Have bought pork belly from here during COVID peak season and was very happy w/ the service and quality of meats. Finally ordered a sandwich from there and was glad I did. Roast beef was excellent.

Very impromptu lunch, only condition was no Mexican food. So burger and meats?Brought along my friend for his burger needs.This place fits my cooking needs probably to an unhealthy level. Instantly saw speck and pork back fat and I felt my knees get weak. Stay focused came for lunch...another time... Was debating between a few sandwiches and then spotted the friend chicken special. Yes. Please. Snagged a side salad with it. Friend got the burger and we split both.I like how they didnt ask for a temperature on the burger, just gave it to you at a beautiful medium. Succulent, moist, fatty goodness. I didnt add salt, I think I couldve, but thats just my hypertension telling me to do so. Great caramelized onions and fresh bread.Chicken sandwich was perfectly cooked along with the perfect amount of breading. I used my pickles for the burger but in reality the chicken needed them more. Now this sandwich couldve used a bit more salt or sauce. So added some hot sauce and then all was good.Side salad was a good healthy side and the dressing was light fresh.

The first ribeyes we bought here we thought, wow, we found our butcher! I have never had beef so perfectly delicious. We return, as my partner orders the guy is gruff and asked my partner if he was “waiting for the order,” yes was the answer and the guy storms off. Now, he just thought the guy was having a bad day until he gets home with the meats we ordered. I have photos of both the first ribeye and the second ribeyes: completely different and can *easily* be seen: the gruff guy gave us bad cuts. Not just the ribeyes either! A brisket unlike any brisket I’ve seen. I promptly put the brisket in the freezer thinking, oh well.We let the ribeyes come to room temp, salt and pepper only: this thing is so tough, and the cut was waaay off. I’ve never seen so much extra fat on a ribeye that clearly did not belong. $25 dollars a pound and not fit for a dog. I’m not kidding a little.I’m a cook, so I photograph a lot of our ‘exceptional’ finds. I have photographs of both the labels and the ribeyes themselves. Disgraceful to allow such disgruntled and rude people literally steal our money in exchange for outrageously poor cuts of beef, most especially for the prices we paid. Way to lose a client that lives for fantastic meat.Lets play spot the difference

Amazing quality meats, delicious sandwiches, soups and salads, great selection of cheeses and specialty food items. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff, and they now have a beer and wine license so you can enjoy the Michelada and breakfast sammy special for only $12! Erik and his staff also host classes, events, and do catering and pop up dinners with local chefs and restaurants.

Truly an excellent from scratch sausage shop. They have lots of other cuts of meat but for me the the hand made sausage is where its at.Some of my favorites are the Hmong made with lemon grass. The wild rice, and the spicy Italian with Basil and red wine.All complicated by artisan bread, fancy cheese, and a whole array of grab and go sandwiches. Highly recommended.

A meat lovers paradise. Unfortunately, I could only eat the bratwurst before falling into a food coma. It was delicious, and Im sure everything else they offer is as well.

A spectacular lunch of a Jersey Dew and a pint of potato salad. Everything was fresh and superb quality. Perfect picnic lunch!The Jersey Dew was about 2 feet long and can feed 4 to 8 people. My friend and I were hungry and split it between us, with 2 or 3 segments leftover. Gourmet ingredients, including premium cold cuts and homemade pickles. They didnt list a cheese, but Id suspect gruyere. The potato salad was fresh; great crunch, refreshing dill, and tender skin-on potatoes. The potato salad was light instead of heavy dressing like bulk potato salad.

Honestly one of the best cheeseburgers anywhere! This is a top 5 burger in Minnesota hands down. Everything they do here is quality. Lowry Hill is a modern butcher shop, with excellent cuts of meat, excellent sandwiches. I also love their chocolate chip cookies. Go and get a cheeseburger here, you will thank me later. Its up there with the Parlor burger, the Nook, and Lions Tap.

