It has a more limited selection, but they do them well. Also sometimes they do fun weird seasonal drinks. They also do punch cards which means I have to keep going back because Im a completionist.

Great place with great coffee. I was there for a couple of hours to work and the wifi didnt have any trouble. The shop aesthetic was very pleasing to be in. I would totally go again.

On an overcast day after spending some time outdoors in the chilly Spring air I needed something to warm up. Being the closest coffee shop, a friend and I decided Dogwood was the destination. She immediately was drawn to the spumoni latte special, while I couldnt say no to the brown sugar cardamom latte (a favorite combo of mine). The barista was friendly and gracious despite seemingly being the only person working at a rather busy time, and boy did they make some amazing coffee! Their Rwanda single source beans are terrific for coffee at home as well. And to top it off, another customer complimented me and my friend on our outfits as we enjoyed our coffee outside. In summary: great coffee and flavor combos, excellent staff, and lovely (from what I could tell) customer base

I love dogwood in general but this location is my go to! They can be busy and always move ppl through quickly. They have delicious specialty drinks year round and the baristas are the best!

Dogwood Coffee is a nicely designed, clean, well lit coffee shop. It has an open and modern look that is inviting to visitors and natural light. The seating options are excellent because youll probably find comfort here regardless of what type of coffee shop experience your looking for. There are a couple of small tables outside in front of the shop. On the inside there are high chairs along the counter in back, there are larger tables in the center that encourage interaction and conversation, and there are also small booths that are made cozy by lighting and warmth. There service is great and high quality and the products are delightful.

Loved this coffee shop! Drip coffee and a cappuccino are my go-to, but our friends ordered the spumoni latte and I had drink-envy. Beautiful and unique shop worth stopping on your way to Minnehaha Falls.

Fun local coffee shop. Quite a few tables, booths, and bar area for studying with outlets, public WiFi, good spot to study or meet with friends. They serve wine, beer, and cider, baked goods, hard boiled eggs, fruit, yogurt with granola and others. Northstar Kombucha on tap. Students get 10% discount! And BYOMug for 25 cents off. Lots of coffee and espresso options as well as teas, matcha, golden milk, hot chocolate and seasonal drinks. They use Autumnwood Farm milk which I love and they also have Oatly oat milk or soy or almond milk options. And its connected to a cool artsy gift shop. Free street parking out front. And friendly baristas! Music was loud so I wasnt able to listen to my own.

Love this place and come here all the time to work. Good music, fast wifi, nice teas, affable and genuine baristas. To top it all off, their vegan cubano is the best sandwich Ive ever had in my whole damn life - and Im not even vegetarian.

Very cool, modern-looking cafe with friendly staff and I had a delicious iced almond milk chai latte! Super fast service too! Love that they have compost bins and that their drinks come in compostable cups and compostable straws too! (Even though compostable to-go ware is required in Minneapolis, not all places have followed through, leading to reduced food inspector scores for them). Also got some fresh pressed juice, but wish they would stock up on a locally-made juicery brand such as Truce!

Really nice coffee shop. I had a latte with lavender vanilla flavor and it was quite good.The barista was super nice and friendly and provided great customer service.I really appreciated the fact they have both recycling and composting containers in the store, so to lessen the amount of garbage!They also have kombucha and beer on tap.

Seth, Dani, Zach, and Ezra are always super friendly, helpful, conversational, and speedy! Love coming here for the kombucha, coffee, chai, bakery items and sandwiches, its all so good, and modestly priced!

Wow! What a great coffee / coworking spot. It’s a small building in an unassuming part of town, but it really delivers. Gorgeous interior with great style & art. The coffee was d e l i c i o u s. There’s tons of room to spread out your things & study or work. Lots of light & outlets and high dividers that give you privacy from the others. Has a little bit of a warehouse feel, but it’s also cozy. Friendly baristas.

Friendly staff, great drinks, and nice booths with outlets and lights for studying. I spend a LOT of time here and have always had a great experience. I have a couple coffee shops closer to my house but I come here for the staff and studying spots. I just wish they had more food throughout the day, sometimes they sell out pretty early. I would love if they had soup and sandwiches all day...then this place would be perfect!

Great place for some great coffee! I go here relatively often as its close to me, and the coffee and service never disappoints! I highly recommend checking this place out if youre in the area. Just know that seating can be a little tricky at busier times of the day.

Up north for a concert and found Dogwood Coffee and thought I’d give it a shot. Love the unique for here cups, great espresso — rich and smooth. Not bitter and very clean finish. I got the honey latte made with soy milk. The gentleman working with a solid beard was friendly. I’d i lived up here this definitely would be a spot I would frequent.I came when it was slow so it was nice to relax by myself.

Staff is always super friendly. Several great coffee drink options to choose from. No free refills on a house cup of coffee, but its pretty reasonably priced. They do have other beverages like beer and kombucha. Lots of seating and natural lighting. Only downside is a limited selection of food/snacks.

