Since I bought my car last June, this has been the only place Ive taken it to for my oil changes. The lady behind the desk is super friendly and very helpful. They arent out to make as much money as possible off of every customer, only suggesting new filters after showing me how horrible mine looked! Thanks for being awesome!

Frauds! Will over charge you and lie to you so you will spend More money on an unnecessary job. They were going to charge me over $200 to get my emblem replaced and said something about the labor and wiring because my emblem popped off and they said it was “impossible” to fix without another part and the connector was broken. My intuition told me they were full of it and I took it some where else where the mechanic popped it on for free and said it was a simple fix (shakes my head)! They were going to make me buy an unnecessary part and pay for labor for something that took 5 minutes to do and another mechanic did out the kindness of his heart. Please get a 2nd and 3rd opinion when it comes to this place, they seem nice but they are wolves in sheep’s clothing! Don’t get taken advantage of and they will get their karma

Pros:*Michelle was great. Excellent customer service and very pleasant.*Very quick service. Oil change took about 30 minutes. They also checked my spark plugs and brakes during this time.Cons:*I only have one concern. They let me know that my brakes were less than 20% in the front and needing to be replaced ASAP. They then provided me with a quote to replace. The backs were still okay but would need to be replaced soon. I recently had my brakes looked at a week ago and was told they were good.I asked to see them so they could show me. They said they would jack it back up to take the wheels back off to show me. They jacked my car back up but then said they made a mistake. The front pads are over 60% and the backs have even more. A little suspicious as there is a pretty big difference between below 20% and above 60%.Now this might have been a mistake and they did in fact think it was below 20%. If that were the case though, I dont really feel confident in their diagnostic and mechanical expertise at this point.Regardless, I will not be back to this shop.

Jared takes care of you and your car like you are family. He is honest and trustworthy and goes above and beyond. He will give you his opinion and save you spending any unnecessary money. I don’t have a common car and he has gone to great lengths to keep my car with all needed work so I can rely on it and he stands behind his work.

Took my vehicle here. After picking it up, the car sounds and drives exactly the same, I take it back, which they were nice about, but they say it’s a whole different issue of course, doesn’t fix my car. Why is not any better after spending over $1000? Went back three times, car is still in the same condition, well expect now my engine light is on too. I will not return here nor do I recommend their services.

I found this place because of I was looking for deals on oil changes. I called a few days ago, and the woman at the desk offered me the low Groupon price upfront and scheduled me an appointment. She was so kind and courteous on the phone and in person. I got a synthetic oil change for $33! They changed my oil, checked my brakes and filled my tires in about 45 minutes (even though I was running late). I look forward to coming here again!

I take all 3 of my vehicles for regular maintenance. They get the job done right in a timely manner.

I took my car to this place to get fixed paid $1134 and its been 1 month and my car is back in my car port unfixed. I had my car towed 3 times in a matter of 2 weeks because once they told me my car was fixed I would pick it up and it would only run for 2 days then not start again once I used all my available tows he then offered to get the car towed using his company which was nice but it also took him 2 times to get my car towed back to him and this last time I just decided not to take it back and told him since he couldnt figure out what was wrong with my car then I would just take it somewhere else. he suggested that I take it to a Nissan dealership so they can run a diagnostic and once they figured out what it was then I can take it to him and he can help me pay for it. I told him I should not have to pay for anything because my car is still not fixed for over 1 month!!! He then proceeded to say that he fixed various other parts in my car out of his pocket to be exact he said he paid $400 out of his pocket and I said it doesnt matter my car is still not RUNNING!!!! Even though the mechanic Joe was very nice he just didnt fix my car and I got shafted and $1000 in the whole with no working car.

I found J&L on Groupon for a full synthetic oil change over 2 years ago when I purchased my 2017 Hyundai Sonata brand new. I havent taken my car to another shop since because Ive been so impressed with their customer service and quality of work. I am 100% confident that they will take care of you. I took my car to Gunnel’s for new tires. Thought I’d have an oil change while it was there. They called me & told me the threads to drain plug were stripped & I needed a new oil pan. Cost 1000 with labor. I took it to J&L - they got a new plug and rethreaded it - less than $100. Guess who lost my business! Thanks to Michelle and Elroy!

Quick and easy. Took no more than 30 minutes in and out. Only bad part is that you have to wait outside in the summer heat while it is getting done.

Fantastic auto shop! Bought a deal for a synthetic oil change from Groupon, had never heard of the company prior to the deal, despite having previously lived right around the corner from them. The shop is smaller and when I went, it was literally packed with cars so I had assumed there would be some crazy wait time, but I was completely wrong. Fastest oil change I have literally ever had. Total I was in and out in less than an hour. The owner of the shop brought me my keys when it was finished and went over the inspection they did on my vehicle as part of their customary oil change. Explained to me very transparently that the car overall looked to be in good shape but that my cabin filter might need to be changed soon. He took the time to inform me why it was important to maintain, without being condescending which quite honestly is a rare occurrence as a woman. I had mentioned to him that my husbands car would need an oil change and that I would need a break replacement soon. He was incredibly polite and offered me some phenomenal deals for both. I will without a doubt be returning for any auto services needed in the future. Thanks a bunch!!

