I just bought this Walther PPKS for 699.00 dollars. 100 less than the closest website. Ian was my guy the best in the business. One of the best gun stores in the Twin Cities!The staff are well versed in firearms and there is a great selection of guns. The Older guy in the overalls and the guy with longer hair and glasses are usually there and very helpful. They consistently have reasonable prices on used guns.

There arent many dedicated gun stores left in the Twin Cities proper, and this is the place to go if youre in the western suburbs unless youre going up to Crystal or Anoka. They have a typical selection, the staff is knowledgeable. The location is pretty convenient just off the highway.

The workers were nice and the experience was quick and easy. I had visited them twice and decided to sell a couple guns there. Upon entering they had a sign that said “masks not permitted upon entering” or something to that extent. The owner explained how he tried to ban masks which made me very confused. Guns are a form of protection just like masks are a form of protection. Is this not correct? I was the only person there with a mask, concerned for my own safety, as well as an older man who was clearly at risk. If you preach that we should all be allowed to protect ourselves how we want (including guns) then why can’t we wear a mask? seemed a bit hypocritical and uncomfortable.

Wow, lots of guns in stock! Friendly staff helped me find what I needed. Definitely would come back.

I find it hilarious that the owner is so paranoid about fake negative reviews when many of the 5 star reviews are obviously fake. 50% of the employees were helpful. Bills is just an overall better experience.

If you aint white dont shop there, you are not welcome there your money and your business does not matter to them. I went there yesterday I could not find what I was looking for so I went to the counter area too see if they carry what I was looking for. Stood there for about 5-10 minutes 2 young guys working there had one customer. Neither one of them wants to help me so I left. They dont even deserved a one star rating. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY IS NO GOOD THERE SPEND IT SOMEWHERE ELSE.

If your buying a highly marked up gun here, they will help you (apparently the 2 guns i bought a month ago, didnt a offer a new commission on the sale). If you come in to ask anything else, they will shoe you out the door and tell you they only have time for gun sales. I certainly wont buy from here again. I’m usually for supporting local business, but this place is a complete joke and that’s an understatement. They are just taking advantage of people and it pisses me off.Every single item in there is marked up almost double if not more I don’t know how they are in business. They want $80-$100 any caliber for 50 count box’s of ammo that looks like it’s from 1989.News flash, Scheels in EP currently sells ammo for $40 a box at the highest people!Guns are no different! I looked at 5 firearms they want to sell for $900, Gunbroker, Scheels, Palmetto, name your place they all sell the same gun for $400-$500.

Heard about these guys on the radio on Bob Sansevere’s show. Brought in a few guns to sell them and they paid more than I expected.

Trashy vibe, EVERYTHING over priced, gouging, rude, not very honest or helpful people.I was in the area and stopped in to see if they had .357. Each 50 count box I picked up was LITERALLY $100. 20 round boxes for $50-$60!? Every caliber box of ammo I saw was DOUBLE the price you can find at Bills, Scheels, Fleet Farm, etc. Granted it’s hit or miss getting ammo these days at those places but I’d rather take my chances and spend $40/box compared to your $100. What a joke you guys are.Looked at a couple used guns just to continue laughing, pulled up the same guns on Gunbroker, SG, Simmons, Palmetto, 5/5 guns I looked up were hundreds more at this place.Don’t support these price gouging people I dont care if they’re local, save yourself hundreds of dollars and just go to one of the places mentioned above or online and look!

I recommend them to anyone I talk to about firearms. I have purchased two from them and had very good experiences both times. I even brought my girlfriend here to look. I expected the usual treatment where they speak to me about what she would want. Instead I was delighted when they very politely for lack of a better term ignored me to speak directly to her. Don’t be intimidated when you walk in the door strike up a conversation and you will be pleasantly surprised!

They offered fair and transparent pricing and even told me to come back with a couple extra magazines and unused ammo (new and in original packaging) because they would buy that, too. Was treated very rudely... then the one employee refused to sell me and two other people ammo, while two other employees were yelling at each other behind the other counter. We recently stopped in to browse their selection. Despite the recent shortages, we found a fairly good selection of new and used guns available. I was able to purchase a new Glock 19 Gen 5 which I had been looking everywhere for! The place was very busy, but the staff was attentive and friendly enough, though they seemed to be juggling multiple customers at the same time. And it was refreshing to see that wearing a mask is optional but not required.

