People should know, You want to be friendly and smile. Ask question??? I only have dealings with approximately eleven different companies in the Twin Cities... Everyone does this business differently. Out of fifty plus articles +50 Only one item was wanted. Not everything in your closet is in demand at Buffalo Exchange. I was called by my name and welcomed and thanked!!!
The short wait outside the building, due to covid policies, was more than worth it. As soon as people came out, others were let in and the staff was vigilant and fair about tracking who is next to shop.Staff is so friendly and accommodating. While I was shopping I was politely and casually asked if I needed help and an employee offered to take my items I had in my hand to put up front with my name, great customer service.I went in with my service dog and there was absolutely no issues. He had been eating grass earlier that day and I saw him not looking well, I promptly asked the employee if she could hold my item while I took him outside and she did, when I got back they were getting water for him! So wholesome! The clothes must be well cleaned before they go on the rack because my whole bag had a pleasant scent when I got home. Not musky at all like the other places. They let you donate to a cause when you buy a reusable bag and the bags are unique and good quality! Great prices and awesome finds!!I cant wait to stop in again when Im in the area!
One of my favorite places to shop but I’m pretty bummed the prices have gone up over the years. Some of the items they are selling could be bought new for a couple more dollars. Still love shopping here but if you’re going to charge what you do at least find nicer brands
Great finds to be had here. Speaking for the mens inventory, awesome styles and deals on jackets, sweatshirts and button downs can be had consistently. Pants and shorts are in shorter supply, but there are quality brands if you can find sizing.
INCREDIBLE SERVICE!! The staff was extremely nice and very helpful! REALLY GOOD SELECTION!! The racks are FULL with really nice, vintage, stylish, trendy clothes and at a fair price! The selection also has really good quality name brand shoes for a good price. I was so happy with the store that I had to make an account just to leave a review.
Lots of cheap Shein clothes, and the decent options are very expensive for second hand.
Great experience the cashier was amazing! They helped me find more cool graphic t-shirts that i fell in love with! The vibe in the store is great, the co-workers are super happy and friendly. Overall the store is very welcoming and has super cool clothes a shoes. I’m definitely coming back :)
A lot of fast fashion (target, forever 21, fashionnova) and not even for that cheap
These people are the best! Friendly, helpful and I got a brand new free people dress for 30 bucks!
Friendly helpful staff, was able to get in and out decently quickly after using changing room twice. Love this place
Its sad to say this will probably be the last time I go in.Not sure if I caught them all on an off day, but multiple associates werent personable or were unhelpful. Buffalo exchange also prides themselves on being unique.... And they really arent. You want fovever21 styles from two summers ago? Go to Buffalo exchangeYou want UofM merch? Go to Buffalo exchangeYou want something that feels manufactured or like fast fashion? Go to Buffalo exchange(All over priced by the way)You want various styles, aesthetics, or color pallettes? There are plenty of other stores in the cities.
One of my favorite second hand stories in the cities. I’ve had some fantastic finds there over the years
Tried not to go here but it looks like I have no choice. Ive gone into this store with shoes and clothing items four times within the last 2 years, and they have rejected brand new items that look very much like the items they have on their shelf. Im an African American man dont want to accuse anyone of being bias in that way. But I think they cant be more obvious. Just so ya know. This will be the last time for me.
This is a great place to sell your used clothing. They will donate whatever they dont buy if you ask them to. So for me, its like theyre paying me to make a donation. The staff are all really friendly too.
As far as selling items, if you are looking to get some good money for your stuff it isn’t worth it. They aren’t doing any quoting right now so I don’t know how much money I got per item. I had faith I’d get a good deal but the amount they took was worth about $80 total and I only got $19.50. Huge disappointment. I was also excited to sell some of the high end clothing I had that were barely used and they wouldn’t take it, yet if you look through their stock there’s a lot of cheap target and forever 21 clothing. Was just a really big bummer.
Constantly changing options. Plenty to see and choose from but not ever overly stocked. Very well curated. The staff is awesome. They have a pretty good system if you want to sell or trade your clothes. Another plus is they are minimal waste and donate to good causes.
Inaccessible parkingbad selectionthe staff is nice and helpful, but whenever I bring clothes in as a seller, I can never predict what (if anything) theyll actually take. they recently passed over some stuff that was in good condition and very on-trend.
