The staff at this location are amazing, I had a pawn there and when I wanted to pick my pawn up, the COVID quarantine hit, even though they were closed for two weeks and opened back up, the owner was so nice that not only did he not charge me any additional interest during the closure and an additional two weeks they were open that I did not know they were open for, but he gave me a discounted price and over 150.00 off of what I should have paid. The owner made a lot of accommodations for me and I am extremely grateful!

I just purchased a ring from Michael (the owner) over the internet and my experience was nothing short of remarkable! Michael was easy to talk to and extremely knowledgeable about his product. I just had a really nice experience with Uptown Pawn! After getting quotes on a gold necklace at 5 places, I came back here to sell it to them because they had the 2nd best price. (The best price was only $5 more and a much further drive away) The nice guy at Uptown Pawn asked me if I wouldnt mind sharing the other quotes I received at the other 4 places. When I told him, he said he would match the best price plus he gave me an additional $5! He was a very pleasant guy and said he would just appreciate future business and asked me if I would give him a good online review. I am doing that because they certainly deserve it!!

Came in to look at a camera they had advertised. It sold just before we got there. The owner found another camera like the one we went in for, and gave us a great deal on it. Very nice people to deal with. Will most definitely be returning in the future.

I honestly believe everyone who rates and comments on here are family and friends of people at this shop, iv been here over a dozen times they want buy anything from me period and everything I bring in is valuable I do my research before calling or going in. They didnt want to take my $700 Toshiba laptop cause it was a Windows 8 but was updated too Windows 10 with a new processor i installed myself but he didnt give me a chance to even let him know that. Than I call today about a brand new echo dot I have with box and original paper work that came with it and proof of purchase and he says we only take if its new n I took out box to test, he says aww well we want take it. Good place to pick up cheap video games for all platforms! Staff is friendly and helpful, unlike at max-it pawn where you are greeted with contempt for asking a question. This place gives me the most loan money for my items. I was glad to read another review that also said this was hands down the best pawnshop in the TCs. That and the owners willingness to respond to these reviews and try and make things right make this no contest.

Wow, Wow, Wow. This place is straight up honest. They have very clean inventory. They have very cool stuff. They have one hell of a sneaker collection that continues to grow. And they have a great family type vibe.Ill go into more detail below. But, to give you an idea about their loyalty and honesty and level of trust, as soon as I made them aware that I was very interested in an item I found online that they had posted, they immediately took it offline so nobody else could get it before me. And, this was an item I know would have sold quickly. It was a commercial grade Husqvarna Backpack Leaf Blower 570BTS. Fall has hit, leaves are falling, and this item is in demand RIGHT NOW.Its been about 10 years since I bought my first house. At the time, I was nervous about how I would manage the snow removal. I stopped into Uptown Pawn and found a used snow blower that fit my extremely thin budget. I remember the owner assuring me it would work great and he even offered me a three day return policy. I took it home, added fresh gas, and it started right up. I think the snowblower had to be about 10 years old at the time I bought it. Well, here we are 10 years later, and I am still using the same snowblower to clear my driveway.Fast forward to this week. I stopped into a competing pawn shop near my office that had a going out of business sale happening. I didnt really need anything, but I am always hunting for a good deal. I walked in and the first thing that caught my eye was a gas powered echo backpack leaf blower. The staff was not very helpful at this other pawn shop, I asked how much for the blower, they quoted about $25 off what the price tag said (less than a 10% discount). Not much of a going out of business sale...But after sleeping on it overnight, I went back the next afternoon to make the purchase. To my dismay, they had sold it earlier that morning.Now, i was slightly devastated. I know, its only a leaf blower, but I fell in love. I immediately starting searching the internet for another one that would fill that void in my life. To my surprise, Uptown Pawn had just listed one about 4 hours earlier. I called the store and spoke with the owner. He made me an unbelievable deal. I drove straight to Uptown Pawn and brought it home. My hope is that this added addition to my small engine toys will last another 10 years. Based on the service and quality you will find at Uptown Pawn, I dont have a doubt that it will. These guys are super unfriendly. Not knowledgeable at all. I called before I went they told me that they purchase the item I was looking to sell once I got there they told me they dont buy those items. They are super friendly to Mexicans the only reason I know that is because Spanish is my second language and they where super nice to the Latinos but me plus the two other white people got terrible customer service. I will never go back to that tiny shop.

Life has been tough, maxed out credit living pay check to pay check. Sometimes being able to feed myself and pay the bills is impossible. Uptown pawn has given me the ability to narrowly make it by. Things like bouncing checks, skipping payments, dealing with late fees could make life even harder than it already is. Uptown pawn is a safe, friendly, honest pawn shop that has always giving me a fair rate. Sometimes it gets busy but all and all the people who work there really do try their hardest to help everyone as fast as reasonably possible. Out of every pawn shop you could go to I would suggest this one if not for the fair rates consider this would you rather go to a cookie cutter pawn shop or go somewhere the people will be honest, patient, and actually work with you to help you pay a bill, sell an item or pick up a good deal from the various items they offer. I want to say a personal thank you to uptown pawn for helping me without a doubt you have saved me several times and I really refuse to go to any other pawn shop.

I was very disappointed in an online sale by Steve. He told me that he would send me a fitbit ionic and if sent when he said I would have had it 2 days later at the latest(even with the slowest delivery in Minnesota) and over a week has passed since i sent the payment with no item. Since I live in Mankato I was expecting a prompt delivery. After contacting it has been over a week with no reply and no return of funds. Sorry but if this is how you run a business I am very disappointed with your effort or communication.

I wanted to sell some gold jewelry but wasnt sure about the carat weight. I took it to one dealer who said it was 18K and they gave me a price that I thought was too low. I called Uptown Pawn and they quoted me a much better price based on what I thought I had. When I took the gold to their store they checked the weight and told me it was actually 22K! They imediately increased their offer based on the higher quality of gold. I was very impressed by their honesty and integrity. KARE11 was right, Uptown Pawn gives the best price and has great serivce.