If heaven exists Id imagine its something similar to Lowry Hill Meats. This place is a true blessing to have in this neighborhood. Every single item they stock is likely going to be the best thing youve ever eaten. Jam, mayo, bread, pasta, drinks, or whatever. The owner and staff are extremely passionate about high quality, locally sourced food and their inventory reflects that. The same goes for their meat, buy some ground beef, its the best ground beef youve ever had. And so it goes. Their sandwiches are all carefully crafted to perfectly blend different flavors together. This will likely be my only review, because 5 stars doesnt do LHM justice, and having it stand alone as the only establishment Ive given a review to will have to suffice. Thank you Lowry Hill Meats.

Burgers were amazing!! Texting in an order was extremely easy.

First time trying them ordered some ground beef as well as some rosemary sausages. Pre-ordered through their text line which went smoothly and order was promptly confirmed. When I arrived I was told my order did not exist and waited 20 minutes on the curb for it to be filled. Ground beef went rancid overnight in the fridge (never had this happen before in my life) and the sausages were so salty we could not eat more than two bites.Decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and returned for some different sausages and to try a sandwich for which it seemed everyone came there. The sandwich was a pile of grease, so much so half of it ended up getting tossed out. The Toulouse sausage was again so incredibly salty and flavorless it was inedible. Disappointing considering how good it smelled cooking and the fact that cassoulet is one of my favorite dishes.Perhaps I am trying the wrong « cuts » but for the time being I will not return.

Ive always loved the place but they have really upped their game with pantry /grocery items during COVID-19. The meat you get here is delicious and simply the best because of the way it is raised and from what I understand its all local. I always enjoy what I cook from their ingredients. Sandwiches and beer offerings for lunch are great too, I love the pork sandwich which powered my birthday picnic, I highly recommend. I would also check your order if you have a larger order to ensure everythings there, theyre pretty busy during this time.

THE BEST ground beef and hot dogs. Their homemade american cheese is fantastic. Pre covid times (remember those?), they had a sausage making class that I gifted to someone who raved about it. Weve also used them for casual catering and the catered food was both reasonably priced and fantastic.

I had heard that their hamburger/ cheeseburger was good, so I stopped and had a basic cheeseburger and fries. Both were excellent. One of the best burgers in town. Very friendly staff, too. Didn’t shop for any take home meats, but definitely will come back to do so.

Didnt get everything we ordered, items we ordered were bland, place seems pretentious, waited in line for 30 minutes to pick up a pre-order and when we we finally made it to the counter, we were rushed out (so wasnt offered time to confirm the order....which was incorrect), and the cashier asked for a tip. Yikes.

The best butcher shop in the Twin Cities. Period. Eric and his team are first class and their products are all of the highest quality. He doesnt put anything on the shelf he wouldnt use at home. More than the products, its a place to hang out and feel welcomed. I love going in chatting with the guys and gals (shout out to Emily) and eating a sandwich. So much love and respect for these guys.

If I could give this place more than five stars I would. Amazing butcher. AMAZING JERKY. Amazing sandwiches and burgers. A true hidden gem in the city. I eat here for lunch at least once a week.

I dont want to be misleading. Ive never eaten there or had their food. I make deliveries there. The staff is always very kind and very friendly. They seem like a very fun Bunch. Although Ive never eaten there, based on my experience with them as a delivery person, I would really enjoy doing that sometime! Maybe Ill have to make a point of doing that! Again very friendly, very fun staff and atmosphere!

I love this place. When were on the mood for really good burgers well make the trek to uptown to buy ground beef and American cheese here... You cannot beat it. Their bacon and homemade broths are also fantastic.

So I went here religiously for a long time because I love the roast beef sandwich that was super juicy/meaty and genuinely my fave thing to eat. Boyfriend and I had tradition of getting one before concerts and did this for a year and a half. The prices used to match the quality. But the last two I have gotten have skimped soooo much on the meat and other parts of the sandwich that it’s such a disappointment! If you are going to lower your ounces of meat on sandwiches on average then lower your price!! I really don’t want to find a new favorite :( and no one tell me it’s the same because I literally have probably had that sandwich at least 20 times.