This store is AMAZING. They offer fair prices when buying clothes and have a great selection of clothing. They dont offer a lot in terms of pants for anything bigger than a size 10. But they constantly have Doc Martens coming and going. I have been here many times and the staff is always phenomenal and SUPER friendly. They where kind enough to hold a pair of boots until they were done assessing my donation. All around a great store with great employees 🙌
Selling your items here is not worth it. Better off selling on FB market tbh.
Its not a vintage store. At most its vintage inspired but even thats a stretch. I saw more Forever 21, H&M, Target, Nike and Zara brands than anything else. I wouldnt be so disappointed if the prices were fair for used last year clothing. The prices were as if you were paying for a brand new item. If I want to support fast fashion Id just go to the actual store instead of paying more for it secondhand.
They are always friendly and helpful. :-)
Excellent clothing selection, friendly staff, reasonable prices. I will be returning again.
Love this place, always has amazing finds!
Store isnt bad but the new drop off system is far too convoluted to be worth doing. 24 hour advance appointment to drop something off? Drivers license information?Take my phone # and the bag of clothes. Goodwill it is, dont have time to call during the work day and give out personal information. I understand the difficult times we are currently experiencing but its simply unnecessary for it to be such a p.i.t.a. to bring in clothing.
The people there are very nice.
Was just here and had 2 pairs of jeans to try on with 5 minutes until close. Turned away from trying them on even though there were people in the dressing room when I left with my girlfriend 2 minutes after close. I could have tried on them by then. So odd.
I have run an online vintage store for years and my clothing has done fairly well. I’m clearing my clothing items out a bit because of storage space. I called ahead of time and was told they were looking for 60s and 70s clothing. I have some seriously cool vintage items. Packed a bunch of it and headed over there. The staff was friendly enough but clearly not looking for vintage. Nearly everything was turned down because of very minor flaws. Of course they have flaws, they’re 40 years old! Still very wearable and those that collect and wear vintage don’t toss something aside because it has a thread out of place. The whole thing seemed a bit amateurish. Was expecting a better eye for a vintage shop in Uptown. Basic.
Plenty of stock to choose from but overpriced. Buffalo Exchange in Ballard Washington is the best by far.
Great place with a lot of selection and good social distancing measures. Shame about the lack of banana bread though
Bit of a musty smell but the selection is very cool and eclectic! The staff here is fun and helpful and the establishment has a strong uptown vibe. Extremely cool atmosphere and there are some real gems hidden on the racks, but the prices are a little high and the changing rooms definitely leave one......wanting. Still, Ive never been anywhere else like this. Its worth a look!
Buffalo is one of the only places I shop in store at, and Ive been going for years. I cant even explain how much I love it. The environment, products, and overall experience is so perfect for those who enjoy more unique, trendy, and new-york like fashion. If youre selling, you will most likely get a great deal compared to places such as platos closet. As for the products, i have found some of my favorite pieces at buffalo and the associates really seem to have an eye for great fashion pieces that most stores seem to overlook. The service is always great, and they uphold a certain vibe that I believe their customers continue coming back for.
Shopping here is fun. I may not always find something thats a must-have, but they always have new stuff coming in. I especially like browsing the accessories and shoes.I also has a great selling experience here. I brought in about 20 items, and they bought about 15 of them. They told me exactly what they would sell each item for and how much I would get. I could make the choice to sell item-by-item. They liked more and offered more than I had expected. This was by-far the best in-store selling experience I have ever had. Compared to some other shops around town, this selling process was fair, and they were candid about everything. There was no snobbery when they turned down my Old Navy jeans, but they were enthusiastic about the items they did take.I will definitely buy and sell here again.
Going to a rain soaked state and needed base layers and things for the rain. They did not disappoint! All the employees were super helpful and even found me a brand new marmot raincoat that was Brand new! The coat online lists for $300 they had it for $42.
Love love love this place. Very hipster funk style clothing. Unique and friendly staff!
Very horrible experience, the first time I went the people were kind and helpful. The second time, the lady was very rude and short tempered and I hate to pull the race card but she seemed prejudice. Her name was Bridget and maybe I caught her on a bad day but she was glaring at me, wouldn’t give me a reason as to why she couldn’t buy my clothes, told me to leave when I asked what was wrong and then said “I am not buying that from YOU” Then proceeded to stare at me the whole way I walked out. I wasn’t rude so I don’t understand why she was acting that way. I do not recommend sellers to come here. Save your time
Fun, trend focused, constantly updated selection of clothing. Could benefit from a more organized approach in their buying. Maybe by appointment or at give the customers waiting a number? Was skipped over today while trying to sell clothing after I waited patiently. Then I was told repeatedly its okay by the employees when I objected. They were extremely dismissive.Try Everyday People in St. Paul if you want a more friendly experience selling. I always opt for the store credit. Very transparent--they show you a slip tabulating your credit for each item. Eclectic stock though-but great for vintage lovers!
