishment to the liberty center/liberty township Ohio...

I didnt want to say anything but since this has happened before I cant help it. Please send your bartenders to bartending school. I wanted to order a dark & stormy which is 2 ingredients. He hadnt heard of it. I googled it for him & he couldnt find the rum. It was unecessarily complicated & not a relaxing moment. I gave up after that. It was nice to see the firepit lit

If you’re looking for a great place to kick back and enjoy a cigar in nice relaxed atmosphere, Casa de Montecristo can’t be beat. However, if you’re looking for great prices to stock your humidor, don’t bother. I recently went there to pickup a bundle of Drew Estate Factory Smokes Sungrown Robusto’s. MSRP for a bundle of 25 is $40. Their price? $55. That’s 35% over retail. No thanks. I’ll continue to get my cigars online.

Awesome selection of cigars and cigar related items. Well trained staff. The bar is extremely well stocked in bourbon 🥃, whisky 🥃, and craft beer 🍻. I enjoyed my Fat Bottom Betty paired with some Old Fitzgerald! Made for a wonderfully relaxing afternoon.

Great staff and super cool environment! I had just been to another local shop trying to find a humidor. The experience at this other shop was very negative and disappointing so I walked in here hoping for something better. These folks were awesome. They made themselves available and answered any questions I had on humidors, cigars, etc. All in all it was a fun experience and my fiancée and I will be going back.

Great place to have a drink while enjoying a cigar! Excellent cigar selection, with a friendly staff. Beer and liquor at the bar. It is very well ventilated too. They dont serve food, but you can order in from the surrounding restaurants. I recommend it highly!

Great decor, awesome furniture both inside and outside, and a huge selection of cigars. The inside furniture is made up of huge leather lounge chairs and there are also tables if you want. The inside feels very inviting and makes people feel comfortable to spend as much time there as they want. The outside has a couple of fire pits and seats as well.

Great place for our local club meetings. They have a nice cigar selection and local craft beer at the bar. The bar service today wasnt really up to par, but it was acceptable. Bar PRICES are still very high, even for a 2oz liquor pour.

I really like the bar and lounge. The craft beer on tap is really good, and its usually very affordable. They have a great variety, and I enjoy having a pint and relaxing outside on a cool night with the fireplaces. Ive had friends visit from abroad and Ive brought them to this location because its so enjoyable.The only time Ive purchased cigars there was for my father for his birthday, and Ill never go back. The older gentleman helping me had zero interest in showing me what I wanted to see, only whatever special they had running. I asked numerous times and he kept guiding me back to their special with far more cigars and more expensive than I wanted, and refused to help me locate what I wanted. He was like an old-school used car salesman. I ended up just getting something that looked good, and he tutted at me that I should really get the special, at which point I had to ask him to leave me alone. Its a shame, as the bartender and other staff were great, this guy just ruined the experience for me.

The new JR Cigar is a fun place! The humidor, while perhaps smaller, seems better organized and easier to find product in. The staff are very helpful, although they are often busy.There are lots of ask deals on cigars staged around the humidor, as well as various humidor and other accessories. In addition to the brand you want, there are their house branded cigars. They are a great alternative for filling out the humidor.Outside the humidor is a bar lounge, where smokers can enjoy themselves while watching so TV or having a conversation.Cool place, great facility. Definitely stop by one of you are a cigar lover and have the chance.

I drive from Atlanta to Virginia a couple times a year and make sure I time my drive to stop here. Great selection of cigars and a relaxing place to stop for a smoke. Highly recommend.

Love this place. Just left watermelon Wednesdays, they had grilled watermelon flavored with honey, balsamic, honey lime. If you have never tried it make sure you do. They also had watermelon mojito that were excellent

I’ve come to Cafe Monte Cristo for about 6 weeks now to network with a group. I’ve enjoyed every cigar, and every whiskey. What’s important is the service, and Dave comes through every time. Makes it an enjoyable experience, and I feel like Norm from cheers. Can’t stress enough how wonderful a place this is, and Dave puts the cherry on top.
