Buyer beware! We purchased a cockatiel that became sick and died within 6 weeks of being our houseThe bird was visibly sick We brought the sick bird to the store on several occasions prior to dyingWe were basically ignored. I’ve called Simbad several times to inform themNo one from the store management returned our calls. We were denied any refunds when we spoke to them. Find somewhere else if you’re looking to purchase a bird.

The birds are pretty friendly and if u ask, you can hold them to get familiar with them. Prices are good. They show good care of their birds and are professional with their work. They also offer “guarantees”, before selling they usually vaccine the bird and check if its healthy. They also sell cages and bird supplies. So overall a pretty good bird store!

I love this place and have been coming here years before I ever had a bird of my own because they allow you to handle them and get comfortable with them. Horrible, they gave my bird a heart attack while cutting his nails, God knows what they truly did to him. They make you spend so much on a bird and kill them at the end. Go else where, trust me. I would give them a zero if I can.

My family has been shopping here for birds and bird supplies (cages, toys, food, etc) for more than 20 years. Know most of the staff and owner well. EXTREMELY knowledgeable about any kind of parrot as far as I know. Can answer just about any question you may have. Staff is incredibly nice and helpful, and they often have great sales. Very fun to come in and see the birds too from time to time. :)

Very clean place I was really surprised because birds make so much messes but it was really clean and it doesn’t smell like birds either. Good quality birds. Well taken care of. Have gone to this store for over 18 years looking to purchase a bird. Went 3 weeks ago and was presented a beautiful Caique that I fell in love with. When I was finally serious about purchasing, an hour later, I was told by another person there that it was on a 24 hour courtesy hold while the customer went home to discuss with partner. I asked if they left a deposit and I was told no, that they do this as courtesy even if I offered to purchase on spot. I told her I would call back the next day to see if bird was purchased. The next day I called and was told that the person did indeed purchase. I respected and liked how they stayed true tho their word.Well now I went back yesterday to look at birds and again fell in love with a Triton Cockatoo! Was told by everyone there that it was available, and again spent over an hour with the bird. I of course had to discuss with my wife since this was a large investment in time and money. They recommended that I put the Triton on hold so it wouldnt get sold. This was 4pm on Friday and they close at 6:30pm. They put my name down on the index card of the specific bird and I was going to give my phone number, but was told not needed. I told them Id be there the following morning at 10am when they open with my wife.Showed up as I said at 10am and then told bird was sold....someone came in a paid cash! Remember my first paragraph!!! I need to say no more except I was told it was someone close to the owner of the store!!! They said maybe I could wait for another one if available from a farm....really?? Cant say how disappointed I am with this store and they expect for me to spend money with them in the future. You either stay with your policy or not!! The owner should tell his friend, sorry, we have a courtesy hold for customers and sorry, cant sell the bird to you but I can find one for you because we know theyll always get a bird from him, but I certainly wont! They lost purchase of bird, caging, supplies and future boarding...so add that up! 10 minutes earlier owner on phone says theyll find another bird and then I ask to speak with him, then conveniently couldnt talk.This is my first review ever after 10 years with Yelp, but be warned, if you like the bird you better purchase on spot, otherwise who knows!!

I just bought a cockatiel and im waiting to pick him up. But overall the place was beautiful and the birds were whistling to my mom and you can tell they love their store ill leave a further review when i pick pikachu up! But really recommend this place!

WORST customer service from OWNER (white hair, older lady). The OWNER decided to criticize how I take of my bird in front of everybody in the store screaming instead of teaching us. DO NOT come here if you coming to learn or are looking for a good experience from the owner. If I could give a negative 100 I would. Employees are sweet and amazing but owner is horrible which is very sad ☹️☹️☹️😣 after amazing customer service from employees I came for years but after seeing the owner nasty service I’m never coming back again.

I always visit with my grandmother to go shopping for food. They have sales, great toys, good product and custom made items! The bird are very cute and their breeding is organized. As well, the boarding options keep the birds entertained with company.I am not familiar with boarding my own birds (4 small parrots), but based on their other services and experience, I would recommend them.

The employees don’t know what they’re talking about but if you talk to the owners or this oneguy who’s been there for 20 years they know everything about birds. I have a lovebird that I didn’t buy from them but when I went to get some things they really helped me out with learning how to take care of him. And I tried to do my own thing with getting my bird toys and food...it didn’t work out nearly as well as what they told me to buy and how to take care of my lovebird.

I cant speak from the pets price point of view but I can on the cages. The prices are way too high. You can find the same cages if not better and for a way better price online. Unless you are desperate and really have no choice but to buy a cage the same day, get that vaseline ready because you will need it when buying from this place. Youve been warned.