I shop here frequently for their deals on great clothes. I have to say I’m very impressed by the level of customer service and knowledge of their staff. Every time I’m in there I feel like see them giving their staff little sales exercises and going over new customer service initiatives. Another thing I thought was cool was how the few times I was shopping right before closing they never rushed me out of there and encouraged me to take my time. Great place!
Great place with fun styles. The employees were fun to talk to and really helpful when I donated clothes, very accommodating as well. You can get 50% of the clothes youve brought that they want to take for store credit or 30% for straight up cash. They tell you this if you are selling clothes. The downside to this though is that they are in a bit of a traffic heavy area and they actually dont have a parking lot.
I have had nothing but wonderful experiences here. I found the perfect summer skirt for a reasonable price and even took a chance on selling. The woman going through my clothes made me feel comfortable and we had a pretty good conversation. Ended up with the store credit so I can come back and shop. Definitely a much more positive experience than going to other similar places..
This store is great for trendy finds and good deals. While the prices are higher than other thrift stores in the Twin Cities, I go there with the guarantee I will find multiple items I love. Staff are friendly and helpful. I am ALWAYS asked if I want a fitting room started, even if I only have one or two items in my hands. If they are busy, which they usually are, they will start a waiting rack for me. I really enjoy this kind of service, and makes me want to come back each time. I have not sold here before, although I know that they do buy. If I had to say anything about this location as a warning; be prepared to bring your own shopping bag, and find parking a block or two away.
Came here the other day for the first time. Staff was very nice. It’s a small store so it’s sort of difficult to look through stuff without bumping into other stuff. I found a LYM hat for a great price and was very happy. I especially love that they do not have plastic bags, so they give you a 5 cent token to donate to 3 different charities in the area.
Great selection of stylish vintage clothing, footwear and accessories. Attracts a trendy young crowd, business is brisk. Staff are friendly, quick, helpful and trendy themselves even a bit edgy. Fun place to beI think some prices are tad high but then they must pay rent and at least minimum wage salaries
Great selection of trendy clothing for men and women. Prices were standard for an upscale consignment shop; ~$11-$25 for mens shirts and pants. Really friendly and helpful staff.
I have heard great news about Buffalo exchange. So I decided to try it out for myself. I brought some items to sale which were brand new with the tags still attached, never worn. After dropping my bad out on the counter the lady only bought one item out of all the things I brought in which I thought was lame. Seeing that the person next to me every item was bought and wasnt even the latest of clothes. As I shopped I didnt feel welcomed. After finding 2 items to purchase my item the credit was different from what the lady originally told me. Therefore I was forced to put an item back. Shortly after that I went to pick up my un bought items and as the cashier reached for my bag she dragged it as if it was trash then broke my bad and didnt even offer to find me a new bag. Overall my experience was horrible. I am willing to give it another try but as a person of color I did not feel welcome nor was there anyone working in there that looks like me. I think this store should strive on diversity with its staff.
A good selection of vintage clothing and accessories for relatively affordable prices for a students budget. A good place for a theater departments costumers especially if in search of something specific. A fun place to visit with fashionable friends.
Absolutely amazing! A lot of style and very friendly, optimistic staff. I recommend for the best sell, trade, and buy experience all in one. Picked up and sold some nice goods here. #FunFashion
Love coming here to shop for unique pieces but it’s a little pricey. I’ve seen a few items from forever 21 or H&M that they are selling for way more than the actual companies are pricing them... which is kind of a bummer.
Once again, Im reminded why I dont trade or shop here anymore. I used to go all the time, but in the last 5 years or so the quality has gone downhill while the snobbery has gone up. They took a few of my items and left some, to be expected. Then the girl pricing everything rapid fire gave me what theyd sell for (could barely hear her), what my trade or sell prices would be and then walked away before I could respond. I looked around and decided on a few items to trade and ended up waiting close to ten minutes for someone to help me at the register. There were hardly any customers, but about 8 staff. Its a tiny store. When I asked them to confirm the numbers, because it didnt sound like what I had barely heard earlier, the same girl comes over and gives the WORST attitude. Starting to talk to me as if Im two, shes never even given me a second to say anything to her as she kept talking over me when I tried to speak. This is just one example of what I experience here every couple years when I forget how bad it was last time. I took the ten bucks cash instead (for the items that they sold at 40% mark up) and will definitely never go back. Not making that mistake again.
