This place was really good. Elijah helped us and was super friendly, made sure we tried samples and landed on peanut butter and coconut Gelato. Clean inside and out but needs more lighting and couple spots to sit out front.

I was visiting friends in Mesa and wanted some sorbet since its nearly impossible to find where I live. After a quick Google search, we decided to check this out since it was nearby. Oh my goodness....so glad we did! We saw the option of a gelato taco, and who doesnt want a novelty dessert?! After trying samples of several flavors, I had a strawberry sorbet taco with whipped cream, and it was AMAZING. They also had boxes of Italian cookies, so we snagged a box to take to a potluck later that night. The cookies were a big hit too! After enjoying it so much, we went back the next day for another gelato taco. The owner recognized us and made us feel welcomed. Ive recommended this place to so many of my friends in the area and wish there was a location here in Idaho near me! Ill be back to visit again this fall and will be stopping here first thing. :) I love my strawberry sorbet, but peach or grape would also be amazing!

OMG!!! This is the BEST sorbet I’ve ever had!! I unfortunately couldn’t try their gelato there famous for...lactose 😤My friend who introduced us to this place “Heaven on a Spoon”😍 said this was a must try and it did NOT disappoint! I especially love this establishment not only because the flavors were so delicious but because the owner had so many flavors to choose from, for those of us who are dairy impaired...lol!I’m definitely coming back next time I’m in Arizona, originally from Cali. Absolutely would recommend...obviously!! 😁

The minute we walked in the door, we were greeted like royalty. The gentleman behind the counter asked if we had every been there before and when we said No, he said boy are we going to have fun. He enouraged us to try any and all flavors and it was hard to make a final decision. All the choices were so good. He was charming and very pleasant. I would highly recommend this for a family outing for a cool treat.

Exact taste to horchata and tiramisu. The dark chocolate taste just like a nestle or Hershey pudding style. The lemon and strawberry are super refreshing! Super friendly. Classic music, makes you feel like your in the older times of good times. Constantly fresh batches! Very very clean. Absolutely 5 star! Prices are very reasonable.

Disappointed. We stopped in for my birthday and while the sample I had was tasty, the gelato I got as part of the white taco was icy and not at all smooth. The taco was messy and lacked flavor. I had high expectations given the 4.9 on google reviews but was let down.

I absolutely lovveeee their gelato, I first experienced this wonderful place at Metro Mall ( now shut down) my partner and I would make it a routine to get gelato every time we went to the movie theaters , we would even sneak some in thats how irresistible it was for us, we got to meet Momma Lombardo ( I believe) and she was just the biggest kind hearted soul , the experience definitely left mark in a hearts and after a year im so happy theyre still going ❤ cant wait to visit the mesa store for the first time

I absolutely love this place. This was my first time ever visiting. I got Tiramisu Gelato with Espresso, so delicious! Of course they have different flavors and I recommend everything. The worker is amazing, so nice, friendly, and very knowledgeable. I actually beg you to go here if youre thinking about ice cream!

This is the best gelato ever! Best frozen dessert Ive ever had. So creamy and tons of flavor. Comes in a plastic container that you can close and put in the freezer later. Great service, and very good pricing! Will be a regular customer.

I cannot emphasize enough how quickly you should get up and come get gelato here. I have had many shops versions of real Italian gelato, and this was by far the best. Traditional flavors and some creative ones as well, all delicious. The pistachio is other worldly. The mango tastes like youre literally eating the fruit itself. The owner is friendly and chatty and loves to give samples. He is obviously proud of his product, as well he should be. The prices are amazing. The portions are huge. The service cant be beat. We are visiting from Tucson, but will be going back before we leave, and will definitely make the trip just for a fix!!

The the girl that works there in the evening is just a doll just so pleasant easy to talk to she was just wonderful and the place itself is is just so quaint. Im Italian born and raised in Brooklyn New York he has Italian ice and Italian cookies cannolis. I was in heaven. There was a couple that came in she eats sugar free ice cream raspberry over chocolate. If he doesnt have one or the other hell go in the back and make it for her on the spot. Thats the kind of service that brings people back you can tell that she was totally flattered by him doing that for her it was almost like she was bragging and I thought it was wonderful. I honestly wish them all the success in the world. Someone whos that dedicated to their customers should get the reward of being successful for him and his family and that wonderful employee that he has working for thats just a doll she needs a raise and a promotion LOL

I had some mango and yogurt gelato. Both were tasty. I was going for ice cream that would quench thirst and these flavors were perfect for that. The yogurt gelato has a tart flavor and I felt pretty healthy eating it. I had some of my husband’s chocolate and pistachio gelato and it was also delicious.

The flavors and service is good but I’ve ordered from there 3 times and every time the gelato leaves a waxy film in my mouth, I thought it was just me but this last time I put my gelato in a bowl when I got home and when I went to clean that bowl it had the same waxy film all over it, looked kinda like oil. I think it might partly be because they use heavy cream and or high fat milk (my thoughts cause that’s what’s used to make butter hence the oiliness).. not exactly sure but unfortunately I’ll have to pass on this place from now on.

I have to give highest level of recognition to the owner Greg he is amazing. My wife went one day and she wanted to get peanut butter chocolate gelato which she like since she is pregnant and they were out. She was disappointed BUT the owner immediately made it fresh and brought it just for her even it was couple of minutes away from closing for the day. When I heard this I personally had to go snd see this gentleman and his business. Truly it is pleasure to meet the owner Andy get more gelato. I truly wish that this business will flourish with more snd more customers and I know I will be one of the regulars. Thank you!

This place truly lives up to its name. Wow! Fantastic, no exaggeration. Not many places have low sugar options but you can find them here. I went for the low sugar chocolate and it was wonderful. Very rich, intense chocolate flavor and the perfect sweetness. Husband got the child size tiramisu flavor just to try it and is now whining that he should have bought a huge one. Very friendly people here too. We will be back soon. Heck, maybe later today for more tiramisu!

This place is amazing! The owners make the gelato themselves and all of the flavors taste great. He knows exactly whats in each flavor, so if you have allergies youll be able to find something and be confident in eating it without consequences. Everyone who works there is very friendly and helpful, plus you can sample as many flavors as you want before you make a decision (she is also an amazing combo maker if you need help)! Their drink options are very tasty as well.

Literally heaven on a tiny spoon! We had a great experience today and had the pleasure of interacting with the owners. You could truly tell they were passionate about gelato and their business. Wife had the Oreo (huge chunks of the cookie - a must have!) and I had the Dark Chocolate (soooo chocolate-y!). Creamy, smooth, and FRESH! Prices are reasonable and very comparable to chain ice cream stores. We will definitely be back!

My best friend and I are here right now, had the cheesecake and the mint chocolate (with real mint from Italy and the chocolate chips are made in house), and are sitting at our table completely full. Im writing this after our second time at Heaven On A Spoon. This place is fabulous! Weve interacted with both the Gelato Man and his wife and the service here is second to none! They offer samples of as many as you need to decide (and our children need many) and they are incredibly nice. The gelato itself is absolutely delicious! Weve tried MANY flavors as well as the Dark Taco in our two times here and weve walked away each time extremely satisfied and happy. The owners are incredibly personable and lovely. The place is near our home and the prices arent bad either! We hope Heaven On A Spoon stays for a long time!