Love this place! You can tell when coffee and espresso are made with care and from good quality beans, and the drinks at Dogwood definitely meet that bar. The space is beautiful and not too loud. A good place for a meeting between 2 or 3 people, or some quiet study or reading. Its attached to a neat home goods store, which is fun to browse.

Dogwood puts together just the perfect espresso, and you can buy beans to take home as well. My barista was kind and very skillful. Served with a bump of sparkling water for optimal flavor.

This is the Dogwood that’s closest to my house, so obviously the one I frequent the most! The espresso is always great, the brewed coffee is always dialed, and every barista (past or present) is super friendly. I’m taking my mom here tomorrow.

I love Dogwood. The coffee is consistently amazing, the staff friendly, and the atmosphere fun and funky. Its a great place to work, meet up with friends, and enjoy the neighborhood. The space had recently expanded into the adjacent shop, and Im excited to learn whats next!

Cute coffee shop and delicious coffee! I dont remember what I ordered, but I remember staring at the menu for a few minutes having a hard time deciding. I stopped in to work for a couple hours, and loved the setup of the space. I will be returning next time Im out of the home office!

Spyhouse better watch out. Dogwood serves a cup that is equal to the quality of theirs! Definitely the best cup Ive had south of downtown and east of 35. This is a big place with a nice quiet reading section.

The barista was quite helpful and prompt. She really cares about the customer experience and took great care to ensure the coffee was just right, carefully measuring out the grounds, temp on the milk. A great latte, for sure, high recommend.

This place is great! I spend a good amount of time here doing work or just enjoying the morning. Comfortable cool place, and has some nice outdoor seating. The drinks are awesome and the staff is solid and friendly!

Coffee is really nice. The ambiance is good, although with Hi-Lo opening, it has sort of become a waiting lobby for anyone getting a table over there. If you have trouble being around hipsters and excessive amounts of Apple products, probably isnt the best place for you. I find it to be calm and nicely temperature controller; something that is somewhat hard to find in coffee shops. I do wish there was better lighting, or the option for better lighting, in the two 4-person booths. Theyre great to work at, as there is plenty of room to spread out, but theyre mostly just too dim to actually use for extended periods. A single light above them would make a huge difference.

The best coffee in the twin cities hands down! Splurge and get a pour over to treat yourself to some of the most flavorful coffee you have ever had. Trust me - you will NOT be disappointed!!

Dogwood on East Lake is my favorite coffee shop in the entire world. I have traveled all over the United States, and quite a lot through Europe; I have not found better coffee anywhere. When I visit a coffee shop I havent been to before, I hold it up against Dogwood to determine whether I like it or not. Everything they do here is absolutely without fault: the espresso has a floral character that makes me feel like Im drinking a rose garden. It blends perfectly with the steamed milk, and all of the baristas are masters of their craft (theyre all unusually kind people as well). The cold brew is strong, smooth, and yes, they have it on nitro. The pour-overs are complex, and each roast has its distinct character making it worthwhile to try each one. I have nothing negative to say about this place. Ive been in hundreds of times over the past three years, and never had a single unpleasant experience here. Understand, however, that this review is not for Dogwood as a company; Im speaking only of this one location. I have been to all of their spots around here in the twin cities, and the one on East Lake is the best by far. You will never regret coming here.

I love the coffee and the friendly service. Whats wrong with the place is definitely the restroom situation. The mens restroom is more accessible than the womens restroom.

I was under the impression that this café would be a fun combination of coffee and throwing wooden sticks for dogs to fetch. I was sadly mistaken. It is BYODAWS (bring your own dog and wooden stick), as every other coffee shop in Minneapolis is. Oh well. Coffee is amazing though, I’d recommend it to anyone.

Excellent core coffee drinks (espresso, cappuccino, nitro cold brew). Even the drinks which are outside of my normal coffee range (read: adulterated, flavored) are well crafted, balanced beverages. The lines can be cumbersome at peak hours. However, I have never waited too long, and it is worth it.

Coffee brewed in-store is quite good, hot and strong. But the prices are a bit over the top. I think it was $4.50 for a tall coffee (not even a fancy one, just a plain coffee). This wont be an everyday stop at those prices.

The Buddha said to live is to suffer. But, oh boy, this place makes me forget all about that. I stop in for a quick to-go cup frequently, and because theyre close, I occasionally go in to relax and enjoy a pastry and friendly service along with a cup of what I think is the best coffee in town.

I assumed once might be a fluke but--for the second day in a row--my to-go cup from Dogwood starting leaking at its seam. Coffee began to drip faster and faster down my hand and arm.I hope that Dogwood will choose to alter either (1) their use of this particular cup, or (2) the temperatures at which they serve coffee in this cup. It would be great if I could drink the coffee I paid for instead of watching it leak and drip away wastefully.

Holy crap is this coffee gold?!? Cause thats what the prices feel like and after buying 12oz of the Costa Rica for my at home caffeinated enjoyment, it hasnt quite lived up to the $17 expectation. Maybe Im using too much water and trying to stretch these little beans for all their worth, or maybe these beans dont have the punch I paid for. That was my first and last time visiting this cozy little over priced joint.