Its ok, i think other buffalo exchange have much better quality, and it does smell like old in the store.. also it should be a little bit more organized. The staff is pretty friendly tho, awesome staff!
I go there 4-5 times per year. they offer great price and all staff work there is so friendly and patient. highly recommend! Declutter the closet and then go to buffalo exchange! you wont regret it!
I love coming here! The customer service is amazing and they always have a great selection of trendy looks and are fairly size inclusive.
Fantastic store, they have really fun styles! The employees are super nice! Great place to sell your used clothes!!!
Buffalo exchange is a great place to get current style for less cash! you can also sell or trade ... as long as your stuff is in good condition and in style! The people who work there are amazing and they will help you find your true self!
Decent selection, but sizes definitely favor smaller, young clientele. They used to have more vintage items, but personally, it seems they are moving in a more modern, cheap-chic trendy direction. Losing a bit of the weird I used to like there.
I love shopping here for three reasons: the clothes, the prices, and the staff. There is such a fun and tasteful assortment of apparel and accessories here and all very reasonably priced. And the staff couldnt be nicer. Theyve been so friendly and accommodating when Ive shopped there with my toddler.
Worst experience ever!! Dont even waste your time here, youre better off going to a turnstyle or other consignment. Buffalo whatever completely wasted my time. First of all, I came in with a haul of CLEAN, Freshly pressed, Full variety of Sizes, ALL name brand, Barely worn/basically New, CLEAN, Trendy, In season clothing and accessories... They didnt take one single item. Meanwhile, two of the two women ahead of me were offered $9-14 for a merely one or two items. I strongly believe this place is prejudice of certain types of people. I came in with others, yet Id seen no one in any likes SIMILAR to me. They should be ashamed, and I will never go here again. Neither should you..oan did I mention that they wont even accept donations? I obviously wanted this stuff gone, money or no money. Dont waste your time
Annoyed at every single staff member when each of them asked me if I had any crazy plans for the rest of the weekend....all in the same day. I have come here more than five times with friends and each time it gets worse. I think each time, Oh, maybe it will get better, but NOPE. The staff is incredibly fake and judgmental. So tired of coming here and being given dirty looks and being treated poorly. I officially hate this place. Not coming here anymore.
It was very colorful to say the least. I had fun looking around. It was clean and organized and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Some stuff in there seemed over price for used/ 2nd hand stuff, but the items were also almost like new, and there were plentiful unique and nostalgic items all over which made it fun to look around.
If youre trying to sell clothes here, dont! There are so many other places that will show you more respect! Instructions they gave on their website is completely different than what they do in the store. I wasted my time, gas and effort coming here. Terrible. Never going back.
Super friendly staff and unbeatable deals - have found many high quality designer items for under $100, and super unique items that have a special place in my closet.
No parking in the only parking lotNo trying on clothes before paying.Ugly shirts nothing really for men here
The store is popular and has some okay stuff, but the service felt a little bit condescending and weird. I brought in two large bags of things to sell, and the woman working the register only purchased maybe four of the twenty or so things I brought in. She blatantly called some of the clothing items I brought in “worn” even though some had only been worn less than two-three times, and she asked me if I had any “crazy plans” for the rest of the day more than once. She purchased the high-end stuff I brought in but I was offered a very minimal amount of cash, maybe 1/16 of the original cost of everything that was barely worn. She then sloppily threw everything she didn’t buy back in my bag. Probably wouldn’t do this again, I felt kind of ripped off. Some of the things I brought in that were turned down were of higher quality than store-brand things on the racks. Maybe I would have had a different experience had the cashier been different.
Bought a pair of jeans I liked when I went to put them on I noticed the sensor was still attached. I had to drive down from Ramsey to return it. Almost an hour of driving. Was very inconvenient
Its a crapshoot. On the one hand, you can get a well-made leather jacket for $40 instead of $300. On the other, they sell a t-shirt for $15, that shouldnt have cost more than $10 when it was new. Youre also better off burning your clothes to power your steam engine than bothering to sell them here. Youll just end up carrying 90% back out with you, while getting about $1 for every $5 theyll sell of what they took (That reads oddly, but you know what I mean.)