Great service and prices with honest advice. Never felt like I was being up sold or talked into repairs I didnt really have to do. On top of all that my car was in and out. Definitely recommend this shop. The only reason this isnt 5 stars was the location. Its a little but hard to find and you cant see it from the road. Now that I know where to go though Ill be taking my cars back for sure.

I took my car to J&L auto to get the intake manifold gasket replaced because it was leaking. I took them my car there yesterday and I was not expecting to pick it up until Monday. Well I received a phone call from them today stating that my car was ready to be picked up. Shocked I went and picked it up right away. When I got there they explained to me in detail what happened to the gasket and why the gasket was leaking, they even offered to show me the old gasket that they took out of my car. They went above and beyond and make sure that I was happy with their work before I drove off. They did such a good job that I did not realize that my car was already running until I stepped on the gas pedal and heard the engine ROAR!!!I will be taking my car to J&L auto for ALL its future repairs. I would recommend J&L to anyone who is looking for a trusted mechanic with reasonable prices to work on their car

Great experience. They were fast, friendly, and very helpful. They treat you like family, and they’re very honest, they don’t just try to sell you stuff or con you into paying for things, they’re genuine about the matienance of your car and what you need done, and things to be watchful of. They actually take the time to show you what’s needed, they are priced extremely reasonably and they’re nice people! Can’t complain about a thing, definitely reccommend.

Jared is no longer with J & L auto and neither is the customer service. Ive been a customer for over two yrs and during a routine oil change trip; I was told crudely that Jared was no-longer with the company. They didnt offer to assist me with the reason for my visit but instead brushed me off.

I usually dont write reviews but they have a great Groupon and fantastic service. They were able to do an oil change, tire rotation, and checked my car out; all within 30 minutes. Really nice and respectful, I would recommend this place to anyone who needs help with their car!

Exemplary Customer Services! In an age where mechanics try to milk you dry and pull the wool over your eye, its good to know places like J&L exist!Been here twice, the first time for brake pad. My battery died and they were able to contact the dealer and get me a new one since I was under warranty. Did that free of charge!The second visit was for a tire rotation and general check up and they once again treated me with respect. They know how to treat people and its the little things that they get right that many places dont.

I found J & L through Groupon when I was looking for a good deal on a full synthetic oil change. I was really impressed with the staff and their courtesy. I talked to them about another issue I was having so they hooked it up to their code reader and gave me an estimate on the labor for that repair. I took my car back today to reolace that crank shaft sensor and they were so fast. I was literally in and out in 1 hour. There was no waiting for them to get to my car. Plus they just started having Saturday hours which was a life saver because my work schedule changed for the next 4 weeks and I did not want to go anywhere else. I absolutely love the small shops. They have the personality I an looking for. Thank you J & L for awesome service. I wish i found you sooner.

I took my car in today because my brakes were grinding terribly and I work during the week. Normally they aren’t open on Saturday but when Joe heard about my brakes he told me he’d be happy to fix them for me today. (He was only in to finish some work from earlier in the week)It turned out my front rotors and rear drums needed to be replaced and he stayed several hours on his day off to do the work.He also took the time to show me everything on my car (even old problems) and let me know which things really needed to be repaired and which things were only cosmetic or could wait. He also fixed an oil leak that only needed something screwed on tighter but no repair.While I was waiting for the car he even ran to circle K and bought me a soda since his soda machine was broken.I will definitely be going back!

The mechanic was very nice and got me in quickly, but unfortunately the cold windshield wiper fluid they put in my car, without warning, caused a huge crack in my windshield when I used it.

I found these guys over a year ago and I will not go anywhere else. I travel from West Phoenix and it is always worth the trip. J & L has always taken well care of my car.

I came here the first time with a Groupon for an oil change. Now all my cars come here. All the staff is customer service friendly. The prices are fair and they work with you. In my opinion, they are working people who want to keep working people working. I wouldnt go anywhere else.

Got a Groupon after reading reviews online. Mostly positive reviews from many people from a few differnt sites. I was very suprised they got me in same day that i purchased Groupon. They did what they said and did not try to up sale me! I highly recommend trying, and i will definitely be back next time i need my truck serviced. THANKS

Joe has had my truck for going on 6 months, never test drove it before he had me pick it up twice in the six months. So I had to have it towed to his shop 3 total times, 60 miles away from me.For the last month-and-a-half after blaming one of his employees, he has been telling me itll be ready in a week thats what he says every week, I finally had to let him know if he couldnt finish it this week I need to pick it up which I did and its in worse shape then when I dropped it off. Hes been paid in full for three and a half months.So now my truck is in worse shape Ive made payments on it for 6 months and insurance and Ive had to have it towed 6 total time. Needless to say it was not a good experience.