The in store selection is very good, and they have a huge online selections to choose from, a very competitive transfer fee and a nice selection of used firearms in the shop. The customer service was very professional. I would certainly recommend paying them a visit. I will be a repeat customer for sure.

Purchased my first pistol through Frontiersman. They didnt push what was already in stock on me, but instead were able to place a special order for exactly what I wanted. The price was excellent, and the gun arrived in only two days, and they called me the same day it arrived. I have been coming here for over 10 years and also have been recommending this shop to friends and family . I honestly dont know why ... they have been rude to me almost every time I go there . I wont ever be going there or recommending this place to anybody ever again . Lost me for good this time. I dont know how theyve stayed open all these years . These guys have zero customer service skills . Spent $600 somewhere else today and they were glad to have my business. Do yourself a favor and bypass this place.

I dont know what some of the lower scored reviews are talking about. I have always received fantastic customer service at frontiersman, a great group of guys. Super friendly, knowledgeable, and always great for conversation. I work for an FFL, but I keep coming back here because of their service. Their prices are great too, but its their Pro 2A attitude and friendly conversation that keeps me coming back.

This is by far my favorite gun store in Minnesota. Military Surplus firearms are what got me hooked on guns since I was a kid but for some reason it seems like almost every other gunstore in MN has almost no old Mil-surp firearms. However, the Frontiersman has always had atleast a handful ever since I first discovered this place (which was several years ago). Ive purchased various firearms and ammo from here (the best deal I got was a $180 Winchester Model 12 which had a MINT barrel and runs super smooth) and Ive been extremely satisfied with all my purchases. Unfortunately I live in California now for a couple more years, but whenever Im home on leave I always try swinging by this place to either purchase ammo I cant find anywhere else or just to browse their selection. Anyway, I definitely hope this place stays around for awhile... 👍🏻

Rude right from the second we got in the door. My son was wearing a mask in accordance with the Covid-19 rules. He was told to remove it by the owner. The owner wouldnt even pay attention to us or offer any assistance. Poor stock, hardly anything available. We will not be going back there again. Ever and of course would not recommend them to anyone.

Great place to go for you gun needs. They are great guys to talk to and easy to work with. Just a regular Joe gun store thats perfect for the regular Joe gun enthusiast or beginner. I recommend anyone looking to purchase a new or used firearm to stop in and see what they can do for you, especially before you go to the big box stores. The only negative is that they don’t have a range, but their prices are way lower than the places that do have a range, so it’s very worth it.

Great place to sell used guns. We had 18 guns from my late father which we had no use for. They took the time to go over everything, explain the reasoning behind their offer on each one, and made us feel very comfortable with selling to them. Also they paid us cash, they didn’t offer a consignment plan with an unknown time to sale like another shop we looked into did. Very happy!

This is the worst place I’ve ever been too not friendly at all. I felt very discriminated due to my color and culture. I was literally kicked out for no reason. I have the permit money and everything in order and was still kicked out!

These guys are top notch when it comes to knowledge, customer support and a down to earth family friendly fun store.

They always have rare, unique, and unusual guns and other merchandise that just can’t be found anywhere else. Also they are very fair in buying your used guns and taking trades, it’s well worth having these guys bid on your used guns before making a decision to pawn or sell them elsewhere.

Maybe I just didnt look like someone who wanted to spend money there, and I guess I will not be spending anything there. So, check them out, there prices seem good, and maybe you look like some who wants to by a firearm so you will be able to get service. Just remember, you get what you pay for.

Very good service and nice people. They had a gun in stock that I have been looking for. Everybody else had to order it. Huge selection of used guns also, which is obviously why they are so well-known as the best place in town to sell and trade used guns.

They have been our go to shop for all our artillery needs, especially when we need something for our scheduled hunting days. They were very informative and they give us tips on how to properly handle the guns that we have and how to keep it clean always. Staffs were very nice and friendly. We highly recommend them for your gun needs.

I bought a shotgun for my son here yesterday and it was a great experience. First, the prices are hard to beat. I have been looking around town and comparing prices and from what I can tell, these guys seem to have the best prices town. Second, these guys know guns. I have always bought my guns from the big box sporting goods stores so this was a great experience to buy a gun from guys who know their stuff. Third, they are laid back and not pushy. I have stopped in there a couple times this summer and every time I have been in there they have been very helpful and answered all of my questions. They also have a huge selection of used guns that seems to rotate quite often. I will be going back here for my future gun purchases.