You will find tons of steals here. I am a huge fan of fashion and love stumbling upon designer brands for less. Lots of hidden gems in this store!! Also the staff is super helpful :)
Packed full with clothes - but can be a little messy because of it. Friendly staff, lots of styles and price points to choose from.
I sold a few things here. Dakota is amazing! She was very friendly. The second time I went here the woman who was working was rude and called 3 other people ahead of me. She said she was from Houghton Michigan, cant remember her name. When I asked if I was supposed to sit in a certain spot so they know who is next she said they call people up in any order. Doesnt make sense! Shouldnt it go in order who came first?
I LOVE or maybe loved this place previously but my last experience brought on a surprising level of disappointment - not only with selling items, but also their selection. I brought in a bag of clothes, a bag of accessories and a brand new pair of heels, still in the box. I dropped them off and was excited to wonder the store (I also have a $50 gift card burning a hole in my pocket as well). As I looked around I was excited to see the accessories - they have a great selection - but then I started looking at the price tags...$11 for a necklace, $17 for a pair of obviously worn shoes...then I saw a pair of sandals, TARGET sandals for $9.50 from two summers ago. Are you kidding? TARGET brand anything, 2nd hand, for over $8 is insane, no matter what it is. I can go on Amazon and get the same quality of merchandise NEW for that - AND fee shipping, AND then I dont have to use gas or my time either! The dresses were the same, many low brand items, priced over $10 and they werent that well taken care of either. And let me tell you - anything youre trying to sell that has a stain on it - please, dont be pretentious enough to sell it for over $12. Just dont. Then, the nice gal at the front desk politely told me that they didnt want anything I had - which I am typically TOTALLY fine with hearing, no problem - but comparing what I had - many higher quality items, barely worn - to what they were attempting to sell at prices I can get all those items at on a good clearance day...I left confused on disappointed.Over all I have to say this round, I was highly disappointed with what they were trying to sell at the prices they were doing so. I understand that Uptown is growing and changing, but why you didnt want my $120 ALDO heels I wore once for a wedding this year, but you bought someones TARGET sandals, from 2 summers ago, and tried to sell them instead? You have got to be kidding.I do plan to try again in a few weeks - hoping for better luck next time!
It was pretty busy for a Tuesday afternoon. I had to wait, which is fine. Seems like there pretty short staffed. Called ahead of time to see what they wanted. Claimed there interested in buying mens summer and fall clothing. They didnt buy a single item from me. It was like the lady was just too lazy to do the work and wanted to get through the line. Good help is hard to find I guess. We all have our bad days. Doubt Ill ever come back. P.S what is with all these fake reviews? Seems like a pretty desperate way to bump scores. You are what you are.
A curated second hand clothing store. You dont go here for the prices, you go here for the unique items without the hassle of hunting. Good for specific items, but dont expect a bargain. Ladies selection is much more fun than the mens.
I received great service up until the point were the woman who may have been the manager approached the counter after telling one of her staff members to go elsewhere. we than from her received pore customer service and what felt like racial profiling. My clothing items were denied. All of the items of clothing me and my mother had brought in too sell, most in which had never been worn and still had the tag, were denied without explanation. we are unsure on whether we were given pore customer service and the denial of our items because we are minorities or because she is just a hateful person who picked us to direct that energy towards, either way is terrible and I personally would not recommend them to anyone else.
Super crowded and alright selection smells like a hippys dirty sock after a four day fest... So I mean its pretty legit. 😉
Only reason I dont give them a 5 is because of their prices. I bought 3 shirts and a pair of jeans for around 53 dollars. For a consignment/thrift store thats a bit high, but they can definitely get away with it! Their selection is very unique and I will absolutely go back when I need a standout piece!
Ive had some great jewelry finds here, but not so much luck with clothes. The staff that works here is awesome though!
I love this place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Such nice stuff. Its like Platos Closet... Except WAY nicer stuff. And cooler staff. They were soooooo helpful and friendly! I cant wait till Im in the neighborhood again so I can stop in and buy stuff!!!!!
Staff/Managment is very unprofessional. My friend has been trying to get a job from this place for months. They have blown off interviews, not returned phone calls, and hung up on her many times. DO NOT APPLY HERE!!!! They will string you along like they are interested, but DONT BE FOOLED. I advise not to buy or sell here either they will rip you off.
