I have a 1950 Chevy truck with a low mileage 350 crate engine just like a million other people, it was difficult to start after I drove it anywhere.Very embarrassing, especially from someone with my 60 years experience in the automotive field.Of course I checked everything including making sure the battery was full.I came to the conclusion it has to be that $69.00 Chinese distributor that it came with. After looking at all the available systems out there I settled on a DUI, well after installing it I couldnt believe what I heard and saw, that engine hardly turned over before it was running, that is the way engines ran in the old days.I also installed a set of 10mm live wires, at car shows that is the most favorite item that is discussed, the folks like the live wires.I am sure the other products on the market work well, but this works very well plus I just love to tell the guys that I got a DUI last weekend, you should see the looks I get, until I show them my DUI.I have run this setup for two years now without a hic-cup.I cant use the three duece setup I have had on all my rods over the years because of the large distributor, but I do have a two duece set-up that I will install soon.

Was considering the purchase of a DUI distributor for an inboard ski boat engine. Emailed the company to ask some questions and was expecting a reply in a couple of days. They replied in less than an hour!Thats great customer service. With that kind of response and the excellent reputation of their products, I felt very comfortable ordering the distributor.

I ordered my distributor for my IH Scout on January 12th 2021. On the order form it said up to 6 to 9 weeks to get the order. I reached out to PD in early March requesting a status and the gentlemen who answered told me they were missing the thermostat housing. I told him I could fab that myself and to go ahead and process the order. He confirmed. The order never materialized the next two weeks, then I sent an email because the line was always busy, then I received a response stating the same thing I was told two weeks ago, as if our conversation never took place. After my distributor never showed up base on what I was told, I emailed again and was told they had to change machine shops and it would be delayed again. My order shipped April 15th, 2021. 14 Weeks after my order was placed. Im giving two starts instead of one, because I am actually getting my distributor. Keep your customer informed. Dont make excuses, be honest. Being late these days isnt an issue, its making sure you keep your customer informed that will keep you getting good reviews. It doesnt matter how good the part is if the customer service sucks.

So I ordered a distributor for my toyota on Jan 25th from summit and still no distributor. Called summit and they tell me the estimated ship date from the manufacturer is now May 25th. 3 months later and I just might have a distributor. And looked it up on performance distributor and its 4 to 6 weeks.. probably going to use covid as a excuse...

Got new coil packs for my truck they carry quality products and they arrive on a timely manner, they also dont skimp on quality when it comes to packing so you can rest assured that the product will come unscathed from aggressive ups drivers. I would recommend this place to anyone and performance distributors is my new one stop shop for all ignition components.

Have ordered a extra dwell module and a distributor for a 70s ford and the module burned up. They offered to send one right away. 10 out of 10 customer service, any question I have had so far they have been able to answer via email in a fast and timely manner. Thanks performance you will have my buisness and friends buisness for years too come.

Livewires ignition cables fall apart after only two years of service. Called customer service and they only offered to replace cables if I paid. Crimps used on the plug wires are poor quality.

Customer service is terrible. Lost my order multiple times, no rush on their end after they put me in a time crunch. Im trying to convince my customer that these live wires are worth it, but PD is making it an impossible sale. Have been using livewires for several years now but I feel now its time to move on. Save yourself the headache and do not even bother calling them. They do not want to work, they do not want to help when they drop the ball, and if you call they cant tell you anything. Absolutely useless.*update* after no more communication, and being told that they couldnt get my coil wire too me, it arrives unannounced alongside the other companys coil wire that had no problem what so ever getting it done and shipped in a day.

Terrible customer service, after waiting 2 months for my distributor I have not heard anything from performance distributors. It took 2 days of calling and getting a busy signal all the time to finally get ahold of someone, the woman on the phone was very rude when I asked for a refund, when I went to ask how long it will take to get my refund she hung up. Over 600 dollars in limbo right now. Do not deal with this “company”. Ordered distributor for vg30 Nissan truck.

Replaced failed prestolite/pertronix set up on my Crusader 454 inboard engine with a DUI. Engine started bone cold on second rotation with no pumping of throttle or choke and initial guess timing actually at 4 degree BTDC. Distributor is good quality.Only concerns are:1. Foam used to block mechanical advance apparatus hole. Not sure this will last or meets marine dist SAE J1171 specs.2. Dist curve info was not provided as promised. Only got total advance numbers.Overall - VERY happy with this set up.