As a potential first time gun buyer, I was excited to explore every local gun shop near me. Before entering the shop, they had 3 of the same sign posted outside the door. I inspected the sign and carefully read the first few bullet points before giving the rest a brief read (this was my fault because I didnt read it thoroughly). I just assume it was the same mumble jumble: keep your social distance, enter one person at a time, we are still serving customers, yada yada.As I entered the shop (with my mask on)... it was overcrowded (within covid standards), very dimly lit, and a bit gloomy. As I tried to keep my social distance, I stood near the entrance while scanning the area. I was only met with stares from workers who looked like they worked way too many hours to be dealing with an amateur like me... Talk about awkward haha.With my observations, the layout of the shop is very dated. Its just my opinion but if they want to bring in a lot more new and younger customers, a fresh upgrade to the place would be welcomed.As I took a few more steps around the corner, a worker annoyingly told me that I needed to take my mask off because I cant wear it inside; to which I was totally fine with it because its probably for security reasons. But his tone was what killed the whole happy vibe I had. Obviously I made an honest mistake but cmon man, did you really have to treat me like that in front of everyone? Is this how you treat your customers? To clarify, it wasnt what he said but how he said it.I respectfully obliged anyways and continued looking at their inventory. They had a really good selection of guns and it seemed promising.I walked towards the handguns and was amazed at their wide selection too. After awhile, I witnessed another customer with his mask on but nobody told him to take his mask off. At this point I wasnt feeling it so I left.Reflecting back, this place left a sour taste in my mouth. I was never greeted and the only words they ever said to me was to take off my mask... There were no Hello, Welcome to Frontier, Do you have any questions... Nada.At the end of the day, you can have everything done right but if you lack customer service, you will never receive my business. I felt unwelcomed, discriminated, and had a sense that I was dealing with shady people from the beginning.I dont know what their problem is... Maybe they were having a bad day, maybe theyre overworked, maybe its stress, maybe its just a hit or miss.Im not perfect myself, but at least I know customer service when I see it; and this aint it. Im a fair man though, so Im willing to go back into their shop and give it another go.

Also I love that they have a huge selection of used guns, and they are always buying, and they actually pay cash for used guns. I stopped in here yesterday because I was looking around online for a place to sell a pistol, and reviews online say this is a great place to sell. Their own website states this as well. I walked in and there are two guys sitting behind counter. The don’t say anything. So I walk up to the counter they look right at me and say nothing. After a few awkward moments I tell them I’m looking to sell a pistol, and one of them looks at my gun fiddles around on his computer for a long time, and says “not interested.”So much for being a “premier” place to sell firearms. I’ve owned this gun for a few months. There’s nothing wrong with it, and they didn’t ask me any questions or give a reason or anything. Pretty frustrating. I had planned on purchasing a gun there as well, as I like supporting local businesses. Not this place. I will find somewhere else.

Horrible customer service. I went in there to get a gun and because my husband helped me pick out one I was refused service. I’m new to the gun world and the sales man didn’t even help and assumed it was for my husband. It was an older white guy. It would had been nice if he any offered to help but he didn’t. Also when I called to obtain his name to file a complaint he hung up on me.

Great place! Lots of used firearms at fair prices, have done a few FFL transfers here too. Guys with a ton of knowledge that will let you look on your own, but are ready to answer your questions with very insightful info. Fun to BS with them also. My favorite place to visit.

Theyre truly passionate about what they do. Also it’s about the only place in town to find a large selection of used guns, as well as to sell your used guns and receive a fair price. I popped in to get an offer on a handgun I no longer needed. Overall, the store seems pretty nice, but the older white hair gentleman working the counter couldnt have been more uninviting. After making me an extremely low-ball offer on my firearm, which was in mint condition, I left. He was exceptionally off putting the entire time and acted as if he could care less about my business. Customer service and attitude are an important thing in this world. This man needs to learn that.

Ever since discovering this place when I turned 18 it quickly became my go to and favorite gun store. There is always something new, they stock new, used and milsurp along with ammunition to match. Employees are kind, respectful and knowledgeable! I genuinely recommend giving them a visit. 10/10 would recommend.

My favorite gun store in Minnesota for sure! And it looks like they are making some real positive changes lately. They have a computer kiosk that can take your fingerprints and other info for silencer and machinegun purchases. Also I just met their new store manager and another cool new employee who seems to really know his stuff for a younger guy. They are bringing in several new product lines and have a bunch of great clearance deals going on too. Always was a great shop, and its awesome to see them making it even better!