By far the nicest staff Ive ever stumbled upon in the twin cities. Everyone says hello and its obvious they hire creative and nonjudgemental individuals. The clothing is a little overpriced, but Im still giving them 5 stars.
A very cool vintage store, you can sell your old clothes there as well! Every time Ive gone, theyve had a great selection and great service.
Often overpriced based on the fact it is second hand . Maybe okay for designer prices , but 75% if the items you could buy for nearly the same price off the rack brand new at the store they came from . I️ find items from target , forever 21, H&M, Nike, etc. that I️ could purchase brand new for the same price . Some good finds . Staff is knowledgeable
Im honestly so surprised this place has good reviews. Every time I go in there, it just validates why I should never go back. Everything is SO JUNKY - holes and stains and just clothes in poor quality overall. Not to mention, its terribly overpriced. Id way rather spend the time to go through stuff at Turn Style or Nu Look consignment. This place sucks.
Always a good, rotating selection. Every time Ive been in Ive found a pair of shoes that originally sold for over 300 dollars that I bought for around 40 bucks! One of the best priced Buffalos Ive been to.
Good selection of quality vintage clothing. Prices are fair. Location accessible with street parking. Friendly staff.
My experience with buffalo exchange today was less than appropriate. “Alex” with the fitting room department discriminated me. Of all the available dressing rooms she put me at the very first one. I brought 4 items to try on, of the 4 I returned 3. I had the 4th around my neck. As I walked away she raised her voice and said she had to COUNT how many items I had. She counted how many I had going in, counted how many I gave her I didn’t want, and STILL has the audicity to discriminate and make me seem like I’m stealing.I am brown and have pride in that. I have never in my years of shopping with buffalo exchange and nieghbouring retail stores have ever had a racist experience. The uptown area is known for its diversity and acceptance of all colors and preferences. I can’t rationalize supporting “Alex’s” racist agenda, I wonder how many other customers she has discriminated and humiliated. I don’t think she will be changing her ways any time soon. What I find the worst is why she feels so confident discriminating in front of all her coworkers and diverse customer base. I plan on returning the jeans I bought today. I’ve enjoyed shopping at buffalo exchange for years, but I can’t tolerate being disrespected for the simple reason I am of color.I’d like to say directly to Alex I’m not sure why you dislike me, or why you felt the need to label me as a potential thief, but it’s not cool and I don’t want to experience that again.
The inconsistency when selling at this location is a problem. Some employees will take the time to go through each clothing item. But mostly, the staff will just remove clothes from bags without so much as a glance, then send you on your way with a smug remark. I have sold clothes they initially rejected just based on who is working. As for buying, the clothing selection is a hit or miss.
Very fun environment and looks good after the recent remodel. For thrifting purposes, it is expensive, but for shopping it is perfect. I picked up a pair of chocolate dress shoes for 48, full price of 300-400.
Very disappointed with the service I have received my past couple visits. I have been coming to buffalo exchange since 2015 regularly and bought many clothes and supported this business for years. As of now I am never going back and I would advise that people go support other consignment or thrift stores. The first time I experienced terrible service was about one week ago when I went to this store with my Uncle. So my uncle who is Native American was sent to sell his wife’s authentic Louis Vuitton purse, since she bought it impulsively a few years ago and never touched it and wanted to sell it and buy a new purse with it.Hearing this I told my uncle that there is this really good store that I frequently go to and recommend he come here with me to sell it, even if only for store credit since they have nice stuff. When we arrived to try and sell this item multiple ladies at the store stared at him as if he was some sort of vagrant thief. He went to talk with the buyers and After a few minutes of waiting she took a look at the purse for under 30 seconds. She briefly just touched the inside without looking at labels or anything and told him it’s fake ,since :”Louis Vuitton doesn’t feel like that.” and that she won’t offer anything on it. This was extremely ignorant and offensive and proved that their buyers have no knowledge of luxury items since this item was a limited edition Authentic Louis Vuitton that was made with a different material rather then the ‘iconic Louis Vuitton bag’Rather then just saying that they weren’t interested in buying it she told him that it’s a fake and that it is illegal to sell. This was offensive since he himself actually had the receipt for this item at home and spent his own hard earned money years ago to purchase this item for his wife and still had receipts to prove his purchase. Just earlier this same day we were at another consignment store that specializes in luxury handbags and where it’s their job to spot fakes