I went into the store one morning to get my little quakers wing clipped.. I didnt know if they did that but nonetheless I was gonna ask. As soon as I walked through the door with my bird clutched in my hands so she wouldnt fly away I got a rude remark. The owner immediately looked up at me and with an attitude asked Do you have a box for the bird and unknowingly I said No I dont. He then with a sour look and an attitude told me I needed to put my bird in a box to come in with him. I need a box for my bird to go in a petshop that specializes in birds.Why? I just left. I didnt reply or anything. I left. Ill find someone whos has better customer service.

I left a star because if not I cant leave feedback. I just purchase a blue quaker parrot and my wife wants a partner for her...I called and asked for prices and was told the store policy is not to give prices over the phone.off course they made me spend gas and time when I got there the most common quaker the green one was 200 dollars more than the ones I saw in the other store. The blue one was 250 more expensive that the one I bought no wonder they dont give prices

Food is fresh, plenty or varities and they have a concern for their birds and how the purchasers plan to care. They also have a wide number of species to look at before purchasing.

Do not go anywhere else! This is the place you need to get your birds. They really love their animals and they are truly professionals at it. Their birds are love and care for since the day they hatch. It shows in their temperament and in their health.Everyone there loves what they do and it makes a difference.The owners are always there. Taking care of their babies, Like they say!

Amazing Birds, clean store, knowledgeable employees, did I mention Amazing Birds of all variety and prices. They make sure each client is the right match for the bird, they have an area where you can sit and hold your bird for a while so you can get comfortable with each other before purchase. Very reputable store with many many years in the community.

I have just recently purchased a new baby Golden Conure from this place and I have known and shopped before at this establishment for about thirty years! You cannot find a better facility than this. It is spotlessly clean, hand fed birds are constantly given attention by the staff in a very loving and caring way. It is spotlessly clean! The birds, even the ones that they are pet caring for are in spectacular shape. Products are many varied and from great brands as well as very reasonable prices on cages and accessories that any bird lover would be very pleased with. Their baby birds are weaned before they are allowed to leave the premises and the staff is so friendly and accommodating. It is a wonderful place even to visit just to see and hear the beautiful birds at Sindbads.

Came here today to get a bird ,everything was great was looking around then we saw a bird we actually liked we were looking at it ,playing with the bird then all of a sudden one of the employees came over obviously saw us looking at the bird opened the cage and took the bird away to go play with it in the counter with the other employees,we thought she was taking it out for us too see ,it was extremely rude ,we left right after that and they knew we were mad because they were looking at us ,never coming here again.

Dont waste your time! After careful review and research, we have decided to get a parrot. Today my husband took the day off and our family drove an hour to get to Simbads. We were prepared to buy a cage, toys, and possibly a bird. As I got there, I really needed to use the restroom. They wouldnt let me. I told them wed driven an hour and were prepared to spend hundreds of dollars in their store, but they refused. They told me I could go across the six lane street and down a block to the gas station. Im handicapped and cant do that. Because wed gone to so much effort, I decided to quickly check the cages. The man helping me took a phone call and never came back. Very rude, very unwelcoming, and apparently they dont want our business.

A very clean pleasant place to go. Very friendly staff. But $50 More on a cockatiel than other pet shop.... to be fair its well worth it considering they groom you bird for life. All birds are tagged and come with a birth certificate.And a 5 day return policy and throw in a pound of food. They made a new customers today.......Ray

I went to buy my bird back in February and I do not regret getting my baby cockatiel. She is the absolute best, and she has been bred very well. I went in with very little knowledge, and the worker there helped me so much! They really do care about their birds, and make sure you are completely ready to receive your new family member. The nail and feather clippings are free after 2pm on weekdays! I will forever be a Simbads customer.

We have gotten all of our birds here and its a great place to learn about birds, decide what bird would be best for you, and take them back for care and boarding when needed. They love their business and it shows.

I Just left the shop we wanted to buy a bird there is no where that says not to get near or to not touch the birds the owner an american lady came in an toldmy husband with a nasty attitude mr do not touch and with hand gestures like if he was nothing super bad business she acted bit racist as some other people were touching the birds i was about to spend so much money on a place not worth it this lady needs better manners .

Like every other cuban place ... this people do not respect who is first in line. They will put any friends of them in front of you. I had an appointment at 2:00 and it was 2:20 and a lady came (Friends of one of the employees) with a quaker named (Martin) and they took care of her first than us. That is really messed up, the guy that did that was tall with a ponytail. Also very rude guy ... very beautiful place for such a disgrace.

I have been in this place twice and the staff members I have dealt with have always been rude and a bit stuck up. On top of that, they are one of the most expensive pet shops I have been to. There are other places where you will get more value for your money and better customer service. I only give 3 stars because the birds seem to be healthy but the workers need to come off their high horses and learn customer service skills.

I had a horrible experience with the owner today after simply asking her a question. She rudely started berating me, accusing me of not taking care of my birds properly. I will be taking my business elsewhere. My advice to the owner: stay in the back taking care of the birds and leave the handling of customers to someone with customer service skills.
