Worked with the owner today to do a trade in and purchase. Let me start off by saying that you don’t run into owners like this too often. He was extremely honest and helpful. The whole staff is amazing. I will refer ALL of my friends and family to American Guns and Ammo. They will have my business forever, that’s the truth.

I had the best experience purchasing my first gun. I went in knowing for the most part what I wanted, they had it in stock let me know all the details between the 380 and the 9mm and really gave me a lot of insight on what would be best what ammo prices are and what would be the best bang for my buck. Wow! What a terrific experience! As a first-time handgun buyer I was a little intimidated even thinking about heading into a gun store. What do I need? What questions should I ask? What is the process of buying a gun? How will I be treated?I walked through the door at American Guns & Ammo and all those concerns went right out the window! The owner (Al) immediately greeted me and told me he would be right with me. He made sure he understood what I was looking for, and expertly guided me to several choices that might be right for me. He gave me his full attention and spent a lot of time with me making sure I was comfortable with my selection.He explained the purchase process carefully, and offered coffee while we waited for the process to complete. Al made what could have been an intimidating process into a real pleasure. This is what good old customer service is!! Highly recommended!!

I would have given it five stars had the guy with the beard kept his thoughts to himself about me not having an i.d. on me while buying a $200 barrel for my AR-15 which doesnt even require an i.d. to purchase.And two days later I receive an email from an online retailer advertising the exact same barrel which come to find out has an msrp of $130 and was on sale for $109.I was gonna take it back and buy the one online but I think it might be worth the hundred bucks Id save online to not have to go back there.It is a nice place with lots of good stuff.................. if you dont mind the 70-100% mark up in price and being lectured by some cat that believes anyone cares what he thinks.

I purchased my Banshee here and everyone was really great, I have done service with them as far as installing triggers and maintenance and all is great . I did purchase a used gun from them and I did over pay for it , and turns out that after I shot it once and put 5 rounds through it don’t like it all and I have problems with my hands and is just not a good gun for me . I had hoped that since I did pay more for it and have done business with them before that I could get a decent amount for a store credit so I could purchase another gun from them . Unfortunately that is just not the case I didn’t expect what I paid for it even on store credit but I was offered half ,he asked me if I had the box still ? I never got a box or a case with it ? And it was in the same condition as when I purchased it. The gun has been in my safe other than one time firing 5 rounds. Live and learn. I would never put negative stars because my fault for buying it , I just would have hoped that I would be a little more fair with asking for store credit as still pay retail and mark up for a different gun I liked and would use . They are good people to purchase from .

I had put in a special request I had never thought would be filled buy ask ye shall receive lol. Josh called me several months after I had been into the shop to let me know an item I had been unsuccessfully searched for was in the shop and available.They held it for me and Im sure if they didnt they could have sold it 50 times over. I am just blown away that when this thing came in, Josh(superman of the gun store employees) remembered to call me.When I arrived I noticed some other things I wanted and they gave me a discount on top of getting me my holy grail. One of the items was an optic I normally wouldnt have considered but the firefield 1-6x lpvo has amazing eye relief, clear glass, nice reticle, and a third the price of comparable scopes imo.Josh even mounted my scope and threw in some of my favorite stickers to boot! I tried to make a purchase and asked a few questions but I kept hearing political agenda I called a gun an assault rifle and they kept saying its not an assault rifle I really do not care what you call it I just want to make a purchase. It was nice to get 9mm and that they ration customers but it felt difficult to get past the whole assault rifle thing. Not a great experience Ive bought guns and ammo for 19 years and was not happy with this younger group lecturing me.

As a female novice gun owner, it can be a little intimidating going into a gun store. The atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming, and I felt very comfortable. I inherited a Beretta 21A from my dad a few months ago. I went in looking for ammo so I can try it out. Even though they were sold out, Al went in back and scraped together 3/4 of a box for me....and he gave it at no charge. Amazing customer service.

Its a bit remarkable that this shop has so many positive reviews.My brother and I walked into the store today looking to potentially purchase a Glock, 9mm die set, and 9mm ammo. Initially we asked if they had any die sets and an individual with a long, gross, red beard stated that they dont carry any reloading supplies. Okay, understandable.Our follow up questions was if they had any 9mm ammunition. The employee said yes, and that it was going for $50 for 50 rounds, or $1/ round. Talk about some serious PRICE GOUGING! I understand supply and demand, hence why we asked for a die set initially, but thats a crazy price. Even the little that Bass Pro had on hand was less expensive.Regardless, our response was simple, wow, no thank you. From there, the beard boy stated that youll be back in 2 months when you cant find it anywhere else and began laughing with him and his other employee buddy. Price gouging is one thing, but then to mock the customer... completely UNPROFESSIONAL.10/10 would recommend finding another gun shop.. theres a ton of them to choose from in AZ!!

Jacob was SUPERB! I found my grail pistol, the M18 commemorative, and he hooked it up with some essentials to go along! This is on top of being super friendly and knowledgable; as well as his swift and professional mannerism! Had the firearm cleaned, lubed, and sent me home with a bottle of the house-brand lube too! 11/10 will HIGHLY recommend!

The owner (at least I think) al is an absolute saint, he wont lie to you and make you feel like you have to buy anything right then and there. If he can hell get you the best deal or send you to the next best spot for it. I highly recommend this spot for first time gun owners and veterans of the gun world alike.

