This place was great for the kids! It is very interactive and enjoyable for all ages. I love the dedication to family history the LDS have and they do a wonderful job of incorporating that into everything. I recommend everyone visit this place even if not of their faith.

Good experience at the store. People are very helpful! The creamery adjoining the store gives a smell that is amazing. The ice cream there is double amazing! Dont be fooled by what a scoop is. It is very large! Probably the next time I will ask for a childs portion.

Super friendly staff, great location, and amazing selections of many different things from books, bags, and other religious materials.

So interesting. Kids loved it. And the kids family history area is kind of cool. My kids loved scrolling through famous relatives.Although I do miss the huge Christus statue.

Brand new store and its clean and beautiful! Ive always loved deseret book and its still just around the corner from the Mesa temple! You have to be careful when looking up the address because theres still the old address in the system, but youll be able to tell if youve gone to the wrong place.

We couldnt resist indulging in the delicious ice cream at Sweet Retreat at the East end of Deseret Book. They have BYU Creamery ice cream and MINT BROWNIES! We havent tasted those delicious mint brownies since we left Provo!

Visited yesterday during their grand reopening, large selection of LDS related books, and other items. Very friendly and helpful staff. Also received a coupon for ice-cream next door, which was very tasty.

This place is the cleanest, friendliest, the environment is amazingly peaceful and beautiful. Unique!

Beautiful new location that is right next to the temple and the new visitors center. Has everything a typical deseret book should have. Service was friendly and prompt upon entering and looking around.

They were out of the dont miss this thing I was looking for. I had checked online before hand, but I guess pre orders still show up in their system. A little annoying, but ask a nice, clean store.

I saw a beautiful picture on the wall at this location. A month later I called to see how much it cost. I then asked if any were in stock (I was put on hold while he looked.) I was told no, so I asked if I could buy the picture on display. I was told yes, and drove 25 minutes to get to the store. After arriving I was then told by the gentleman I spoke with on the phone, that his supervisor told him he couldnt sell me the picture on display. I dont understand why you would display an expensive picture, and not have any available in stock. And I dont think it was fair that I was denied the opportunity to buy the one picture they had, especially after being told I could. I dont know if Ill ever return to this store. Besides this bad experience, their prices are ridiculously high!IN ADDITION: In regards to your reply Lori, there is no reason to call you. I settled on a similar picture because I was buying it for my nephews birthday this month. I was told if I ordered the original one I wanted, it would take 4-6 weeks to get it, thats ridiculous!

Excellent service when I walked in they asked me right off the bat what I wanted and not made my trip that much easier and faster.

I love browsing throughout the store. Now that there is also a store in Gilbert a its hard not to compare them. The store on Mesa drive is much smaller and the parking is limited. However the staff is very friendly and helpful and the store contains the same wonderful products. All in all, its a great shopping experience!

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming each time I go to Deseret Book. This time, I took my mother-in-law to get something she needed. The service she received was helpful, friendly and courteous. We were in and out very quickly. On other trips, I may take time to browse, spending as much time as I desire. Help is always available, never pushy.

The staff at this location were all very nice and helpful. My favorite part is the childrens corner with coloring activities and books. My 4 kids had fun there while I got to roam the store. Inside the store is small but well laid out.

The ladies are so very helpful! And they have lots of books. Religious and secular. They also have beautiful art and lots of other great things. And some Food items. My kids know this bargain book. But we didnt buy it because they didnt have the first one in the series. So were going to library it up.

What happened to all of the books?It seems that over the last few years the selection of books in the store has dwindled a little. Perhaps the digital world has caused it!?!?I do love to see all of the beautiful artwork and the tools, guides, and trinkets that help us as Latter-day Saints let our faith shine.I am particularly excited about having the clothing distribution inside of the bookstore as I feel it will widen the hours of accessibility.

This bookstore is geared toward members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. So, you will find copies of the Book of Mormon inside. You will also find beautifully bound copies of the King James Bible and many wonderful Christian books. Journals, music, thought-provoking books, clean novels, movies, trendy decor, beautiful artwork, and value based childrens gifts abound. Take a look inside and you will be delighted!My only frustration is sometimes the prices are difficult to find or, even worse, non-existent. Its too frustrating to walk back and forth asking for the price on everything. So, it deters my shopping here unless Im looking for something specific.

They held a dress for me but there was some confusion when we went to pick it up. People were friendly and helpful but not super efficient at helping us just check out. The inside is nice but the building and location are quite dismal. I dont find the prices to be any great deal either.

I went in with little hope of finding a book I knew was out of print. The store clerks were very patient and helpful and actually found a copy in the back room that had been returned some months earlier. I love this store and Im impressed with the helpful staff.

They have gutted the place. Removed most of the deep doctrine and history books and replaced it with fluff. High level, church approved curriculum with no real source material. Add in a bunch of over priced cheaply made toys and gifts and this place is just a shell of what it used to be. I wish the church had never purchased it.

Had a difficult time getting sale clerk to acknowledge me at the counter, so I could buy my book,had to wait for someone else to come over. And never got ask to be helped in garment section either. So I just left.
