Just left Joanns store located at 436 Broadway Methuen, MA 01844 for the last time ! Likely the last time at Joanns . Stood in line behind one customer was waited on 27 minutes later while 2 other employees came to the other register, one simply said I am not waiting on you and walked away returning 15 minutes later to wait on my daughter and I, the other simply clocked out and left without calling for backup. Please note also no working bathrooms according to employees available due to flooding. Pictures to follow! Worst case of nonexistent customer service in history. Went back and reported this all to store manager who was at least contrite. Corporate officials via Twitter took the no responsibility approach saying we cant predict how busy times will be. There was plenty of staff just not aware of customer service. Awful!

Drove 30 min for a certain fabric, and the girl was so helpful to locate it for me! The cashier was super friendly, too!

Got coupons and using them before they expire. Place is extremely clean and well supplied.

I recently purchased over $200 of fabric and was told if the fabric did not work for what I was using it for i could return it no problem. Went back 2 days later to return with the same card I used on original purchase.On the back of the receipt it says something like returns made easy with a smile So i was no expecting any problems.I got to the store was was told they cannot refund on a debit card and they did not have cash to give me. Offered me store credit. I do not want $200 in store credit. I want the return I was told would be no problem.I was told I would be issued a corporate check that could take 2-4 weeks to receive. Not only was I told the return would be no problem, but they advertised easy returns. No where on the receipt or in the store was I told they could not put it back on my card and would not be able to give me cash.I was told nothing we can do about it when I was given the timeline for the corporate check. I will never be back. HIGHLY dissatisfied.

Im only giving a negative review because the manager I checked out with this evening was rude. when I got to The cutting counter the woman behind the desk had no visible name tag or anything else that would Mark her as an employee. I asked for 3 yards of a fabric.when she unrolled the fabric it had a little more than 3 yards of a cut piece. instead of offering me the extra 6 or so inches at a discounted price she then snapped it off without saying a word. She even asked to see the cutting ticket to make sure she put the correct yards down. She thought she put one yard instead of three. When I later brought the sale items to the counter I pointed out that they were price marked wrong. they had been on a 75% off shelf. Making Both fabrics I selected $3 a yard. One of them rang up for $9. Both of the items were clearly Halloween character fabric like the sign said. She then bluntly said the orange and black striped fabric was not Halloween. I showed her exactly where I picked it up from and she still just said thats the correct price. She didnt even say Im sorry it was in the wrong place or explain how it wasnt a Halloween fabric just looked and said no its the right price. she then didnt teach the employee she was helping how to put in the coupon that I had brought up. It seemed like her employee was a complete inconvenience to her.

They have pretty much EVERYTHING you could need for anything from sewing needles, string, markers and paints to fabric knitting supplies and stationary. Beats having to pay shipping online.

The service was great. All the workers were helpful and kind hearted.

This is my favorite location. It’s always clean and the staff are easy to find and have a genuine knowledge of sewing. I think their selection of fabrics is better or just easier to look through.

The ladies at the fabric cutting counter helped me out a lot! Not only with measuring my scarf so I could match the length but helped me find the type of fabric I was looking for to replicate the scarf style. Fingers crossed the project goes as planned!

Your website and Google says you are open until 8pm yet you closed at 6pm??? Drove 20 min each way in the snow to get there for nothing. Extremely rude to not update your hours.

Good array of fabric but its expensive unless you use a coupon. Walmart and Hobby Lobby have much better prices every day.

I just started sewing again and the higher prices and too many coupons mean you have to really pay attention and read the exclusions but once you learn that its fine.

A classic -- I couldnt find a specific texture of fabric at the Walmart so of course I came here. The checkout person told me to pull up coupons on my phone, so I saved a third off my total purchase. Cozy, friendly place.

They have a lot of things I need locally. I bought a sewing for that was close to $300 and was able to use a 50% off coupon to get it for 1/2. If you sign up for email, thget send great coupons constantly. Most ofvthge time the employees are helpful.

Excellent inventory of fabric threads and crafts. Staff is hit or miss. Either really happy and knowledgeable to sullen and bored. There is typically extended wait times at the cutting table. They have a ticket system, but they dont always honor it. There is also typically an extended wait at the checkout as well. Usually there is only one employee cutting and one ringing.

Staff is less-than-friendly every time Ive visited this location in the past 24mo. And though theyre typically all female, theyre definitely not as welcoming & friendly as the associates used to be here. Its literally the same 2-3 associates working every time Ive run in quickly the past 12mo, and its always awkwardly quiet in the store 30min before closing (the only time I can run out & shop).

Because of the deceptive ad of Black Fridays flyer, 4 women at the cloth table started talking about the Nov 26, 28,& 29 all day door busters. One said she had come the day before only to learn that the fleece sale was only the day after. Another lady was buying cozy flannel only to learn that that sale was only for the day before!!! The print in the red circle was valid Wed. & Fri.Three of us started talking about 2 other places to purchase fabric and two of us 3 days later got together and went to a fabric store in Auburn. Great deals, pleasant people and good prices.Since we swapped names and telephone numbers the third lady took us along with another lady to yet another great fabric place.Jo-anns just might have lost 4 customers.

I love this store, but I am so disappointed with this locations quality. I just moved back down from NH. So Im used to the newington store, which was always well organized and stocked. This one is awful, at least for what Im purchasing.I almost weekly purchase wooden letters, and just little finished wooden decals. At most stores, there in well organized shelving, all I there own slots, easy to choose from. Well at this store there all just thrown into a bin. There all mixes together, no organization what so ever which wouldnt be a big deal, BUT because of this ALL the product is scratched. Im having to buy damaged product because its the only one there and just painting it myself. Which is getting ridiculous.I went today to purchase the 6 block letters, and they only had 8 options for letters... last time I checked there was 26 letters in the alphabet.. whats the point of even carrying them..Anyways this is beyond frustrating since I cant order online, the things I make are on a time contraint. The next closest store is the nashua store, which is like a hole In the wall and doesnt carry any of the items I need. At this point I had to go to hobby lobby to get my items instead multiple times.

I appreciate the location of the store. However, do not go here expecting to leave at a appropriate time. They are extremely slow at check out which is usually only 1 cashier at a time with very large lines waiting. I love some of the girls that work there as they are very helpful... specially when i dont know about a particular material or notion they help guide me in the right dirrction when they dont know themselves. Other ladies can certainly have a kit kat once in a while. I am there every other day or 2 and i can pin point a couple that i have never seen them smile and they rarely ever lift their eyesight to look at anyone.... much less be very helpful when you have a question.Positives:I looove the selection of yarns! Omg, seriously its so great! Specially the cotton selection! The favric department is ah-mazingggg!!! I can seriously be there for hours! Thhe fabric i wish they had more of is terry cloth variety but its pretty good.

I visited this store on a Sunday afternoon. The wait to have the fabric cutwas just terrible. I waited over 30 minutes to have two yards cut... I proceed to check out and there is only one cashier.. I waited another20 minutes in line with only one person in front of me that was beinghelped when I got to the register... This store needs more employessand a self check out and express check out!!! It was alot of wasted timejust standing around in line. I will not be going back to this location.