and were offered 750$ but he thought he could get more. The fact that the buyer didn’t even actually look at his item but just glanced at him and told him that it was fake is all the proof you need to know that this store has extremely discriminatory and bigoted business practices. For some reason I was so naive that I put a few items on hold and was willing to give this store another chance. I wanted to bring some of my own items I had been wanting to sell since I had grown out of them, not due to the condition or quality of the clothes and possibly purchase a few items I put on hold. So I went to the store with a fairly large bag of clothing that consisted of Men’s Clothings from Brands such as; Calvin Klein, Banana republic, Ralph Lauren, Multiple brands from Macy’s, a few pairs of basic shorts, pants and shirts, and even two designer shirts, one Armani and the other from Hugo Boss. My girlfriend who is Latina was with me and I have a feeling this caused my treatment.I was shocked and told her that she didn’t even look through the bag and she told me: “I’m sorry but these items aren’t trending so I can’t offer you anything.” I was in disbelief that she disrespected me like this ,instead of taking a couple minutes to actually look through my items and then decide if she wanted to purchase anything, she just tossed the two least valuable items from The top and said she won’t offer anything. After this she didn’t take the time to even properly fold the items and put them in the bag. She threw them on top all wrinkled and handed it too me and said have a good one rather then listening to anything I had to say and moved on to the next customer.Sorry for the long post but I want more people to know about the way this company treats their customers and how they immediately dismiss, assume the worst and disrespect minorities or the people who associate with them. This company lost a long time customer, and I will go out of my way to advise everyone to boycott this business if they care about how companies practice equity and believe in equality.
Loved it
You can find some really nice pieces here for cheap, but you can also find some pieces that are cheap brands that are marked up way too high for what they are. The selection there is usually pretty nice, you sometimes just have to be there at the right time.
I think this place must have gotten a new manager because the selection has gotten sooooo much better; its not just a bunch of basic girl clothes anymore, there is some actual variety. Much appreciated.
The exchange rate is not just. The exchange I got was very unfair. I recommend selling elsewhere.
Workers were friendly and helpful. Found a sweet packers flannel for a great price.
The staff is friendly and willing to help a regular shopper find some hidden gems.
NEVER GO HERE trying to sell!!!! Avoid at all cost!! The “buyers” are INCREDIBLY rude and unprofessional!! Don’t even take the time to look at basically NONE of the items brought in! Brought in BRAND NEW, tags still on Banana Republic pants and they were “worn and fading”! Oh, also “out of style” BRAND NEW pants!! Without even unfolding them and even really looking at em!! So passed on all of em... BRAND NEW pair of Nike’s men shoes, worth about $150.. made an offer of $10!!!! No THANKS!! Not even worth it!!Seriously!! NEVER GO HERE TO SELL!! It is a complete waste of time and you will be disappointed!!! Absolutely ridiculous! Just turn it into a regular thrift store and just ask for donationsThe business is laughable at best
Love this place, get the majority of my clothing here. A great staff and a great setup.
My wife and me have, in the past had some very good experiences at this location the staff was friendly took the time to really look through the items we brought in and would have a very good selection of items. Our last visit (1/10/18) however was the complete opposite. Once we entered the store the woman (with a bowl cut) looked extremely annoyed at the amount of items we brought in which was a supstantial amount but guess what it is part of your job. Which putting it simply she decided not to do her job. We brought in inbetween 150-200 items and it took her under 10 minutes to go through all of them. We watch her as she was going through them and she pull a clump of clothes out of the bag and just shove them into another one instantly. Not taking the time to look at them, check the brands (which over half of them were expensive brands like Free People and most of them still had the tags on) such a disappointing experience if you are planning on selling clothes here don’t waste your time.
Buffalo exchange rules! The town of Buffalo is great, too!
Not impressed. I brought a bunch of stuff to sell trying to get a feel for what they buy and not one item was taken. I called before coming asking if there was anything they didnt want, the girl on the phone said to bring it all in. What a waste of time! I asked what they do buy, she said current trends like the kind of stuff you see new in the stores now, then I asked if they take vintage and she said occasionally! What? Um ok...if you are selling, dont bother....I dont even want to buy here.
Great palace! where you can find great buys.
I brought in some items to sell, felt like they passed up some good name brand good quality items but my guess is that they’re over stocked, workers were nice, would go back.