I bought a suppressor from these guys and if anyone has researched it can be a complicated process, but not with them! They handled everything for me, from filling out the paperwork to changing out my barrel device to attach the suppressor. I’ll definitely be going to them for all my firearm needs.

He remembered me from those many years ago, gave me that big ol grin and solid hand shake that he does and asked how I’d been doing. This guy and his staff care far more about caring for the customers that come into his store than they do about the gun and ammunition sales. That stuff speaks volumes to me. This place is incredible. Ive been to a handful of shops around the valley and this one is BY FAR the best. Honestly, I now exclusively shop here for anything I need because of every single one of my experiences thus far.Josh and Kevin, among with the rest of the staff are very welcoming and willing to answer any questions I had, even provide recommendations and experiences with certain firearms, parts, and accessories. At no point did I feel belittled or awkward within the environment like most of the other shops.For context a story of my experience:One of my recent stops was a request for my girlfriend, whom had just purchased her first Aero Precision X15 in FDE color, but the barrel was a 20 heavy barrel that was too difficult for her to maintain while at the range. While walking the store, a blue handguard had caught her eye and she had to have it as she says. Not only did Josh and Kevin find a new lightweight 16 barrel, gas block and tube, but enjoyed the idea of the blue handguard on an FDE colored rifle, as weird of a request as it was.Additionally, they provided gunsmith services, so they also were able to install everything. While they were working, they would check-in with me to provide updates on the installation, as well as provide water or Gatorade if needed. Over and above hospitality. Once everything was installed, they verified that everything functioned flawlessly and I was on my way.Immediately my girlfriend fell in love with the new barrel and color handguard. This apparently opened the door for her, as we returned the following week for more blue parts. Upon returning, they immediately recognized me the the blue handguard and we laughed and joked a bit. Very, very warm and welcoming again. And with that, I picked up more blue parts/accessories.American Guns & Ammo is a MUST-GO-TO for everyone, even if just for the experience of it. No pressure, no intimidation, just a calm, relaxing place to be. For me, its like Im a kid in a candy store again. Called American Guns and Ammo to ask if they carried a specific manufacturer of AR-15s. My call was answered by a salesman named Paco who informed me, unfortunately that they did not carry the AR I had in mind but instead of just saying sorry, no we dont he took the time to inform me of the lines that they did carry and all the products they kept in stock. Pacos professionalism and customer service were the reason I decided to take a drive to the store and check things out. I figured if they were willing to spend time on the phone discussing what it was I was looking for and all of the options they had that could help me with my build then the customer service in person would have to be top notch, and I was right. When I got to the store I just happened to be greeted by Paco who immediately remembered me and our discussion on the phone (it had been a couple hours). After a little discussion on what it was I wanted to accomplish we decided that building my own AR (for the first time) would be my best course of action. At this point Al, the store owner and AR specialist, kind of took over and really knew the right questions to ask to determine exactly what I was after out of this build and the best parts to assemble. Als wife even handled all of the paperwork and background check while Al and I were picking and choosing the parts that I would eventually assemble an AR Lower receiver with, two birds with one stone. All in all I picked up everything I needed to assemble my first AR Lower Receiver that day and couldnt be happier. Al even explained a few of the steps and gave me a few pointers and tricks to help make the assembly go smoother, then asked me to please bring the Lower back when I was done so he could perform a safety inspection on it just to make sure that this rookie got it right and I couldnt have been more impressed by that fact. Just another example of great customer service and another reason to support local business. I would strongly suggest Al and all of the folks at American Guns and Ammo to any of my friends and anyone else for that matter. AG&E is a phenomenal gun store. I had unique questions about an AR Build I was doing and, not only did the answer them, they were genuinely curious about the build. The shop has a good portion of everything, but focuses on mid to high quality guns, such as Vectors, Sigs, etc. They also have a pretty remarkable setup for building your own AR-15, with plenty of options to choose from.Staff is, as you can guess, very friendly and welcoming, which was a surprise to me as I came in covered in oil and other nastiness which would generally get me a cold stare from other shops. They are very knowledgeable about what they sell, and overall are good people.The prices are pretty reasonable, and seem to be the market average of what you can find online + the price for an FFL transfer which is to be expected.Overall, I highly recommend giving them the chance to earn your business as they earned mine.

Out of ALL the gun shops in phoenix area, AL and his staff are the greatest. My daughter and I really didnt know much about the whole AR building process and AL and his staff allowed us to ask questions and didnt make us feel stupid by not knowing stuff. Went in looking for an ambidextrous safety that wasn’t overly expensive. Right as I walked in I was helped even though the store was busy. The owner helped me himself and ended up just giving me a “basic” brand new ambi safety. Went in today to purchase my first gun and while I knew what I was heading in for, I was unsure of a few things and am still in serious learning mode. The staff was incredibly helpful and the transaction was quick, simple and painless. The shop was clean and the selection was pretty extensive. The reviews definitely hold up.I was given referrals for everything I needed including lessons and ranges. For the ladies and as an added bonus, the gentleman who runs the background checks is exceptionally cute.Walked out with a G19X as well as some ammo and took it to shoot. Im extremely happy with my purchase and will go back when I need more of anything else.Im looking forward to learning more.

Went in with my wife to get her a new gun, the owner was awesome and helpful, probably gonna go back today to check out a couple more things.....