We had lunch at Lowry Hill Meats yesterday and the sandwiches we all excellent. The children loved their Grilled Cheese and the Meatball sandwich was to die for! We purchased some breakfast sausage and cooked it up this morning and I will say it was the best sausage I we have had, well worth the price. My family and I cannot wait to go back again to purchase more of their outstanding meat!

They know their meat. Proprietor always has interesting insight about the cuts he has and good descriptions of lesser known cuts that help understand their profile.

House made stock, which I havent tried yet but am looking forward to and appreciate that they have. But their beef jerky is the BEST Ive ever had. Its not too dry, but not greasy, no weird aftertaste. Great!

Terrific experience. The French exit and roast beef sandwiches were perfect for our lunches. Topped off with well made espresso beverages, we were perfectly satisfied. The knowledgeable butcher also allowed for a hand cut bone in ribeye that was fresh and well marbled. The price was well worth the quality. Great job, guys!

A few days before he passed, I was trying to think about where Id take Anthony Bourdain for breakfast if I was (for some reason) expected to be his liaison. Im ill equipped for such a task, but I feel confident wed have a winner with Lowry Hill Meats - come in on a weekend morning, order yourself a breakfast sandwich (its worth paying extra for both types of meat), a cold press - made in house - and a cookie for the road. Maybe a bottle of Crybaby Craigs hot sauce for home - youll want the sauce after tasting it on the breakfast sandwich. Dont forget to come back in for a burger - the pickles are divine.Of course, on top of ALL OF THAT theres a fantastic selection on the actual butcher side of things - dont forget to check the ever-changing selection of fresh-made sausages.

Love the look of this place and the sandwiches are amazing! Seriously worth every penny. You can tell that they put a lot of thought into everything they make. One of my favorite new lunch spots.

Great spot for well-sourced meats - beef, chicken, lamb, goat and more. They stock a good variety of fresh sausages as well as Red Table cured meats. Their sandwiches are tasty, but not as good as Clanceys. Neither is this place a bargain, like Finer Meat. But, for folks in the neighborhood, this is a great addition.

Asked for whole chicken completely cut into Medium pieces without skin . At first , he hesitatingly said he couldn’t be able to do as needed which suprised me as its a Butcher shop . Later, he said he would try his best and gave us just separated out legs, breast and back removing the skin. Didn’t get what i wanted , may be i mistaken them to be full service butcher shop :(

Ordered the Lowry burger.....might aswell have just went to McDonald’s. Barely any flavor and not to mention I felt like I just ordered a $15+ kids meal. Portion was terribleSuper artisanal Hipster Burgers not my thing . I’ll leave that too the Cash loaded idiots who live in the area

Best hotdogs Ive ever bought. They were huge and a hit at my BBQ but their hamburgers were a lot smaller than I would of liked, they tasted really good though.

I bought four kinds of sausage: breakfast, chorizo, Ukrainian, and a fourth (I cant remember). The breakfast was okay, the rest were basically inedible through a variety of cooking methods. Dry, flavorless with really weird texture. The price was high and the service was lackluster. I doubt Ill return.

Wow,, excellent sandwich! I got the Cubano sandwich really good! They use the locally sourced meats and what a difference heritage pork makes! Super friendly staff and very willing to help with any questions, I highly recommend visiting lowry hill meats really top shelf steaks chops and sausage, etc. Ill be back..

Burger was above average!

This place is an extremely overpriced joke. If you like paying double what you should, head on over. They dont even have a smokehouse on the premises. Chicken at $6/lb and cheese at $10.99/lb. You can get the exact same cheese at Cub or somewhere similar for nearly half that price. The ground beef is obviously very fatty and I was told it is basically made from scraps, not round or chuck specifically. This place is obviously for the people who live in this area and have way more money than sense.

The bar has been set WAY HIGH – Every cut of meat I take home and prepare is the next best meal that I have ever made.

Wow, just had their daily brat. Bread was anazing, the brat was servered sliced open, with an awesome sauce. I wasnt a fan of the slaw, or really any slaw, but my wife couldnt get enough of it. We will be back for more later in the week.
